i think, AP is great and good replacement for SP. Arnel is a real deal. I think, there s a market for mix races band and that s the vision of journey. #5 billboard and sold out arenas already. JSS was a MUCH better lead for Journey than AP. Stevie Augeri also was MUCH better than AP.
Schon & Cain have reps as egocentric pricks & intolerant homophobes. There was legendary tension among members of Journey from the beginning.
When Steve Perry left the group, Neal began a quest for a SP clone.
Augeri & JSS were excellent choices, though neither emulated SP to a T. Each had a good voice, charisma, personality & audience connection. Each also had difficulties with Schon & Cain.
Arnel absolutely sucks, unless you enjoy someone singing karoke, SP, and JSS are the only 2 i will listen too, they are the only ones who put their soul into the music

This isn't a tribute band! That's Neal Schon on guitar, Ross Valarie on bass, Jonathan Caine on Keys, and I believe Dean Castronovo on drums who has been in the band for some time. Also, the audio on this is horrible, I can't even hear the singer most of the time. I'll admit, Steve Perry is great, but I can't hear this guy to be able to give an opinion.
I'll give the new guy credit, but Perry is still the best. I don't care where he is now or why he never got the surgery so he could return. Steve Perry made these songs great and every one else is just the runner up.

All along I wondered why JS was replaced, and now I get it. He's a good singer alright but he couldn't bring that SP/Journey flavor, meaning it didn't fit! If I was in this concert I probably would feel very, very disappointed. Compare this to Vina del Mar concert a week ago with AP, man, that was full of energy and the place was really ROCKIN' and you could feel that by looking at the vids! Sorry if I offend anyone... i think, AP is great and good replacement for SP. Arnel is a real deal. I think, there s a market for mix races band and that s the vision of journey. #5 billboard and sold out arenas already. I would call myself a journey fan rather than perry fan. I did not buy any solo cd's of perry. I did not know what he's been up to since he left. Give it to AP, he s livin an american dream and beside the true journey fans r proud of AP like me.

JSS was a MUCH better lead for Journey than AP. Stevie Augeri also was MUCH better than AP.
Schon & Cain have reps as egocentric pricks & intolerant homophobes. There was legendary tension among members of Journey from the beginning.
When Steve Perry left the group, Neal began a quest for a SP clone.
Augeri & JSS were excellent choices, though neither emulated SP to a T. Each had a good voice, charisma, personality & audience connection. Each also had difficulties with Schon & Cain.

This isn't a tribute band! That's Neal Schon on guitar, Ross Valarie on bass, Jonathan Caine on Keys, and I believe Dean Castronovo on drums who has been in the band for some time. Also, the audio on this is horrible, I can't even hear the singer most of the time. I'll admit, Steve Perry is great, but I can't hear this guy to be able to give an opinion.

I'll give the new guy credit, but Perry is still the best. I don't care where he is now or why he never got the surgery so he could return. Steve Perry made these songs great and every one else is just the runner up.

All along I wondered why JS was replaced, and now I get it. He's a good singer alright but he couldn't bring that SP/Journey flavor, meaning it didn't fit! If I was in this concert I probably would feel very, very disappointed. Compare this to Vina del Mar concert a week ago with AP, man, that was full of energy and the place was really ROCKIN' and you could feel that by looking at the vids! Sorry if I offend anyone... I'm just keeping it real man, just keeping it real. Peace!
