  • BRAVO !!!!!!!

  • Wow! The H.I.P., in our E minor, and on harpsichord sounds so much better than F minor on piano.

  • The orgasm begins at 1:14 dear lord so much power in that

  • I think the reason that no one has disliked this yet is because the people who are stupid enough to do so, have no frickin idea what a harpsichord is.

  • The allegro and presto shine with their strong musical expression, whereas the largo is something out of this world..

  • Bach ist der Vater der Kammermusik. Ausgezeichnete Arbeit!

  • UNA OBRA DEMASIADO ESPECTACULAR!!!!

larga vida al Metal y la musica Clasica!!

  • It will always remain my favorite amongst Bach's glorious harpsichord concertos, even if turned out to be originally for ocarina and strings ;-)

  • Magnificent!

  • Bach is the most amazing composer

  • Beautiful.

  • This is pretty much the classiest thing I've ever heard in my life.

  • Addtionally, as much we would loive to show off our virtuosity, there is a time and place for that (i.e in Brahms, Ravel, Rachmaninoff and the other comperaties) but work with the STYLE and PERIOD of the music.... need i say more!!!! EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!

Oh and trust i WILL be purchasing the recordings in matter of days!!!!!! GOD THIS IS GOOD!!!!!

  • These harpsichord recordings are of the HIGHEST STANDARD to date for Bach concerti!!!!! Might i add that i will be doing this piece and plan to this third movment at this tempo!!! it is aboslutely gorgeous!!!!. I this is exactly how i picturted the piece to be played with viviocity and CONTROL!!! and speeding away just because its the piano.

  • an outstanding performance of Trevor Pinnock and his English Concert

    love it

  • I love it! :)

  • what a killer drive!!!

  • Beautiful!

  • Unbelievable how advanced composers were back than musically... NOW it seems we are getting more primitive. Is there a connection with advanced science and deteriorating popular music ??? We seem to habe regressed musically !!!

  • Music has become more tied to culture over the last few hundred years. It would be hard to imagine this music appealing to the average guy in a club. ITS PRETTY SAD how music culture works :(

  • Maybe it has something to do with the fact , that this kind of music was NOT open for all people i.e. THe broader public but only to rich people and the aristocracy in general, who always claim to have "good musical taste" So the composers could afford to write intellectual challenging pieces, that would not nescesarily apeal to the mainstream masses. Today music is directed to the mos common denominator!!!

Sounds a bit "uppadie tight" but I think there is some thrueth in my observation.

  • 300 years ago when this was written, it would have appealed to the average guy in a club

  • It also depends on what kind of music... For example, the last century gave birth to Shostakovich, one of my personal favorites along with Bach, who was an absolute genius... But as far as pop music is concerned, I completely agree XD

  • The piano has nothing against Harpsichord.

  • Yeah, piano just isn't the same.

  • Beautiful!!! . but this version is not in F moll !!! why??

  • maybe the pitch changes from real to record- to movie.

  • baroque pitch.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, this version is in F but we hear like E moll because the pitch is A=415, the most normal tuner in barroque music.

  • @elaurean This is f moll, the baroque tuning would sound like things are half a step lower ( A = usually around 415Hz, unless French baroque tuning, which is usually done around A = 392 Hz)

  • @god4938 Could you direct me to a rendition that would have that particular tuning as Bach himself would have played it? Or is it not possible now? I say that because I know nothing of what you write but I understand that this piece as recorded isn't exactly right. Many thanks.

  • Who on hells have said that classical music listener were not fairplay ??? Orlandodefrias has a quite cool behaviour : when I was 14, my dentist used to play italian opera's discs, one of 19th century. The result is that today I can't here more than 30 seconds of any italian opera without feeling nervous.

  • lol

  • I listen to this one every time I get a chance to. it's the best

  • I heard this when I was 14 in my old dentist's office and fell in love with it. Unfortunately I couldn't really find out what it was (I was almost certain it was Bach though) so after a few days trying to figure it out, I gave up. Now, 10 years later, thanks to the beauty of things like iTunes and YouTube I finally have it. It sounds even better now. Thanks a lot for posting this.

  • el más grande de todos los tiempos

  • No! This isn't beautiful! This is more!

    This is Bach!

  • beautiful!

a favourite of mine. TY for posting this.

  • Wooh! I just love Trevor Pinnock's and the English Concert's perfomances. They're always so colourful, and Pinnock is a splendid harpsichordist. :)
