Keep it up Love your videos and thank you for the advice in the past. Learned a few songs I am gonna get a B3 hopefully. Do you know if I can trade the Concord to a church by any chance
@Tonewheeldude Horseshit, Tony's playing is dry and boring compared some of the material you've posted! I'll hear nothing more of this nationality nonsense =P
its sound great and its portable love the rifs....just wondering if he is actually going through a leslie cab or is that internal(digital leslie) sound
Very impressive stuff -playing and sound. I still have my C-3/122 from my gigging days and was contemplating getting an XK33C to play out with. Does this have the same key switching system as the originals/new B3?
@Tonewheeldude Most likely a significant reason for the much higher cost of the new B3. The added capabilities (MIDI, storage, portability etc.) still give the XK an advantage over its fuller sized counterparts.

I wish I was as good as you, but the best players are the ones who write slow, thought provoking riffs like radio head. Soloing is very awesome to you and us musicians, but to regular lemans, its elevator music. Snore.
@ccaumack your confusing pop music with Jazz, Radio Head are Pop. This is Jazz Organ. The best players in Jazz are not the "ones who write slow ,thought provoking riffs like Radio Head" . I would think Jazz players couldn't give a damn about Radio Head there lyrical content & there limitations of musicianship.
Man it hurts the guts out off me just to see something like this.. and I'm thinking of buying a hammond only to play reggae with it.. can someone lend me a hammer so I can knock my forehead.. lol.. awesome playing dude.. envy you in a good way.. GOD BLESS!!! PEACE OUT>
LOVE IT MAN! I'm an ole B-3 player and carted that 400+ beast and Leslie around for years. Using the NI B-4 softwre, but still not the same as your rig
How do you get the sustain to come on when you hit the preset (at around 48 seconds into the song)? I have a XK3c and I do not see anything in the User's Manual on how to do it.
You know, i've got a Nord Stage with it's great B3 sound, but i'm still looking for ways to improve my playing (aren't we all) - since i'm relatively unexperienced in playing organ. Despite the handicap of having a single (hammer action! :s) keyboard instead of a dual manual, can you give me any advice on how to improve my organ skills? e.g. where to find Licks that I can practice, that sort of thing. hope you can help!
That is probably the best video I've seen of anyone playing a Hammond and i bet you spent a small fortune on all that gear. how long have you been playing
A little hyperactive for me, but still nice playing sir.

Please, explain why Tony Monaco is doing the demo vids for new Hammond equipment when there's a beast like you to hammer on these new beasts?

@Normhart Only the New B3 has the Key Contacts switches.
But XK33C has got the sound, and is lightweight

I got my XK-3c about a month ago. It is the single most awesome piece of gear ever made and 100% worth the money.
Only problem is I want to upgrade it further with the lower manual and pedals...

man, i wonder if i could get sound like that by putting more easily distorting tubes in my hammond m103?
005davidragon 3 years ago
Well, you Probably have to get more overdrive in some way,Thats what Great with the XK3C,that you can adjust the Dual TubeOverdrive.
Its possible to build a separate Tube Overdrive unit to have between the M100 Preamp and the Leslie.Cheers T-Dude/Patrik
