  • It shows elements that are in the hellraiser movies too. The pin, the light that raises. The elements of the box. The making of the drawings are the most beautiful and plastic movements in my opinion. It doesn't seem to have a story in the classical sense, but a test of images and how it appears on screen. The birds caged and the draw in pieces seems to show the impossibility of the total expression of the intentions. And since it is not a dominated technich, but a test, a real feeling is there.

  • clearly the nails are an interesting precursor to pin head

  • you coudl just edit the film and reverse the negative.

  • Dammit, surely this can't be the original soundtrack for this film. If it is, the music heard when this was on Exposure was way better.

  • Wish there was more of it posted here. I never got to see the ending. I just remember a really long scene of a guy with a boner spinning around, and those nails being shown casting shadows over and over again.

  • You're right about "The Forbidden" the short story from The Books of Blood. This idea is more like a genesis for The Hellbound Heart and the Hellraiser movies. What do you think?

  • @RPMir I thought that this film was Barker's take on the Faust legend were a man sells his soul to the devil in exchange for knowledge

  • awesome!

  • the 4 disc hellraiser boxset has this and salome. well worth buying

  • would be nice if the rest of the movie was posted. Hard to find this one 36 min total i believe. it's the short story the movie Candyman was based on.

  • hey man no offence but what dose this have to do with the candyman i really cant find any info other than sites saying candyman was based off the forbidden

  • This film was a retelling of Faust.

The only resemblance to Candyman comes from it's title which was also used for the short story Candyman was based on. That's about it really.

  • I have both Salome and Forbidden, along with commentary, on my computer. The people involved with both films talk about their adventure, and who did what in each movie. This includes the man who played Hellraiser, he starred in this one I believe.. Youtube might not allow the full version, as it has a lot of nudity and grotesque imagery after what you see here.. Lots of footage of full on erections. I don't know if you've seen it, but yeah, it's great, disturbing, and raw.

  • WOW!! i'm glad to hear such remark from a person who had seen the full versions of both film...i'm dying to see what would happen after this, but unlucky we only got the short versions on Youtube here!!T___________T

    *cries*
