@pikachuhatyu I don't think so, they leave for the States to keep them shine even more, and keep their shinning stars last longer. Imagine how mess and crowed up of Idols in Korea now? Tons of Girls and Boy Bands are debuting everyday. Will it be OK if they stay in Korea and could make a huge different impact like they do in the US. So far as I know, WGs is the most popular Korea Girl band in the state. :)

@anelvie i personally think that groups who become excessively famous in Korea become tempted to go "international" --- But it's a matter of option between staying and maintaining their fame in Korea OR trying their luck in other countries, but get almost forgotten in their native land. But I think SNSD knows that doing the latter will harm their fame in their native land, and so they handled well their fame in Korea by staying a bit longer, then they went to Japan.
