Maya 2010 for the 3D (using ramp shading and toon outline) and After Effects CS4 for the output render.

cool, is Maya any easier than 3ds Max?
I would say Maya is much more powerful, and can do most operations with a lot more ease. There are, however, a very few things that Max makes easier.
