i just bought this game like two days ago and its pretty cool for the first time but once you beat the game its not as fun as it used to be i learned that the hard way this is more of a quick game instead of a long term game like skate it,and mario kart.

Hm, the in-game graphics look like they could go either way, and I have a feeing the game's physics will follow (i.e. unrealistic running speed, too sensetive controls etc., like harry potter order of the pheonix ds) but I still really hope it will be good. Bottomline: It looks to me that it's probably going to either have ALMOST the great graphics of Mario 64 DS, or the semi-horrible graphics from harry potter order of the pheonix. It's not all about graphics, but if the physics are off, FAIL.

I would argue I've never played a video game that actually had realistic physics (They always seem to have a blatant disregard for the laws of thermodynamics and the conservation of energy).

Sarcasm aside, yeah, the control needs to be tight for a game to work.

LOL you've obviously never played a lot of games then (i.e. Halo, sims, most RPGs, and many platformers-quite a few of them mediocre-to name a few)yeah a few of those were cheap blows-sims and RPGs-but nevertheless I think you went a bit too far with your claim of pretty much all games having unrealistic physics. (BTW, for future reference you said you've never played a game with realistic physics, so the games I said don't have to have perfect physics, just pretty realistic)

Realistic physics = perfect for my purposes, but games would be quite a bit less enjoyable if every physical law was applied accurately. :/

How are realistic physics perfect for your purposes? I never said every physical law would be applied accurately, but there is a difference between a realistic universes and realistic physics. I mean take Super Mario 64 and Galaxy, very realistic physics, just not in a realistic universe (i.e. Mario's super human jumps, gravity in Super Mario Galaxy etc.) our humanly physics and boundaries don't always apply in video game worlds. Plus, what does human energy conservation have to do with physics?

Perfect physics are my standard of realism because I am a physics major, and like to be stuck up about these things.

Also, conservation of energy is the concept that provides for the preservation of all energy and matter, not human energy conservation (which I wasn't even aware existed). They can only be converted, not created or destroyed. There's always at least one gun in every shooter that doesn't follow this rule, for example.

It seems like you would have to be both a physics major and very literate to correct someone on a technicality in their speech, honestly I don't think physics had to do much with my mistake. I mean yes my mistake happened when I was talking about physics but I thought it was rather obvious what I meant, and it was more of a literature mistake.

I thought you were referring to how video game characters do not conserve their energy like real humans and how it was unrealistic. My bad.

Also, nothing is perfect or precise in video games. With that logic there is no realism in any video games whatsoever.

Well it doesn't come out for another couple months so you've still got time to decide, but I think the graphics look awesome and the gameplay looks interesting so I'm definitely getting it.
