the tank is clearly too small. u may have seen oscars that dense in a tank at the fish shop, but cmon man. they must b killin ur filtration too. i have a 65 gallon, just stocked it with 2 juvenile oscars about 2 inch long. 65 gallons isn't big enuff for 3 oscars in my opinion. not telling u not to have fun, but perhaps re-assess your tank plans and goals. good luck bro.
i have a 55 gallon with two oscars and 2 JD's and they dont fight like that!! they nip somtimes, but that's pretty bad u shuld seperste them or get a biger tank!
Well after the get bigger they tend to loose Red as per water conditions. Good conditions = More bright red. So often water changes, like 40% of water per week and often charcoal changes. After that only other thing I can think is florescent light which brings out color and Prayer.
i us hikari cichlid gold pellet food. i have two oscars, tiger and albino, and they have bright colors. i also noticed color changes in my 2 jack dempseys. realy works!!
I think that if you got 3 oscars you might want to seperate them from time to time because of mating season *wink wink* They apparently get pretty aggressive
I once had 2 Oscars. One morning i went to look inn the tank and they had dissapeared. I found them lying on the living room floor DEAD! - They had jumped out of the tank in the night - I couldnt believe it!!!
Dude, how big is the aquarium you've got these oscars in? 1 oscar should have a minimum of 75 gallons. I see 3 Oscars and that doesn't look like a 225 gal. tank. No wonder they're fighting all the time. Oscars are very territorial.
You are terrible. I feel so bad for those oscars. this is just as bad as owning to many dogs. This is neglect.
