  • @Fr33k74 What are you talking about?

  • This guys real praise the Lord!

  • Awesome testimony. Only Jesus Christ can heal and give peace to people that were hurt and abused like Pettidee was.

  • Hey heard the guys music, and seeing the interview on top of it, its good. The Bible talks about judging a thing by its fruit. Is the message conveyed good? Is it praiseworthy? Does it promote a good report? I think it does because he is reaching to people through his music, meeting them where they are just like Christ did. So it is clearly in line with what Jesus Himself did, and charged us to with with the "Go into the world and preach....."

  • @CholettR well said! i have seen some comments on his music videos that have had me replying and directing people to this interview because just a quick listen to his super hype style of music (which i admit im quite fond of) will indeed make a careful Christian question whether or not it follows (as you pointed out) the admonishin of Paul to seek after things that are praisworthy or of good report.

his testimony and tender heart suprised me and i rejoice he found the Lord.

  • i saw petti in duval at a gas station 4 the 1st tym since like 2003 when i 1st moved bck 2 duval frn atlanta. we caught up and he gave me his new cd ressurections. my favorite petti, wait ,1 of my favorite songs of all time is SELLOUT by petti.i couldnt believe that song was not on the ressurections cd. you een heard a petti song until yew heard SELLOUT. truhss meh.

  • So, what...when someone becomes a Christian they are just supposed to all of the sudden start dressing in slacks, suit & tie and listening to 150 year old organ music in order to be different from the world? What a crock! No wonder the church has an image problem. We say "come as you are." but the fine print reads, "once you're here, you have to start becoming like the rest of us...and oh by the way, here's all the rules that you'll need to follow in order to 'fit in' at our church."

  • IMA CHRISTIAN WE EXEPT ALL people

  • great obsercation! i couldnt have said it better.

  • Before "judging" a song (whether Christian or secular) one should consider the lyrics and the context of the song...not just whether or not they have a preference for or against a particular style of music

  • music in and of itself is neither good nor evil. it is completely neutral. It is lyrics that make it something that builds people up or tears them down. People who say that a certain style or instrument is evil should really consider David in the OT. He played a harp. Now I am sure that other people from other countries and religions played harps. Does that mean that David was copying "The World"?! No.

  • when he rap he should thuggish when he talk he sound like a kid Blezz u brother

  • i hope God will use me to bring more souls to christ especially in my high school.please help me Jesus to put u first, amen

  • this guy is my hero...awesome music, and a truned around life to top it all off...and he ain't even ashamed of it!!!! i love it.

  • Question? This is not an attack on P! I know most think God uses these gospel rapper and feel that they can relate to our youthful generation.Where's the difference in how the rappers look between the worldly rappers and the so called gospel rappers?Should gospel rappers have grillz, and spinning rims and flashy jewels in their video's like the world????

  • I hear what you are saying, and I believe there has to be a line. But where is that line? I remember what Paul said "become all things to all people so that same may be saved." Just a thought.

  • can u really call yourself a christian if u judge people off of stuff like that, jesus says so many times to judge off of what is in your heart

  • It's not judging my dude. Jesus also spoke about knowing what is of the father and what is of the world(satan). I just can't tell a difference between P's video and the rappers that are not living christian lifestyle. How can we separate the two. There has to be a difference. Read the word, it's in there. God bless!

  • my bad man i was a little harsh in my words but all u have to do to see the difference is listen to the lyrics and that "worldly" stuff, we don't know how much he gives to charity or tithes i'm gonna say right now i don't tithe on or over ten percent, but i'm not JUDGED to being someone who squanders their money because i don't have enough and u gotta understand that maybe u spend your money on other extra unneeded stuff, but it's the same as gettin spinners or grillz

  • It's all cool my dude. I just get a lil thrown off by these so called gospel rappers. If you really listen, most of them don't really even talk about Jesus or the teachings. Look at Pettidee's video "Im a Vet". He mentions God one time near the end of the song and the whole song is all about him. No gospel, no mention of teachings. Go never said reach the youth with grillz and rims and the culture of hip-hop.We are simply suppose to lead the example of Jesus Christ. There is a very thin line.

  • naw man i don't see what kind of a vice having grillz or rims are and yeah i can kinda agree that this song has a very little mention to God in this song but it's only one song all his other songs are all about God and Jesus. he is a faith leader and i only hope that one day i can have faith like him

  • Nah fam you got it twisted I'm afraid, God is glorified in this song. I'm a Vet Lyrics: Still gutter for God, still Trill; God saved me; show the killers and the dealers he the way hey/bring night to the light make day hey; Ion't read the Bible I Live it; The rap game a sport, full contact/ but when you do it for God its full combat/ With my Bible and my lyrics and my drum track; With the power of God we get crunk right/The devil like gizmo hate bright light (LOL).and that's not even all of em'

  • Good lookin out fam...I know ya'll all mean well and I have nothing against P at all. I just find it strange that it's to much like what the world is doing. They have to be separated. Also how can any one be gutter or trill for God? Gutter is not a good term nor is trill. These are hood terms that symbolizes hood things. We are changed through Christ Jesus. What ever we were before Christ Jesus saves us the evidence is being a different person. Feel me? A crack head can't say im a crk hd 4 GOD.

  • 1st. What does trill mean? 2nd. Crack is EVIL period. I can't say that "the gutter" is evil; it's just a low point in life. But tell me...what is trill"?. Also, show me an example of a Christian that's not like the world in APPEARANCE.(ANYONE-rapper or preacher). It's like you think God made suits and khaki's and the devil made baggy jeans. Unless you dress according to the book of Leviticus, it's ALL like the world family. Show me 1 look or appearances that's not worldly...even 1.

  • In hood terms "Trill" to be real on the streetz and handle my business(drugs)and if any one tries to stop will get hurt. Now you said it your self dat gutter is a low point in life.If we profess that Christ Jesus saved us;Why should we still be at a low point?Doesn't make any sense. This scriptures makes in very clear. Romans 12: v 1-2. There are plenty more that describe who we should be in Christ.

  • your such a noob xD both of those words have different meanings trill can mean crunk, and gutta can mean you bout your business

  • Yes but the difference between us isn't visual. When the the Roman guards came to arrest Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, they couldn't distinguish between Jesus and the world either. They needed Judas to show who Jesus was with the kiss of betrayal. If we're suppose to stand out visually, how come they didn't know who Jesus was. Pettidee's I'm a vet lyrics BLATANTLY condemn thug living. Maybe your focusing on the fact that He's saying he's a vet...which he is. Lol. God Bless. -Lavoisier

  • I feel you on this to but look at it like this. If I heard about you and never saw you I would need some one to point you out to. My point is that it's not da visual but the same pattern as the world rappers. From da look, to da grillz, da rims to the sound. No difference but lyrics. Music carries spirits. Jesus wants us to be different. And we don't need to act or and look like the world to try and reach anyone. Yahweh(GOD) wants us to be and example. People watch us all da time.

  • That's just it...everyone isn't "acting". When you put on a business suit, are you acting like a sleezy wall street exec? (BAILLOOOUT). Grills? Rims? Sound? Where does God condemn gold, aluminum alloy, or a "sound". Some people really under estimate how "sincere" "some" hip hop expression is. Your presuming that its "staged" or "inauthentic" and not birthed out of his culture and genuine experience. Wearing a tuxedo to a wedding is JUST AS MUCH secular conformity as grills and rims.

  • As I mentioned before.Music carries spirits. So if people are getting "crunk" to this music,it's not glorifying the one true God Yahweh. This is why we need to study Yahweh's word more. People don't even know what crunk means. It's means crazy and drunk. Drunkenness in is a sin according to the bible. Research this.

  • hes trying to show them that that stuff dont matter, but he is unsing that stuff to get the attention of the generation

  • The difference is they don't have girls rubbing up on guys and girls showing off their bodies. The lyrics are soooo different. It is clear and evident. Grills and rims are just a part of culture.

  • praise God

  • ya my image was torn apart along with the rest of my life wen my parents got divorced and i had nobody to talk to i know how he felt exactly

  • normally i wrap jerks like u in a rear naked choke until they stop moving but seeing as i cant get my hands on u il just say that god love u regardless

  • I wouldn't even worry about lil buddy. All he can do is just what he's doing here, and that's talk trash. God is using Pettidee to spread the gospel and bring this generation to Christ. So, be proud of Pettidee for what he's doing for the Lord and pay lil buddy a large amount of "no-never-mind".

  • My Names Blake Miller im 16 and I have a mission go into professional wrestling and be 1/2 of the first tag team in history to live for god in evreything we say and do and minister through wrestling give us 5-6 years and the john 3:16 mafia will hopefully come into ur home pray for us if u wanna help copy and paste this on 10 videos god bless

  • My dad's friend is his manager and i got his cd for free and i got to meet him. If i had ever met him and just seen him on the streets i would think he was a thug or sumtin but he is really cool.

  • Wow - this is amazing. Pettidee has got to be one of the most inspirational-rappers I've ever seen. Like the previous comment, he's so different talking than when he's singing - truly shows the light of Christ.

  • Dagnabity Jankins! To see him in his video and to listen to him here is like seeing two different people. In the video, he looks so hard and just vicious, like he'd be one of the dudes like DMX. But, to hear him speaking here, he just seems to be a very gentle, tender kind of person. He comes across as an outstandingly friendly person, like someone that you can meet, without knowing him, and after the first few minutes, come off like you've been knowing him all of your life.

  • God made a powerful transformation in his life. That's the kind of transformation that I want God to make in my life. May God continue to bless him.

  • I know he sound different, But all glory belongs to God he out here telling ppls about Jesus. Keep it up Pettidee

  • awsome...this guy is the best christian rapper
