excuse me! This choir, more than anyone, has ridiculed our tribe by deforming a Maguindanao ritual beyond recognition. Can you really imagine a Maguindanaoan in this costume (what is it anyway? It resembles traditional Northern Filipino attire that was sewn together by a color-blind Holloween costume maker). Have you ever seen a Maguindanao tribe dressed up like a gay clown before? I don't think so.

Ilay gandangan is a tribal song from Mindanao..eh yung sa MCS, costume nila pang Igorot (nasa Luzon) parang may mali na ata dun... pero maganda nga pagkakanta nila :)
I was so distracted by the many movements of hands and the pieces of cloth they're twirling around. I think the choreography was overly done, in fact there were some movements which makes you think if a Maguidanao man moves that way as well. Sound-wise it was fantastic. But what the heck do i know. They won, didn't they? So i guess they did very well.
