i think that the princesses that count are the 6 from the classic walt disney films. So the disney princesses to me are Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Jasmin and Aurora. There may be new princesses now, but for me, these 6 are the true princesses.

Out of all the princesses, Aurora is my favourite, she is strong willed, cares about evrything and stands up for what she believes in. :D

Actually, Shang's father was the Emperor's relative. In those days in the old dynasty only royalty could run the army. And Mulan was made hero of Chona but she asked if she could stay with Shang at the Imperial palace. When the Emperor dies Shang will take his place as Emperor which would make him a prince and Mulan a...well...princess.

There are actually only six Princesses in the Disney Princess Collection. Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine. There is other royalty in the Disney movies but for the Disney Princess Collection, they are the only ones.

While A chief is not technically loyalty, it is a valid comparison, which would make Pocahontas the only real and never recognized princess at the multitude of Disney locations. I do agree that Mulan was not a princess, she was a heroine. I have taught my daughters to dream like a princess but to act like a heroine. Mulan is a strong role model for our young women today as well as Giselle from Enchanted who saved her "Prince" instead of the other way around.

Unlike Mulan who is not a princess whatsoever.
