Gays in the military? Go ahead. To all the Military supporters a group of civilian supporters have been going to Soldier's funerals and catching these protesters and standing in from of them with an American flag to block their signs. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY! Thanks for serving fellow soldiers

More than the people who started the crusades and wars over religion believe me. I just love how they protest at funerals of people who SACRIFICE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR RIGHT to be hypocritical (sarcasm). If this was any other country they would have been killed already (just for even being "Christian"). It's all these freedoms (which soldiers fight for) that are keeping them alive and out of jail (and if anything are making them money because they constantly sue people and win because of their rights). Christian or not protesting funerals is something you just don't do.

What about thanking God for some positive things in the world for a change (despite all the negative, there are some positive things in life you know). It'll make you seem a little less hypocritical and give Christians a little bit of a better reputation (not by much, but it's a start). BETTER YET, actually HELP people in need or that are grieving instead doing no good for anyone and protesting funerals.

My brother is gay and in the military. There's no difference between gays in the military and having homosexual relationships than straight people having heterosexual relationships in the military imo.

There's really nothing the government can do to stop the protests. I am for freedom of speech, and I believe in the constitution, but I believe that these people should stop their protests out of their heart and not from being forced to do so.

My brother had just returned home in november, but during his one year tour, Two people were killed. I was at both funerals and there was no one there protesting. If there were people protesting i think id be in jail right now for attempted murder. WTFC about gays in the armed forces they are Americans too just like Atheists are allowed to serve in the Service. WB Church is going to draw the attention of a talented sniper that has been trained how to take that shot and GTF out of there. I dont think they should be able to do this. They protested at a military funeral in my area and at the high school my dad went to, and there were huge counter protests at both of them. On a little side note, the head of the WBC Shirley Phelps-Roper used to be a big Elton John fan... and we all know his sexual orientation haha

i completely agree with you pete. protesting is fine, you can fight for your belief as much as you want, but at a funeral?? WTH?? sexual orientation is really a personal choice rather than a "official" matter. and as long as they are fit for their job, who really cares whether they are gay or not??
