  • LOVE THIS VIDEO! ESPECIALLY THE PART WHERE SAV SINGS BACKUP!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!! ♥ LEPFAN4LIFE! :O)

  • I was there, I remember the atmosphere was electric. It was a fantastic day and it was really sunny and hot!

  • they not the same band without steve clark but i do think that vivian campbell is a copy cat switchin to the gibson les paul

  • @04jhayes Viv played Gibson LP's with Sweet Savage (1979) and Dio.(1983)

  • How did you get this DVD? I want it. I'll buy even buy it. I've been wanting to get my hands on this performance since my childhood.

  • BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE OF HYSTERIA!! IMO!....SOUND IS PERFECT

  • I was there....June 6th 1993. I was 30 feet from the stage. Awesome and unforgettable! Joe Elliot walked on stage and asked everyone..."Do ya wanna get rawwwked??" I had a 4ft 10" rock chick with huge boobs tap me on the shoulder for a height advantage. I couldnt bloody get her off my shoulders after!

  • Rick Savage is HOT!!!!

  • Good Times, Great Year 1993.

  • i'm still glad they are still together after all the things that happen to them

  • phil in my opinion is better than angus young.

  • @goobersrock90 AT WHAT?

  • @goobersrock90 Umm....... matter of opinion yeah....

But Angus Young plays a radically different style of guitar as well, more of a bluesy style. Phil plays more of a metal style. Two totally different things. Also, they are both great guitarists in their own right.

  • phil in my opinion is better than angus young.

  • This is great, thanks, but I can't see all your videos... I wanted "I wanna touch U". coukd you please upload it again?

  • wow! one of my favor band in Hard Rock

  • Happy Birthday Phil! freaking awesome song too

  • super!!!!

  • LOVE IT

  • Phil owned this one ; )

  • Oh crap......Here comes the tears from my eyes...........I love you guys more than anything! :')

  • who's better phil or angus young

  • @oviciadao PHIL

  • These guys are the best EVERRRRR!!!!!!!!

  • Live 1988 is better, but this concert is good ;)...

  • 1:32 - 1:38 woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

  • @MsShatterproof YEAH! so WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! <3

    ;)

  • i turned 21 on this day 6 june 1993 a memorable day for all of us

  • oh oh oh! sav looks soooooooooooo sexy!

  • Virginia Tech !!!

  • I don't know what it is...

For some reason, this being performed in the worst decade ever (90's), just makes me want to just go watch the '88 in the round version of this instead.

  • @RonnieJamesDio12345 Steve's gone...that might be why...

  • No, steve die in 1991. this is 1993.

  • Steve died 1991 I think, this was in 1993 :)

  • Nice Bass...

  • THANKS FOR ADDING!!!!!

  • epic performance,.........

  • The Best Album! The best Song:)

  • LOV E this song esp. LIVE! LOVE the bass intro!

  • Ohh god what a old feellingss

  • One of the biggest Leppard´s classic! Long live the Leps!

  • 2:36.....epic

  • was an absaloute cracking gig

saw them at birmingham nec few years later then plymouth pavillions which is a tiny gig by comparison and was chuffin loud

  • Sounds like Joe´s best year already has been.....But they are awesome anyway!!!I just got to see them live sometime!!!DEF LEPPARD ROCKS!!!!!!

  • This intro is nearly not as good as when it was done with Steve.

  • Comment removed

  • I was lucky enough to be there. The weather was so hot. Thunder, Ugly kid Joe and Terrorvision were truly amazing acts to play before Def Leppard too.

  • OMG! I REALLY wish i was at that concert. they sound AMAZING!!!! I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY wish i could meet them!!! It's my #1 Dream!!!!

  • what year was this?

  • 1993 Sheffield I Have This Concert :) REVELATION !! 5/5

  • This song is my panty melter. Just the way he signs it.....ah turn on. Rock on Def!

  • and its so sad to that this would been like a homecoming for steve and the rest of the bad. that really sucks.

  • Oh, Joe, how can a man be so sexy? What a beautiful face you've got at that time! You turn me on! I get hysterical...

  • yea i would tap that;)

  • A balanced act, fuking awesome...It must be awesome being a millionare and doing what comes natural..

and experience I will never have,,

Live your dreams guys, and relish it...

    amazing, ..

I hope I find that peace one day too

  • i love def leppard the, one armed drummer is so sick!

  • This version would make Steve proud, but no one can top Steve Clark!!! R.I.P. man

  • I wish I had written this song.

  • Sav wrote the core of this I think!!!!

  • yeah he wrote the verse riff....phil wrote the pre chorus....the rest was probably a big collaboration with the chorus and lyrics etc....great songwriting....

  • Guess you've seen Classic Albums' Hysteria? lol Great show!!

  • yep...got it on dvd....i love learnin about all that kind of stuff

  • Me 2... My bro bought it for me as a gift for xmass a few years ago! Love it! Very underated bunch of Brits!

  • from the way they are recognized by many, here in the UK, its hard to understand why more people like Bon Jovi....Def Leppard rock yet many brits see them as a pussy ballad band yet they go wild for Jovi who are very similiar....Def Leppard for me have more depth in their albums and thats why i'l take them any day of the week over Jovi

  • What do ya know???

Was online on facebook just before when my best mate put Bon-Jovi in the same status as Leppard... I youtubed him Wasted live from Tokyo '99... He enjoyed very much!!! Case closed!! Many people asume Leppard with Rocket and Pour some crap on me!!! I hate that shit!! Fuck Mutt... Love these guys so much!!!!

  • Rocket is a great song man....what are you talking about?! Mutt is a genius but I will say that Def Leppard lost their hard rock edge once they really got into close relations with each other.

  • Im from the states but have to say can't stand Bon Jokie but have always loved Def Leppard. I think they have way more of and edge and their songs have waaay more depth as you said. In fact everything up to Adrenalize was fucking amazing, so layered and thought out with incredible melodies, even on the hard stuff. But I'm partial to British bands anyway, even though Im in the States

  • thats because they still had material that they wrote with Steve Clark...after that the edge was gone for def leppard

  • Rick Savage is so sexy and i love when he sang get closer to me

  • this is good - but i do believe that the live version of this song in 1988 is utterly magical - i guess to do with the dynamics of the band at the time and also the round stage.

  • R.IP. Steve us lep fans will always imagine you at don valley

  • the best 3 versions of this song, the hysteria tour i think it was called in the round or something like that in 87 or 88,this one, and album version

  • great band

    amazing song

  • Philss actually playing Steve's guitar parts <3

  • @Bigschwang actually.. i dont think he is.. at least not in the intro..

  • they look so sad after steves death its still great but you can tell that something is missing makes me wanna cry when i hear it

  • I know exactly what you mean. I think it's cos this was steve's fave song to play live, and it had always been his dream to play the don valley. Sad stuff, he'll never be replaced, but my god, Viv does an ace job :)

  • i agree he does a great job but when it come to gettin that sweet sound only steve could do it but still its great today i already have tickets to see them again i love that band the best

  • @kd5lpr Steves favorite song, if I recall, was Love and Affection. The last track on the hysteria record. Theres a live version of this somewhere on youtube with him playing it...

  • I can just see steve dancing to the chorus.

  • so can i i wish i woulve been alive to see him in 88 but im only 13 but seein them for da second time this summer lol but i hope to see steve clark rockin to this song in heaven one day

  • @kd5lpr Yeah, this song does make them look lost without "Steamin" Steve Clark, but Phil has got a lot better since '93 at matching Steve's tone. Phil and Viv did good on the solo though : )

  • hysteria...

    perfeita...

  • I like the other intro so much better...

  • interesting how phil took alot of steve's parts....he did a good job though as always!

  • def lepard loco def lepar lo max excelente cancion xD my favourite

  • God Bless HOKIE NATION!!!

  • The song almost sounds sad without the old guitarist there if you compare to the 88 show ... it`s almost like the band is being forced to play especially the vocals

  • I wonder if it's not a combination of Joe's age and the fact that even the best voice takes a beating on the road, plus 10-15 years later. Also, this song was arguably one of the heavier "studio produced" songs? It had a LOT going on with it in terms of many layers of vocals and everything else - makes me wonder if they've stripped it down more and more each tour?

  • I was there at this gig aged 19....a tiny 5ft chunky rocker bird made up of 60% body 40% tits tapped me on the back during this song asking if she could get atop my 6'3" frame. After nearly breaking my back getting her up in such a tight confined space only 30 ft from the front, I tried looking up and asking if she was ok which was a waste of time as it was bloody loud and all i could see were her heaving tits! Those were the days!

  • Hahahaha! It's 1.37am here in Toronto, and you have my ass laughing so hard! Was she good looking at least?

  • She was quite a cool looking chick I must admit. I had trouble getting her down...she was having none of it. After Hysteria and the next song she got down. She got back on for about 3 more songs later including Armageddon it. My neck felt like i'd been in a car crash the next day due to her weight movement from waving arms and....bouncing tits of course! How could I ever forget???

  • LMAO!!! Of course we can't forget the flinging tits!....oops I meant bouncing.

Heck if that's all it took to get up on your shoulders..........I would've flashed you. Maybe that would've gotten me to 10 feet from the front. Huh? Hahaha!

  • Ok....that sounds like my kinda thing. We'll have to arrange a meet up at the next Def Lepp gig. I wont have trouble with the lifting up this time round....I promise ya!

  • Woohooo! So how close would I be able to get to the stage? You've gotten some muscles, I see......I like!

  • Sounds like you're after checking out these muscles here madam! You asking for a pic??? Ha!

  • LOL! Oh, boy! What have I gotten meself into? Well if you're offering .......sure! I'm not should what will mezmerize me more, wathching a shirtless Viv or sittin' atop o' you?....On your shoulders! Hehehehe!

  • Not shirtless, only paying homage to Va. Tech.

  • I mean that watching Viv without a shirt is Hubba hubba nice....now a days I mean.

  • i am seeing def lepp in august

  • I'm seeing them in Toronto July 4th!!!! So excited!! Two days before my birthday!!!

  • the new guy has no sound steve where are you when we need you

  • He's dead, since you were in diapers. Steve was awesome no doubt, but Viv is just as good. And he is not the new guy, he's technically been in the band longer than Steve ever was.

  • uh then listen to the 88 tour then listen to this one and believe me there is a difference steve was the back bone and yes they are great today i agree im gonna be seein them this august and i dont care if the new guy has been with them longer than steve was he will never get that sound

  • Saw them 5 times on the Hysteria tour, it was awesome. The sound might not be the 'same' but it is just as good.

  • lucky bastard i wish i could have seen them back in 87-88 but oh well

  • the new guy Viv been with Def since the ealy 90's he's not the new guy anymore he a great musician a great guitar player and he must have a great personality or he would have never got the gig,First time I had a chance to see them was back in 93 front row with Viv in the band it was great never took the time go see them when Steve was alive wish I did though.Viv got great sound!

  • everytime i hear this song or see it live, i always think about Steve. i think Viv sounds great but no-one can't replace Steve.

  • I think we all miss Steve and I'm sure the band does to I remember where I was and what I was doeing when I herd he died lets all remember him he left behind great music and I think Viv does a great job He and Phil complement each others parts wonderfully

  • lol Joe and Phil 2:38

  • Awesome track...Steve's sound is the missing part but sounds equally good to the studio take

  • Hysteria is Great Hit! Viva Def Leppard!

  • Im 13 and I agree with you guys 100% all the way! todays music is crap.

    Def Leppard for ever!!!!♥

  • I couldn't agree with you more.

  • OMG I couldn't agree with you more! Today's rock industry is a fucking joke! Rock n Roll is about fun, how the hell is today's rock that much fun?

  • Maybe there is something about the rock/metal music that scares the emo/poser rock fans (if there's any, lol).

  • Don't even get me started on emo's, why don't we all just slit our wrists while we are at it!

  • este video esta espectacular la onda de los def leppard es imprecionante espero q sigan asi

  • there's something left to loose without steve in this song

  • The Perfection...best video live of this song...I cry...thanks Def Lep

  • Great song. Brilliant video.

  • This is so beautiful, and amazing, and wow, it gives me goosebumps =] Thankyou for posting! xx

  • Damnnnnnn that Rick Savage is one HOTTTIEEE!!!....love ya !

  • joe sounds sad in this song......was this right after steves death???

  • the tour after,ya

  • You know, that's a good observation. I knew there was something different about Joe's voice during this song at times. You're right. Joe does sound sad and his eyes look sad too. Wow. I think Viv is wonderful and all, but it makes me sad not to see Steve there. Anyway, just wanted to comment. Rock on!

  • I was there, it was a fantastic concert! I remember it was a really hot day as well ;o)
