Sure, it may not be up there with some of the other FF titles but as an RPG it still shines, I was slightly disappointed only because FFX was absolutely mind-blowing. It's still one of my favourite games :)

Think about it, it was the first direct sequel of a FF game, and the way FFX was and how it ended, everyone who played FFX had to play FFX-2 to see what happens next. Not to mention the millions of fanboys who "just had to have it" because it was under the FF name.

In my opinion, square coulda done better, they tried way too hard to make this game cool and funny but they just failed. They should stuck with the FFX style. Also the music SUCKED

As far as these Jap turn based RPG's go, FFX-2 is one of the better ones. Story wise it was a bit weak, sure. What can i say, weeaboo fags dont like sad endings or cliffhangers.

But the combat gameplay was actually fun:

1. You weren't always relying on Auron/Aeons to kill everything

2. There were only 3 chars whose combat classes were interchangable

All females too, and not just fapbait or healers. A progressive move for a sexist place like Japan.
