  • Hmmmm that beep is quite funny im all getting into the music and the beep ruined everything.....

  • Most people don't understand the piece was originally written with beeps in it. Sorta reminds me of my last heart attack.

  • It sounds great but its sooooo slow

  • Too slow.

  • not too easy on the trumpet.

  • As much as I love this peice, this recording is far too low in energy in some parts for my taste. For example, I would have told my percussion to go ahead and break the bass drum head, they make more everyday. I understand march's go at march tempo, but I felt I could have march to a funeral with how boring this recording was.

  • This was ripped from HalLeonard. Their edition has the low woodwinds added in the scalar tessitura at 1:22 - 1:40 (wrong notes included) HEHE

  • somebody ripped files from j.w. pepper...

    euphoniums rule!

  • Omg, i love thys peice. I hope my band sounds lyk thys :)

  • this is a really easy song to play. but my fav parts would hav to b the 2nd and 3rd songs

  • ...my MIDDLE school band played this like UNBELIEVABLY well...as in better then a high school band...

  • hearing the bass drum hit at the end of Chaccone is so amazing. Im glad i sit in the back to hear it :)

  • I swear! I thought that beeping was coming from my room somewhere!

  • Beautiful........ We played this in highschool... Love it

  • i bet the conductor was up there whispering:

*beep* yeah......you guys *beep* rock.......i just *beep* in my pants.....holy *beep* you guys are amazing.......that's what i'm *beep* talking about.......

  • The beeping is really the conductor swearing because the music sounds really good

  • The beeps are there because the audio file is a preview ripped from a sheet music site. They are supposed to dissuade music pirates from enjoying the song without paying for the actual music.

  • third movement ftw :)

  • The beeps were encoded in this file, I had nothing to do with it. So deal with it, it's not going to go away,

  • this song is amazing!!!! <3

    why does it keep beeping??

  • Why does it keep beeping?

  • i got to conduct this when i was a sophomore =D

  • wtf is with the bleeps in the middle of march?? lol

  • @Deltari09 like..seriously laughing out loud at the moment xD

  • we r playing this for our concert in Middle School, I GOT A SOLO

  • our symphonic band played this in middle school

  • Yes and it was greatt(:

  • Yeah my school symphonic band plays this, all 3 movements. I like this whole piece actually, it's one of my favorite symphonic band selections

  • Yeah we played this in high school

  • I lovee this song(:

we played this in junior high

straight 1s for all 3 movements.

    It sounded so beutiful(:

  • you played this when you were in 7th or 8th grade?!

  • yea, i love the inversion. and

@Zynkthe1st: i have to disagree Low Brass FTW.

and since tenors have to sound like us they can come along FTW.

  • 2:44, Inverted harmony is amazing when used in context of a piece like this. Take the original melody of the piece; same notes and intervals. Now flip them upside-down. It makes for amazing musical dissonance as well as creating segway to a key change...

@remotecontrolp51: I have to disagree, oboe ftw! ;)

  • The piece is called First Suite for Military Band in Eb(flat). What is with the beeping every 15 seconds? it kind of ruins the beautiful sound that this amazing piece has.

  • Tenor sax RULES

  • Looks like all the sources agree on 1909 as a date of composition. :)

  • We are playing this for festival now...I love it !

  • I just played this is my community band. I love it so.

  • I have been helping out with my old primary school as they are going on tour soon. One of the peices they are playing is the March from First Suite in Eflat. However, they play it faster then this. Great song

  • My band just played this for concert. Amazingly cool piece. Holst, man!!

    Genious!

  • omg! oboe solo

so nice! i play th oboe until like no breathe:/
