The problem for Chris & Lorelai is that while they may like and even love each other, they were far too unstable as a couple. Additionally, they would go several years without seeing one another. In the end, the relationship was done in by Christopher trying to paper over their differences with a sudden marriage. Meanwhile, Luke was always there for Lorelai even when he wasn't trying to.

i wonder if it was weird for the actors. i mean they met for the first time and had to find all this chemistry and make out and stuff.

also i wouldve like it if Lor and Chris got together before she was with Luke. but after she was with Luke, she shouldve been with him forever.

The whole Lorelai/Chris/Luke-thing really began in this episode when Lore didn't show up at Luke's because of Christopher.

I know everyone's divided between Lorelai & Luke and Lorelai & Christopher.. it took me ages to work out which side I was on myself. But I think that Lorelai & Luke had a far better relationship when they WEREN'T a couple, but there was still all that chemistry. I really wanted them to get together then. When they got together they became very monotonous and boring. Whereas with Christopher, it was always exciting.. together / apart / just friends. So I think that's where my vote lies :)

I love this scene so much!!! I love these two together - even though they divorced in the end I really couldn't think that that was the last time they's ever be together - they've beenthrough so much!

It's hard to shake off a guy you're soooo passionate about even if you know they're wrong for you!

Even though I really loved Christopher and Lorelai and they did have such awesome chemistry

the fact that they didn't end up together makes it kind of bittersweet

because there was always that feeling that they should and would end up together, but then they didn't... a little tragic

but in a ..good way?
