oye amigo yo tengo la misma, y la mia tambein hace muchos ruidos diferentes hace uno constantemente en e disco duri que suena como una rana o un (cruk) o algo asi
My friend that is a crappy fan or maybe ur hard drive is dying but i dont know much about macs but if its the fan it wont last much longer and it will burnn
i had this same problem only because i accidentally hit the right side of my mac with my remote (not too hard) and it started making that noise.. i kinda tapped the side of my mac to make it stop and it did but every time i start it up it makes a weird noise now
The fan is there. Something could have made its way through there or you had no luck with the fan itself (bad assembly). Bring it to the store if cleaning did not remove the noise.
CPU cooling is very important. If you don't repair the cooling problem, you'll have to replace the CPU and possibly other parts (in a laptop).
Everyone... it's just the HDD spinning... there's no solution unless you have a 7400 rpm hd try downgrading to a 5200 rpm hd. It might be a bit slower on transfering files and etc. But it will be a lot less noisy!
@ Everyone - This problem actually went away by itself a month after I made this video. I opened up the case to see if there was something wrong with the fan before then, and there was nothing i could see from just the looks of things. It seemed to change pitches when I would move the laptop around, perhaps a sign that it's the bearings in the fan itself. About 2 months ago now (in may) this problem has come back! except this time it's more of a gradual, slow tick. Still don't know the solution!
@V21W If you just bought it, the solution would be to get it repaired under warranty while you still can. Stop wasting time and do it now before your warranty runs out. Good luck!
Mine does this too except it's the lower left side. I have a white macbook. Any luck with it? I took mine in to Apple, left if with them for two days and they claimed they didn't hear anything....
@nikiphoto7 Then this is coming from the hard drive. I have the same problem. Nothing to seriously worry about. I noticed if I pushed that left part down to the desk, the sound would stop.
It's strange because HDD normally work in any position or angle.
YOU CAN FIX THIS. I had the EXACT same problem, if it's out of warranty, open up the top case and clean the fan. There's probably just a little dust nestled in near the center of the bearings causing spindles to tilt off balance.
Mine made a clicking sound when I was carrying it so I opened it up and found out that the fan had NO screws holding it in place!! Someone forgot to put them in during assembly it seems...
Dude mine made popping noises when I had my hands on the palm rests and when I opened and closed the lid, I returned it because it happened too many times and in only a month and a half of owning it, returned it last week
This is what I'm talking about. Everytime people do reviews and buyers look into a laptop, NO ONE asks or talks about the fan noise or heat issues until this happens. They all ask questionis like "Will this run my games," "What resolution is the webcam," or "How loud is the speaker"?
It's sounds like theres something wrong with your fan
