  • I am also a car salesman and I tell you what, this guy is douche who probably was a terrible salesman, what manufacturers need to is pure pricing like Scion, there is no negotiating the price, I mean would you walk into Wal-mart and say hey this flat screen is to much I will give you 100 bucks less? No, you would'nt because Wal-Mart can't and won't!! And everyone has to make money, if we gave away every car then there would'nt be a service department, and you would'nt get taken car of!!!

  • This is super gay. I am a salesman, the consumer trys to get the best price and the salesman trys to get their best price. Very simple, some dealerships are shady like the one this douche went to, alot aren't. Everyone has to make a living and considering all operating costs involved the amount of markup is very acceptable. A grand or two. Shit costs money and customers act like they get ripped off even when you make none. Buyers lie more than salesman in most all cases

  • She is interrupting a bit much...

  • Forcing dealers to accept 100 dollar profits on deals has no advantage to dealers other than what factories can impose on dealers who don't sell vehicles in this way. This practice is purley factory imposed and forces dealers to act in a manner which is morally wrong and/or illegal. Factories know this but keep deniability. What dealer or salesman would actually prefer to resort to deceit rather than be able to make a decent living otherwise? Look at the real culprits, vehicle manufacturers.

  • How about making Factory to dealer incentives or pressure to sell more vehicles with economic advantages or penalties illegal for factories to engage in. Also do the same for certain allocation differences between dealers due to volume, such as, unfair distribution of prime merchandise or even offering certain dealers only sub prime inventory with regards to colors, equipment groups or in some cases, offering certain dealers only stale old distributor stock. Factories put the dirty in dealer.

  • I WANT TO PORK THE REPORTER!!

  • This guy is a weiner.

  • So it comes out. This guy is from Edmonds.com and here he is scaring consumers so that they go to their website and buy the car after they do research there. I'm all for educated consumers, they actually make my job easier, but scaring people this way is immoral and unethical. The meeting on Friday he was talking about is a meeting every dealer has. We talk about how other dealers are doing, the new incentive programs and what we need to do to be successful over the next weekend. And yes, the m

  • ok I am done any questions let me know.

  • If your local dealers is offering you a fair deal and another dealer that is far is offering a bit less give the business to your local dealer convenience pays.

  • Also shopping on the internet does help understand what the pricing is but it really helps you get in contact with a dealer you feel comfortable with and it should be your local dealer. You should not buy a car over the internet. Go into the dealeship meet your salesman and go to the dealership once you shopped over the internet and understand what you want and you are ready to buy. Having a relationship with a reputable dealer locally goes a long way for you. Convenience is very important.

  • Customers should just pay the sticker price then we also wont have this problem. The crazy thing is customers want dealers to sell them a car at invoice when that is what they pay for the car. Do you actually think a business can last buy selling cars at their cost. I always want someone to make money when I buy something so If I ever need somenthing they will be there for you with great customer service but if they dont make money they will not call you back.

  • This allows the salesman to have more respect and also allows them to make more money for themselves to help buy a house and take care of their family. Having a finance manager or managers costs close to a million year. Just need 2 salesmanagers and thats it. No finance managers. Toyota and honda type dealers need to adapt ASAP. If you go to a Mercedes dealer or some BMW dealers you will see the saleman are well dressed and professional and knowledgeable and confident. You will fee more at ease

  • The salesman should be able to give pricing and know everything. Only get sales manager involved if they need their assistance for something or to help make a sale. Once the sale is the salesman should submit the application and prepare all the paperwork so wihen the customer comes in the customer does not wait and goes to the salesman who is ready with the paperwork and the car is ready as well. A win win for both.

  • Toyota and honda type dealers are the ones that ruined our reputation. You have salesman that dress and look like shit. You have them running back and forth to the sales desk to get numbers and then after they make a sale you then have them run to the finance manager who then wants to make money mean while the customer is waiting for hours to see this guy who tries to bang them in the ass. I have a solution. Fire all finance managers and have the salesman do it all. It will help tremendously.

  • Dealerships have the right to make money and customers have the right to get a good deal. Meet in th middle and you both be fine. Customers now a days get to greedy in negotiating having a salesman do so much work test drive, go over the vehicle, and help them understaind pricing. The salesman would give you a great deal where the dealer is making pennies and still the customer goes shopping. So disrespecful. No consideration.

  • This is the dumbest video I've ever seen. Just tell them what you want, be respectful to them and if they aren't respectful to you... Leave. It is really that easy! They need your business just as much as you want a new car. Make your experience a win win!

  • Gosh, if the consumer thinks it's too much, they don't have to pay it. What's all the whining about?

  • @adulamunda the seller would rather sell lower than lose the sale. that's where negotiation comes in.

  • worked for a chevy dealership in az. we were told to do the exact thing.

  • Mentally prepared? As a salesman let me give you the answer,

  • Ohhhhh ! What a pussy! Why don't you go undercover in a white house briefing? Than you might get a taste of the real world. Grow up! Do you go to a grocery store and negotiate on your corn price or the pack of gum you put in your cart.

  • Good stuff everyone should heed! hey dellaseeg - your puny little dick
