Gilmore straight up rules - I've never understood why his name rarely comes up in discussions I've had with others concerning the guitar greats - until, that is, I mention his name.
The fact that Pink Floyd is the ultimate sound in music...a special word needs to be said for your posting of these videos...yours are by far and away the very best..how in the world do you keep this quality up??? Amazing!!
I think overall I prefer the DSOT version to Pulse. The performance was tighter. I realise that the light show for Pulse was amazing, but there's something altogether more eery about the pig floating with the silhouette being cast.
I was lucky enough to this concert at Wembley Stadium. In answer to some of the comments...Yes this concert was OUTSTANDING on every level!!! GOOSEBUMPS!!!
When I was 15, I was a big Pink Floyd fan (and still is today and perhaps more than before) and my cousin showed me this concert and during One Of These Days, I was literally glued in front of the screen! So powerful and effective!
The first time I ever heard this song was a little buzzed and had two guys trying to synchronize it on 8TRACKS,,,different time but this is one of the great underground songs of all time. Dark Side of the Moon and the Wall will always be remembered as their masterpeices (and they should), but "Meddle" will always be my favorite
I was at the top of the arena ( out of my gourd : ) ) sitting next to a strange speaker that had no sound.....during this song it suddenly came to life and snarled " I'm gonna cut you into little pieces !" ......I jumped out of my skin!
@GilmourTrueHD Yes indeed...I was on the main floor...when the opening strains of "Shine On" started to begin the show, my friend and I just stared at each other in wide-eyed disbelief...
That concert was also my last acid trip...made the puppets during "Another Brick" pretty damn menacing! :-D
@BoBo0807 Funny, my last acid trip was at a concert. The line up, UFO Blue Oyster Cult and ZZ Top headlining. ZZ Top had a car accident on the way so the concert admin offered everybody rain checks or they could stay and Blue Oyster Cult would fill in the time. Nobody left, it was an awesome concert. It was at the Golden Hall in San Diego, I saw PF there for Dark Side of the Moon, they finished with Echoes as the encore...sold me on PF forever.
@GilmourTrueHD Oh yeah, at the start of the concert UFO was throwing Frisbees into the audience, I remember tripping on the one that hit me in the forehead and bounced into the lap of the girl in front me...I saw trails and stars at the same time...lol
@GilmourTrueHD i don't know if you're interested in ...i've seen this show at Cava dei Tirreni (salerno-campania-italia)it has been one of the hardest i've never seen
@marcovittozziii I'm always interested, I've seen the bootleg dvd online but not for sale, not sure of it's quality? I have live at the Omni as well but only uploaded a few tracks that weren't covered on DSoT because of poor quality.

@zac030101 I am quite confident this is a lap steel guitar. He would have no use of pedal steel guitar while playing only a melody.
