@smallbigdumplin Hi, yes it is much more difficult to control a 6 ch heli than a 4 ch. I would recomand to try it in a sim first. But hey, you can also try it with a training gear like in this video. I could fly the CX2 4 ch heli very well at this moment but was not able to fly this 6 ch Blade 400. A strange experience.
@captfrankheli thnks for the reply :) i tried a 6ch on a simulator and was lucky i didnt go in an buy one because it would have cost me alot of money lol. its totaly different to a 4ch heli ,it kept heading for the floor lol :P
@smallbigdumplin You're always welcome. Probably you should try out a real 6 ch heli after a little practice with the sim. You would love it. It is really a lot of big fun!
Hi captfrankheli. Nice flying sir! Specially for a first one! Hope that you won't crash it too much with the next. I got myself 4 helis. One CX2, a mSR, the new SR, and a B400, all from E-Flite of course... And I've crashed them all... And fixed them all... And I'm still flying them all... I'm I rich? Not any more... ;) But what the... I am addicted now. Keep on flying Dude! See you in your next vid!
@frankygoestocanada Hi frankygoestocanada! Thank you for your nice comment. Oh yes, I have also many helicopters. The Blade CX2, the MCX, the MSR, one Blade 400 and one T-Rex 500. This video is more than two years old. It shows my first hover test with my Blade 400. You are welcome to watch many many newer videos in my chanel. Thank you very much!
If your the raw beginner really suggest the training gear, I elected a form of Rad method, soon as it goes astray drop her and cut the power, takes discipline tho, my Pro 2 without training gear, nipped one set blades outdoors careless, in garage no crashes todate, they fly better w/out trainers but extreme caution..my 400 is on the way, hardly wait...is this fun or what, hi hi...BEST
TRAINING GEAR CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE... trust me i know .. i havent crashed yet i did training gear for 2 flights and almost made the parts buyer award .. lol the ones i have now are to small so im gonna get some bigger ones.. and a luminum case .. foam is breaking in the box.. lol
so true i have a trex 450 and i landed and i think when i was going to take off again the traing gear got stuck in ground and tiped over and srewed up my new trex 450 se v2 blades broke with the tail and back blades and flyrob bent and the stbilizer fine on the boom is gone! so should be about 45$ to fix but it flew realy nice not like the one in this video it could fly it self it was so good but crashed in grass one word on addvise traingin gear is good but stay on the sement or gym
Do you know how hard it is for beginners to land without training gear? Thats the hardest part. Keep the training gear Frank, until you are confident enough to take them off. They have saved me about 40 crashes lol.
Oh yes, you are so right. I used my training gear for the first 20 flights and this saved me a lot of crashes. Now I fly since almost 8months without training gear. I like to fly around outside on a field. You can see it in my newer videos.
and if you take off the training gear the helis are much more stable and fly better. the 400 has folding blades so if something happins cut the power, I had a cp and one I took the gear off flights improved durasticaly
I've been flying the Blade CX2 for about a year now, and pretty confident. In your opinion, would it be premature to get one of these monsters? They look and sound awesome! Twitchy too.
by all means get one, i flown the cx2 for a week and bought a blade 400, best move i ever made, you just have to slow the head speed way down and it flys great. the fast head speed is scary at first.
Hi, I am flying coax helis since summer 2007 and I am still flying very often with my CX2. I love this great little heli. But I thnik you should buy the Blade 400. It is a pure thrill to fly with it. The sound, the energy, everything. When you have the Blade 400 you will fly the CX2 for your relaxing. It is much fun.
deffinatly get the blade 400, i never flew a heli in my life, just on simulators, (but i was to the point of flying backwards inverted and funnels and stuff) but anyway the blade 400 was my first heli..... man if you could have seen the smiles on my face. this heli is a great way to spend you money AND YOU WILL GET EVERY PENNY OF IT. however i had the spektrum dx-7 already and i got the blade 400 pnp (plug and play) from horizon hobby, this cut down on alot of the cost, GOOD LUCK!
Looks good captain, I always get an adrenaline rush when I input the wrong stick movements myself. I don't know why I put myself throuh high concentration & nervousness. It's addicting...
Hi, Thank you very much. In this moment I'm making a hover test in our small livingroom. I have 2,5 x 3 m free area. I think I must bee crazy. This adrenaline pure but I have to tune the tail rotor and can not await.
Great job. Congrats. Also, you will find it easier to hover at Eye level out of ground effect, as this heli pushes lots of air. See my Blade video also, if you desire. 5 stars for making the "plunge" into 3d helis.
Very good glad to see you got one Gets the Heart a thumping don't it Good Job I hope to have some new video of mine up soon enjoyed the video as always
