Apparently, there was a section of HR875 that wasn't made entirely clear, and the Libertarian movement picked up on it, and started a big smear campaign against her.

The FDA has recently stated that US citizens have no inherient right to access any particular food for themselves or their children. Of course, they do not have the authority to decide what rights we do and do not have. Even if I could take their job of 'making food safe' seriously, it is a long way from regulating clean food processing facilities and the like to dictating what food we can - and cannot -have access to.

I used to live in a third world country, and there was a very important rule about boiling the water and milk that we consumed. Otherwise we were at risk of death from some pretty nasty bacteria. @FRApp44300 There is always the possibility that a stray pathogen might infect/ breed in consumer products, that is why precaution is taken to ensure that the products are sterilized in order to prevent contamination. If you read the history of industrialization and pasteurization you will find that allot of people used to get really sick back then and died because of contaminated products until safety measures were enforced.

We use only heirloom seeds but we noticed they arte getting more difficult to find. Last year we had to send away for them. One batch from Canada and another from Italy. Whatever it takes, get some hierloom seeds, you'll notice the difference in the taste, especially tomatoes.

I've talked to my friends, adults and kids, and it doesn't make sense to any of them. Historically the more food - the more babies - not the other way around even before contraception. Of course, they do not have the authority to decide what rights we do and do not have. Even if I could take their job of 'making food safe' seriously, it is a long way from regulating clean food processing facilities and the like to dictating what food we can - and cannot -have access to.

just fyi re unpasteurized milk. It is ALREADY illegal in MANY states like PA and NC for example. NC even tried to put blue dye into the "for pet use only" milk, which is the only way unpasteurized milk is available legally in NC. Otherwise we have to drive o/o state to buy it to drink for ourselves.

Why does humans always think that they can do better then nature. Nature and domestic plants was the process of thousands of years, but this Genshit is only around 50 years even less. You don't mess with live basics.

@RoadlessPath Because nature sometimes throws things like pathogenic bacteria and viruses at your mouth when you eat contaminated unpasteurized foods, that's why.
I used to live in a third world country, and there was a very important rule about boiling the water and milk that we consumed. Otherwise we were at risk of death from some pretty nasty bacteria. BTW, I think that's why Louis Pasteur is remembered so fondly as one of the greatest benefactors to humanity.

ok.. but Milk today is not dangerous.. i drank milk straight out of a cow in France and im fine.. i drink milk all the time and never had a problem.. we dont live in a 3rd world country and this law is just another joke to help this New World Order crap.. wake up!! its just the big corporations that want to take out the small businesses and take control of everything and since they work closely with the government god knows what they are up to!!

@FRApp44300 There is always the possibility that a stray pathogen might infect/ breed in consumer products, that is why precaution is taken to ensure that the products are sterilized in order to prevent contamination. If you read the history of industrialization and pasteurization you will find that allot of people used to get really sick back then and died because of contaminated products until safety measures were enforced.

i understand but i mean how many cases do we hear today of pathogen related deaths or major sickenings? i personally have never even heard one since i first came to the US. The US sterilizes their dairy products like 75% more than any other dairy French products.. which of course take a lot of taste away lol but i mean French people don't even have problem with their unsterilized cheese or organic milk.. so why should we go crazy over an unexisting case??! there is something bigger to look at

We use only heirloom seeds but we noticed they arte getting more difficult to find. Last year we had to send away for them. One batch from Canada and another from Italy. Whatever it takes, get some hierloom seeds, you'll notice the difference in the taste, especially tomatoes.

The real threat right now is S.510, the FDA Modernization Act. The two bills mentioned in this video, HR 875 and S 425, never made it out of committee. But S 510 does pose a threat and the Senate is expected to vote on it early next year.
Please call your Senators today and urge them to exempt small farms & food processors from S.510, to protect both the farmers and the consumers who want access to local foods.

WHAT? Okay, so I'm 14. So maybe I don't know everything in the world. I have, however, done some research on this and it makes no sense. I've talked to my friends, adults and kids, and it doesn't make sense to any of them. It's simply another way to put a few people in power of a ton of money, while leaving normal people with less money.
