@ShiningWolf1992 Well at motion picture the C64 wins. But when it comes to still images, the NES does a lot more. I'm not sure when it comes to sound...The C64 channels can produce different waveforms (square, triangle, saw, noise) but there are only 3 channels where the NES has 5 channels but with set waveforms (2 squares, 1 triangle, 1 noise, 1 PCM)
Nice idea, but only possible to watch with a lot of extra-hardware. So it's not very impressive. Would be cool if it's played on a "normal" c64. The Song is better than the original ;)
@16mmDJ The SID had a volume register that was able to play 16 different levels of volume ie. that makes 4 bit. So with tricky coding you had a nice 4 bit D/A converter there - enough to play digital music. Not HiFi, but still impressive for a 1 MHz machine, huh?
You need a MMC Replay to be able to play back videos on the C64. This device has a slot for SD-cards where you can store the video on. The C64 loads the video from the SD-Card picture by picture. Of course it would not be possible to get an video with sound in 64KB (1 Minute needs around 5MB)
