I did this tweny years ago with a five gallon glass jug that distilled water comes in. I used booze for the fuel. About one shot for a run of a few seconds. No cap or lid the neck of the bottle is enough. It scared the hell out of us. Did it many times.

The hole is about 15mm (1/2 inch).
The fuel used was ethanol - but meths should work also.
