@kj293 Actually dude the reason why it says Red Alert 3 is because this was in the Beta Version when people got to play the game prior to it's official release. But yes it's still the original Grinder from Red Alert 2 :)

i wish they kept some great aspects of the game, and didnt try too hard, cuz in the game every damn unit got a special ability, that makes the game complicated and too unpredictable, besides that, theres not enough allied and soviet missions, they should only make 4 missions for empire of the rising sun and 10 missions for the allies and soviets, or more... short game, i dont wanna play it again, and it's nothing compared to its prequels.. and ra3 tanya blows, in game too. shes weaker...

I actually liked that each unit has a second "mode" mostly cuz it forces you to use all available forces you have to counter those things. And isnt making the game unpredictable is what makes the game a strategy game? A good strategy game when it comes to unpredictability is Sins of a Solar Empire( I recommend for hardcore RTS gamers). And why the hate for the Empire? I didnt find them too bad...tho i played wit soviet mostly...and yes i kinda hate that a lvl 3 tanya can get owned by a scoutrush

Hahaha! Too unpredictable? In Dawn of War 2 an Obliterator had a close combat attack, a flamer, a machine gun, a plasma gun and a laser cannon! That's 5 weapons. The more abilites and weapons, the better. I don't want paper-rock-scissors.

yea dawn o war is pretty awesome, I like the fact that you have to hold specific spots in the map in order to get the upper hand, not just rush the base of the opponent. yep, not very good at it but i just started so hehe

maybe so.. but some of them are just overkill, like the cryocopter's shrinking beam.. and they wrecked the apocalypse tank by giving it no anti air, the magnetic harpoon is good but still, wrecked it.. tanya shouldnt need a time belt blah blah blah it could go on for ages, point is its not like its prequels, though it should have been, and its just too crazy for me, i still play it but dont enjoy it as much as the first 2 frankly.

easy, its a damn riot police, they'd be totally useless on the battlefield even with the shields.. it woulda been good as a support unit but the allied side should at least have a real soldier with an effective automatic weapon as mainstream infantry... this game makes no sense, at least the previous 2 had plenty of interesting real units in them, such as the GI form red alert 2.. the fact that we use shotgun troopers as mainstream infantry in the game is ridiculous...

Since then did we use inffantry as our main attack squad? if I remember it correctly, I ALWAYS used tanks, I hardly even trained GI's in RA2 for attacks, and a helmet with a bulletproof visor is used frecently in military operations, it's better than having your face naked, but apperently, you arent a "real" american soldier if you are afraid of getting shot in the face....

Seriously think about what you are writting, RA has never been, and never WILL be a mirrior to the world we have today.

of course helmets with visors are used, im not talking about that, and when i say mainstream infantry i dont mean the preferred assault unit, i mean the main infantry unit every1 trains, no soldier goes on a battlefield armed with only a shotgun, he'd immediately be decimated, and the shield would slow them down, the had GI's in ra2 with automatic weapons, and in ra1 they had rifle men, so i dont get why they put a shotgun trooper as the main infantry unit... soviets still got AK's...

Well the tactic of the Peacekeeper is to use the shield to go up nice and close and then shoot the enemies bollocks off, well I know a game can't make EVERYONE happy, but I got one question, the part that is the most important in any game.

this is my personal opinion which should not effect anybody that thinks differently from me, but i believe lack of realism takes fun out of a game, i understand that red alert always had soem wacky things in it, but i enjoyed it more back in the day because the older ones seemed to still have a war-like atmosphere, and also i think having a lot of second abilities takes away form the fun of the game, mostly because it loses its authenticity. thats one of the many reasons i dont like this game.

Well, everyone has the right to think differently, still, I like the second abbilites, it opens for more deeper tactics, not to mention the full co-commander system.

Still, if there is any game that I think strayed away from the C&C formula the most, it would be C&C Renegade, as I mostly play C&C to be a CommandER, and not a ComandO, Renegade did have it's moments though.

thats my point, lol i hate when they do that, they should make the game as perfect as possible b4 release.. otherwise it will be a disappointment to most.. i dont like the empire too much their building style sucks balls, stupid cores.. they could get blown up before u build the actual structure, they shouldnt have given the empire 9 missions.. the scrin in tiberium wars got less missions than GDI and NOD i was hoping it would be the same in this game, oh well.
