I feel sorry for Arshavin... Have the Arsenal fans who booed him forgot about his 4 goals match against Liverpool and all his contribution over the years? He may not have performed well recently, but he is still an Arsenal player and I'm sure he gives all his best on the pitch.
Spurs fan in peace here - I normally have no sympathy for Arsenal players, but I really felt for Arshavin there - I remember once at Spurs fans were booing Chris Armstrong and he went on to score two goals - They cheered, but he didn't celebrate - Can't blame him really! No one wants to see or hear 'fans' booing there own player
It was disappointing to see Ox come off playing such a great game but he had to because of the strain he was picking up. Id had booed as well to see an underperforming russian capt come on – but its also sad to see a lot of us so upset this season. Our "loyalty" is sometimes borderline abuse
i like arshavin - and he was brilliant for us when he first came - we wouldnt have finished in top 4 when we bought him that january - but - he HAS to go...he is washed out and lost his pace and he has not adapted his game to compensate

I'd have been crying hot tears of loneliness and shame.
I feel really sorry for Arshavin, he isn't a scapegoat. Arshavin wasn’t at fault for the second Man United goal. So he missed a tackle - at least he was back near the edge of the box, trying to close down Valencia - more than he’s done for much of the season. Was he brought on to keep United at bay, or to provide an attacking outlet? If Oxlade-Chamberlain or RvP or Gervinho had missed that tackle, would they be getting the level of criticism being thrown at Arshavin? I think not.
If it is anyones fault to arshavin its wenger, arshavin is an attacking midfielder not a winger. i feel sorry for him. Arsenal fans should be ashamed for themselves, they did the exact same thing to Eboue who in my opinion was great.

That was confirmed (in addition to other times) in the poor effort he made that gave up the second goal. Arshavin is the most skilled player on the pitch besides RVP, but we HARDLY ever see it b/c he just doesn't want it enough.
i must admit, i felt sick to the stomach when i saw this. I was ashamed of our fans. I would actually be grateful that arshavin hasn't put in a transfer request. Chamberlain was great, but to boo a player who's just come on is low.

Chamberlain was not injured 'fatigue had settled in' was just Wenger's excuse due to the fact that everyone booed him. It was a pre-planned substitution, meaning he was going to sub him anyway and wanted to stick with his plans. Which cost the game.

The problem was moving to the new stadium which has in turn made the board treat the club as a money making asset to stack revenue rather than a football club intent on winning competitions. Ever since we arrived at the emirates its been downhill. That and never truly replacing Viera.

@Itekimas Chamberlain was fine. they interviewed after the match and he did not mention that he felt an injury was coming on. he also looked like he was fine and had plenty of energy before he was taken off. the problem with wenger right now is there is only a plan A. if things dont go according to plan he cant adjust bc he has no backup plan.

@Wanzyish the thing about arshavin is that people don't see a desire in him. Rosicky doesn't get much play time but when he comes on, he works hard.
That was confirmed (in addition to other times) in the poor effort he made that gave up the second goal. Arshavin is the most skilled player on the pitch besides RVP, but we HARDLY ever see it b/c he just doesn't want it enough.

Chamberlain was not injured 'fatigue had settled in' was just Wenger's excuse due to the fact that everyone booed him. It was a pre-planned substitution, meaning he was going to sub him anyway and wanted to stick with his plans. Which cost the game.
