  • Holy crap.. some of these 'bikes' are bigger than some cars in the UK ^-^

  • Hoo Rah! Semper Fi Marine! I'm right there with you...

  • Ooo Rah! Semper Fi Marine! I'm right there with you...

  • HOORAH To You SSGT Chambers.

  • God bless and strengthen our military. God watch over this outstanding veteran, give him strength and peace in his heroic heart.

  • At the end he says OORAH

  • All I can say is....HOORAH....God bless all our military forces....

  • Love it, simple and strong in the message!

  • Err! Semper Fi -0811-

I know a lot of people don't know but, Please refrain from calling Marines soldiers. We're not in the Army and we are not the same thing. Thanks Carry on.

  • I think the 4 people which dislike this video should go and live in another country. This is one of the most moving videos I have ever seen. God Bless our SOLDIERS!!

  • @bamaharleygal those 4 are child molester communist fans. most likely Oliver Stone dislike this.

  • @Pogokoala Just to point out, just because someone is communist does not mean they are not patriotic or something? i know you probably didn't mean it like that but it just irks me when people say something like that. I am a communist and am going to attend the virginia military institute and serve in the USMC.

  • @santiago08121 bro don't support communism. Their system is all screwed up and their government starve people. Its so bad and far extended that they even have to start prostituting their kids just to make a $. I know this well, I've been to Cuba yes and tropical sure, but not cool when many people are struggling to eat at least a bread. Our resources are so close to that island that we cannot even help out. Not to mention that Country does not allowed help except for other poor countries like NK

  • @Pogokoala Cuba is not a communist country. I realize that popular opinion would lead us to believe that it is but there has never been a communist society. The closest humans have come to this is the way that the indians lived. If you want to learn about true communism i suggest readying das kapital and the communist manifesto. There has never been a communist country, countries such as the soviet union claimed to be communist but were really just totalitarian dictatorships.

  • I realize that popular opinion leads us to believe that communism is "evil" but in reality if you learn about it you will learn that true communism as described by marx is extremely similar to democracy. I am cuban and agree that cuba does not have an economic situation that should be desired by anyone. However, cuba is also not a communist country. They have come to this situation through ill thought out economic reforms and a corrupt totalitarian government. Communnism is not the cause.

  • @santiago08121 You can support it all you want, but Communism within itself is corrupt. The Communism you read I know what your talking about. Its pretty on paper, beautiful ideal and whatever, but the only problem with it that it does not WORK! why? because we are human not robots! we have desire, dreams, emotion, we cannot all be the same and live in peace. The reality of Communism is miss up simple as that look how enforce it is in Cuba, Veitnam , Russia, North Korea Wake up! reality suck ass

  • @Pogokoala these are not communist countries, these are all authoritarian states. Just because a country claims to be communist does not make them communist. For example, just because hitler called his party socialist does not mean that the nazis were actually socialist. Communism in itself is no more corrupt than democracy is. Countries that claim to be communist are corrupt, just as some countries that claim to be democracies are corrupt. Also Russia is not a communist country.

  • @santiago08121 Good luck, but that is an unusual ideology for someone wanting to serve their country

  • 2:42 :')

  • Semper Fi Do or Die.

  • This moment in history had better be saved into our national archives. These are the moments that personifies the true American spirit. A crowd of cheering common people, not squads of goose stepping soldiers, columns of civilian bikes and flags, not tanks and missiles. A soldier saluting comrades and civilians alike, not a dictator overseeing his military.

  • 4 Dislikes???????? These 4 people should be dragged behind the bikes..

  • This is so moving, I have watched it about 20 times and I still cry. So proud of our military and this Marine is a great example of our fighting men and women!

  • Great work! I really appreciate this!

  • Alright I have seen the short version twice now, this is my third time watching this video (first time watching the long version) and I am sobbing like a baby. The look in Chambers eyes and whats written on his face just cannot be put into words. As the wife of a Marine (he's done two tours of duty) and a military brat myself....this video says it all. Thank you to ALL who have served and those who are now guarding the gates of heaven. SEMPER FI!!

Thank you to the past, present and future men and women of our armed forces, we appreciate everything you do so we are safe here at home.

  • OMG this gave me chill and brought tears to my eyes. My Father was a Marine and I married a Marine and this is just the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. God Bless the Corp and all our soldiers who protect us everyday.

  • I salute all that has served! All Gave Some, Some Gave All !!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is Salute at Attention, the only way to render a hand salute is at attention.

  • I am so proud of these Americans!!

  • God Bless America! This young man is superb and what an honor he showed them. I understand it was around 5- 6 hrs. at attention that he did this on his own. This was no order. Thanks to all the men and women who served in Vietnam. You are not forgotten nor are our fallen friends forgotten. Long may they live in our hearts and minds. Thanks to all veterans and active servicemen and women today. We appreciate you! The ones that don't can move to another country they like better.

  • We need more veterans in office, theyve had theyre baptism

  • OORAH!

  • Semper Fi, Marine!

  • I spent 8 years in the US Army, and have three sons in now. I know that members of other branches have had a good time poking fun at each other over the years, but, Thank God for all of my brothers and sisters, Army, Air Foce, Marines and Navy. Anyone who puts on a uniform and serves our country is a hero to me. Thank God for you all

  • I just finished our V-DAY ride out here, and one of the riders directed me to this video.

Greatest f*cking dedication to our men and women who serve or have served. Fighting back tears as I write this...

  • I too have served in the Air Force and retired after 23 yrs of service.

I would like to salute and shake the hand of that MARINE!

What a wonderful tribute by the lone Staff Sergeant from the MARINE CORP. I don't know how he managed to hold that salute for that long, but Staff Sergeant, you deserve this tribute as well. GOD BLESS THE USA AND THE UNITED STATES MARINES!!!! OOH-RA MARINE

  • Respect and Honor for God and Country!!!

  • A fine man doing a fine job oooorrrrrraaaaaa MARINE

  • I have no idea how he did this for so long

  • @TheFinalFrame Not trying to B a smart a-- just was my 1st response after reading your comment BECAUSE HE IS A MARINE was my 1st said thought

  • @dnnylee hahha

    very true

However, marine or not....it is crazy how much self control, focus, and commitment he has in order to do thisl

  • @TheFinalFrame I agree, forgive me I never meant it to be rude if I was I am sorry. I was a corpsman for the Marines and know that all of them, well 99.9% of them are this disciplined. Take care and God bless you, your family and friends

  • @dnnylee It is all good.

I did not take it offensively at all. Understood where you were coming from.

I know plenty of marines as well.

  • This video and the MARINE that is shown makes me PROUD !! I Hope God blesses this young man and if I ever meet him I too will salute because he is what our young men should be! Not a marine myself but as they "SEMPER F"I!! Marine!!

  • This defines what WE are all about!

  • Thank god for this Marine and all he stands for. The dedication, sense of purpose and fortitude he displays should be a benchmark for all of us to reach aspire to.

I have never had the honoring of serving due to medical reasons, but my dad proudly served in the Navy for over 25 years. He is no longer with us, but I know if he saw this video he would agree with me that they only make a few men and women like this...........and they call them Marines.

    Bless you SSgt. Chambers!

  • I can not see the screen due to tears in my eyes.. Touching

  • the discipline and attiude marines have sets them apart from anyother branch.....OOH-RAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • God Bless the USMC

  • Once A Marine, Always a Marine...we have lost so many and yet they still come back to honor the fallen even in spirit.

  • GOD BLESS THE MARINES!!

  • Semper Fi SSGT. I salute you SSGT Chambers. Every time I watch this video, it brings tears to eyes. God Bless all the troops, past, present and future!!! SEMPER FI brother and sister Marines!!

  • Semper Fi Marine

  • This Staff Sergeant does the Marine Corps, and our nation proud.

For all the trash and trivia that our society is consumed with, this young man shows that, indeed, America can still produce another generation of 'the few, the proud' - of men and women in uniform who see that there is not greater honor than in serving one's country.

    J. Richard Horne, former Marine - Semper Fi

  • Very Inspirational. There are still people with values in this country! Although the loudness of the others drown them out sometimes.

  • OohRah!

  • Semper Fi SSgt. You gave so much to protect us. I have nothing but the highest gratitude for you. OOH RAH

  • How could anyone watch this and not be choked with emotion? The real cost of our freedom so reverently displayed for our fallen warriors. God bless the USA and God bless our troops. May he keep our fallen brothers and sisters in his hand till we join them. Well done S/Sgt. Semper Fi

  • This is awesome, I am retired navy and this is one awesome marine.

  • Even though my dad was a Navy man, which gives my loyalty to the Navy...I can't go by this video with saying to this SSgt! SEMPER FI MARINE!! God bless.

  • one jack ass missed the like button

  • @PaintMaryconley Hmmm, now looks like TWO Jack Asses have missed the "like" button. Being the father of a combat wounded Marine I'll need to conduct some "training in manners" (or in this case appreciation of our warriors who fight for our freedom) to the two jack asses in question...

  • I marvel and respect that Marine. I am a disabled veteran and I also proudly work at the Medical Library of the Miami Veterans Hospital for about 28 years. I want to thank that Marine for the many hours he stood there. His dedication will never be forgotten. I truly love the internet sending out this special video to the entire world. I am proud to be part of helping those who served.

  • Thank you to all the Men and women who serve. Thank you SSgt Chambers. As a Navy veteran, I know how hard it is to hold a salute. Well done. I bet you were very sore the next day. I would give you a free massage any day!

  • To the one "Thumbs Down", are you Barack Obama? Regardless of who you are, all I can say is "shame on you"........

  • Well Done, SSGT Chambers!! Semper Fi!! May God Bless and Keep All of our

Armed Forces Members, Past, Present and Future!!!

Dedicated to SSgt Donald S. Wright 1919-2006

  • I don't think people understand just how taxing it was for him to hold that salute that long. Semper Fi SSgt.

  • As a former Marine, I know how hard it can be to hold a salute for a few minutes. This Marine deserves the respect of everyone he meets. No matter what your opinion of the war is, this video should either give you a new respect for the troops or solidify the deep respect that you already had.

    Oooh Rah SSgt.

  • Thank you SSgt Tim Chambers for your courage, service, and dedication. I found this blog post that has a very sincere statement from a marine. thisjobsforyou dot com/blog/149/voting-the-price-has-been-paid-by-many/

  • i used to work for that SSgt. Very good man VERY good man.

  • Man of Honor

  • Semper Fi. THAT is a Marine.

Not saying anyone else that went through BC isn't though,

Semper Fi to all in the Marine Corps currently serving.

His face is a face of a Marine proud of what his country does for him. Those bikers are true Patriots and that Marine respects them for it.

  • Amazing.

  • I went through half a box of tissues on this one. Rolling Thunder comes through Wytheville VA every year. God Bless America and our fighting men and women past and present!

  • Semper Fi,Marine !

  • What a moving experience. This is why we should be very proud American's. Have your tissues close by you.. Semper Fi. Very well done..Love and respect to all our Armed Forces.

  • Speechless........

  • SSgt Tim Chambers ...Thank you for showing respect to those who are veterans in all branches of the Armed services. You represent the best of our nation, those who are willing to serve their nation without thought of personal sacrifice. As a Marine Mom, I say well done solder .. a true showing of what Semper Fidelis is about!

  • Thank you for posting this...

  • Well done and God Bless you USMC S/Sgt Chambers. You are a credit to the USMC and your fellow veterans!

  • Marine, you are a credit to the Corps and our country. You are touching more of us old vets than you can imagine. I served in the late 60's and early 70's when being a troop was not cool, I reinlisted 16 years later to finish out a 26 year career in other theaters in OEF. I salute you SSG, Semper Fi. 1SG Travis

  • I tried to send you a video my husband and I (this is actually kvalle1 again on this Channel) recorded. Many of the pictures are ones we've taken on road trips, including some from our son's graduation from the Navy Bootcamp in Chicago. We sang this song on Sunday morning. God Bless ..Karen

  • This is such a honor to have seen..Thank you for Sharing this. And to the MARINE THAT WAS IN THIS VIDEO HOLDING THAT SALUTE ... BEAUTIFUL DONE MARINE. I speak on behave of my father a UNITED STATES MARINE . that served during the Korean war. THANK YOU. and my spelling is not correct but, SIMPERI. you are a credit to the Corp..

  • I read he held that salute 3 hours this year!

Try it sometime, it is difficult and after a while, painful.

    God Bless you Marine!

  • Thank You.

  • My friends father is in the Marines and he has deployed multiple times. I am lucky enough that neither of my parents have been deployed as they serve in the Army. Bless this soldier.

  • If this doesnt make you proud..nothing will. Semper Fi my brother!! Loved the Oooo-rah at the end. :-) Parris Island Graduate class of 77...took me 21 yrs to get it right. :-) 77-98 oooh-rah!!

  • It is men like this that reinforce to us what a wonderful country this is and that we have freedom but by the grace of God and ALL the men and women serving in our military now and past. Praise be to God and Praise be to all our soldiers!!!!

  • This Sgt is truley one of the good guys, he would make Dan Daily, Smedly Butler, and Chester Puller proud! It is so great to see what fine young men serve our "Great Nation". Semper Fi

  • 2:45 OOH-RAH!

  • Why does he look down?

  • @skittlesareyum48 probably either out of respect for the fallen, or the sun was in his eyes, but probably because of his fallen friends.

  • @KatpajnKaffe This event is call Rolling Thunder. Every year, thousands of bikes descend upon Washington DC to honor POW/MIA (Prisoner of War/ Missing in Action) and to keep the word alive that our fallen service members are not forgotten.

  • WOW!!! Being a verteran myself as well as a biker this really touches my heart!!! GOD BLESS THAT MARINE!!!!!!!!!!! AS A MATTER OF FACT GOD BLESS ALL OUR SERVICE MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kaptajnkaffe its a motorcycle ride to commemorate fallen soldiers.

    bless the fella.

  • so, what is this event; and why would the marine salute at that exact spot?

I understand that he is doing it, but why at that event?

  • Thank you, hdcanvas, for posting these moving videos; they bring tears to my eyes..... Even though I was born in Mexico City, as a US Citizen since 1967, I feel very proud to be an American.... God Bless America!!!!

  • "THE UNITED STATES MARINES, THE FEW, THE PROUD MARINES!" THIS BRAVE MARINE PROVES THAT THE MARINES ARE THE TOUGHEST, THE BRAVEST, AND THE ELITE!!! "LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!" GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

  • I am a retired Air Force veteran with 22 years of service. I have always held the U.S. Marines in high regard. They are the finest men and women our country has to offer, and I am glad they choose to serve.

  • OOOOHRahhh! My husband was in the Marine Corp, and I know how devoted they are to their Country and brothers in the service. God bless all our Service men and women! God bless this Ssgt! Semper Fi!!

  • WOW!! OOOOHRAHHHH

  • What a show of honor, pure love of our country, and the blessed fallen comrade to whom this Marine shows the greatest of respect for. God bless you Ssgt.

  • Semper Fi Marine

  • With tears in my eyes and pain in my heart. GOD BLESS YOU!!

  • God bless this Marine~ Lord, keep all our men and women safe who serve this great country. God bless the USA!

  • Excellent! I thank all of America's veterans who served and are serving now! I owe my freedom and liberty especially to you and to those veterans who gave the ultimate price. Words can not describe how I owe so much to so few. SSgt Chambers, I too thank you for what you are doing. You, sir, make me proud to be an American!! Thank you too to all the Rolling Thunder members!!

  • R.I.P dad he would of liked this video

  • If you look very carefully @ 3:05 His service stripes indicate at least nine years of service. Also, you'll see that this SSgt has a Purple Heart plus a device: he was wounded at least twice in combat. His Good Conduct medal also has a device. This is a good Marine who has served his country well and with honor.

  • @orovalleydude Thanks for pointing all that out, God Keep this and all of our Military Safe!

  • @orovalleydude

Sir, I say the following NOT to correct, but to inform. The SSgt in the video does NOT have a Purple Heart. If you are looking at the ribbon in the center, it is a Humanitarian Award. If it were a Purple Heart it would be (out of His ribbons) located at the top left. The "devises" you refer to are simply called "stars". Bronze, silver and gold- 2nd, 3rd and 4th awards. However, his good conduct medal does reflect the fact that he is an "outstanding" Marine! Semper Fidelis!

  • @EchoMike213

I also just wanted to add, I'm not sure how long the solder held his solute(not to take away from him) but the Marine held his solute for almost and incredible 3 hours., Try it yourself, next to impossible. His Tenacity and Zeal alone leads me to the conclusion. I would proudly fight along side of him in his foxhole. I find also important to say that, that piece of crap in the White House, during the National Anthem couldn't even hold his hand over his heart, care to compare?

  • @EchoMike213 Thanks for the info. He does not have the Purple Heart, I mistook the Navy Marine Commendation Medal for that. But, he does NOT have the Humanitarian Service Medal. And "device" is the correct term. There are currently 23 devices from "A devices," to "Wintered Over Devices." The top two medals have devices which you correctly called "award stars." He has the GWOT medals, on the bottom row, so he has served overseas. OVDude USMC 1966-71 RVN 1967-69

  • @orovalleydude

Sir, I stand corrected. The SSgt. does not have the humanitarian ward. It took me to bring out my old ribbons to realize this. Perhaps I should have done my homework. I also stand corrected on the devices. We simply refered to the "stars" as stars and all of the other attachments as "devices". I am humbled at your service record. Thank You! USMC 1982-94. Panama-Desert Shield-Desert Storm.

  • Much respect to this MARINE! We had a friend who was a Vietnam Vet, who was participating in Rolling Thunder back in 04 and a MARINE (not sure if it is the same MARINE) wore his dress blues in the extreme summer heat for hours in the position of attention. This man is proof that while some people will talk, others will act, selflessly and without hesitation. And to those who have answered the call, THANK YOU, you are NOT forgotten.

  • This SSgt. is one hell of a Marine. HE IS PROUD!!! OOHRAH Marine! Thank You and God bless you for what you have done for this country.

  • @ dianemhoge Your son is a wonderful example of what it means to be an American. You raised him well.

  • God Bless that Marine and all our troops!

  • Semper Fi Brother, Well Done...

  • This video left tears streaming down my face. What an amazing tribute. Thank you just seems so inadequate when it comes to showing gratitude for all that the members of the military (past, present & future) have sacrificed to keep us free. God Bless You All!!

  • It’s good to know that some of today’s youth is keeping our heritage alive! God bless all of our fallen comrades, maybe one day I'll bring myself to ride along.

  • Bad ass... that's all I can say.

  • Too bad Obama will never know pride in his country like the Marine in this video!

  • Watching this Marine takes my breath away. Thank you and God Bless you for your Service to our wonderful Country. My husband was also a Marine. You are a blessing to your God and Country.

  • @dianemhoge Your son's a wonderful & exemplary example of an American Marine & US citizen that lives committed to respecting our flag, our country & those that have been faithful in serving her! How VERY proud & honored you must be! HIS VIGIL IS PRAISEWORTHY!!!!! It's insulting & deplorable what some have written in their posts - they reflect their dismal ignorance by bashing those that have fought to keep our freedoms, theirs included. There are those that are so blind that they cannot see!

  • @CaroleBrent4him Thank You! I am very proud of my son and what he stands for... He has always put his all into what he believes in... He does this on his own accord out of respect for others... I would also like to thank everyone for their positive responses to this......and their service!

  • Our son's a Ranger in Afghanistan and this is one of the most moving things I've ever seen. Our military is the heart of America. God will bless and restore our great land.

  • Bless this Marine in blue. I understand tha he stood for hours holding his position and anyone who badmouths a marine in my presence or on the internet for doing what was right and he evidently felt deeply about deserves to be whipped into shape by said Marine. GOD BLESS YOU S/SGT. and thank you all for your service. a proud wife and mother of Marines. OOOOH RAH

  • I love what he says to himself at 2:45, "Don't cry!"

Tears are a sign on weakness and this hero is anything but. G-d bless him and everyone else that wears a military uniform. They have nothing but my utmost repsect!!

  • @W4BJM He is actually saying "ooh rah"

  • @W4BJM He doesn't say don't cry he is saying ooh rah

  • Doesn't need words.

  • This is the very definition, the living embodiment, of the word "HONOR"

I would consider it a deep and personal privilege to be able to return that man's salute.
