We have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 (1%) API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs/Injection and tank clean and rustfree!

If i were to build an replica ZL1 car, i would go for the Vette´ , as i'am sure it'll go faster with it's fiberglas body and Aluminium engine, top that with sidepipes, a black conv removeable hardtop, headers, tripower aircleaner and the ZL1 stripes available as option, red paint and black leather seats, yeah that's what i want. :)

I have an 1980 black C3 myself with a 500+ engine which I'm very proud of. You can find it in my videos. However I now know what my next goal is :) And ofcource I'm a 69 myself ;).
how do people compare chevelles and mustangs with these cars. c3s are the best looking american cars imo, they look much more agressive than a freakin nova or something. it looks like a race car, unlike other 'muscle cars' of the era. the trans ams come close, but these are the best.
notice at 13 seconds it makes that "kch-zzzz" noise... mine does that too after the engine stalls and i try and start it. Does anyone know what it is?
when the engine wont start, the starter will just keep spinning after the disengagement from the flywheel. thats absolutely normal for the old straight axle starters, you wont noticed that with modern low-geared starters. I got a '71 and it will do excatly the same.
