The vast majority of fan of...ANYTHING don't know what they're talking about. Reply to my message, TSlayer. Let's see if I've actually found another remotely intelligent observer.
Ok Hardy got put over but for wat?? U get put over to accomplish something or gain something, tell wat does he gain from being put over?? Hardy is not going to get the WWE title cuz he has two strikes due to the drug policy. He has respect from the fans they love him.
you dont need to win a match or win the belt to be put over, the term to be put over is like putting you on the map or making you better then how u looked when u went in. I disagree with HHH's ways but he did put Hardy over at No Mercy then he did back at Armagaddeon
HHH is a normal guy in wrestling terms, as his his character. He should not be able to react the way he did from taking that much punishment, that is what annoys me and others. I know why he did it, because he wanted to look awesome and show how powerful he thinks he is.
Yes he did make Jeff look good, but he wated all of that by making Jeff's two top moves look weak. No way would Jeff have been able to counter the Pedigree like that, but HHH gets away with it cos Vince lets him
I don't feel HHH buried Jeff, and I think their match was very good. HHH pushed Jeff well and made him look as good as him.
However, I do think the way he won was not right. OK yes he did a cradle pin, but with the damage he took from Jeff's two top moives he should've been unable to have that kind of awareness to be able to pull that off.
The kind of guys who shake off moves like that are superhuman freaks like Kane or Undertaker, or guys like Hogan.
I disagree partly beecause we have seen HHH take immense amounts of punishment in Hell in a Cell matches and still pull off the victory. I do agree that Kane and Undertaker are on a different level as far as pain threshold but that doesn't mean that HHH is pretending to be superhuman. Oh, and by the way Hogan sucks.
i agree Hogan sucked, but Hulking out even when hit with high impact moves was part of his thing. HHH by wrestling standards is a normal guy, so he'd be unable to have that sort of strength left to do a rollup.
It's just HHH abusing his position with Vince and getting away with it
Be that as it may, I don't know if anyone else can see what is going on as far as the chracter of The Game. There has been an obvious "evolution" of his chracter for at least a year or two. I mean think about it Taker has kicked it into another gear, Big Show is KOing people, Koslov is unbeaten, and don't forget Shelton Benjamin. The Game has to "hulk up" in order to stay a top guy. Smackdown's competition is too good now days.
The competition doesn't look that good cos HHH is squashing them all. He's beaten MVP, Shelton, Khali, Jeff, Kendrick & whoever else has been thrown at him so far. He'll also end Kozlov's undefeated streak if they meet for the title.
If he wants to help make the comptetion look good, he could lose to some of them once in a while.
as long as Truthslayer is around, I never have to make a video. This was perfect, fucking idiot people that don't think Hardy got put over. However, is it really worth it for WWE to put over a guy that they can't give the title to due to his track record?
because Hardy is over, and its time for wwe to push new stars, wat else Hardy needs to prove in a tag team or a midcard spot?...nothing, yes Hardy has made his mistakes and wont get the belt for a while but WWE is putting him more up there and not more of a midcard level
Just because u dont have the title dont mean nothing, Jeff Hardy has the underdog gimmick they building him up more and more, they dont wanna just give him the title right away without any build up or if that person is not over.
but...they CAN'T give him the title. His track record with MULTIPLE rehab stints says that he can't have the title. They can put him in front of main eventers as often as they want, it's not legit because he can't win it. Talent wise, he is a main eventer, for sure. Background wise, they would be creating another Benoit/Guerrero if he is the champ, and they won't do that
I kind of liked all the matches except for the women's match. However the lame TV quality segments kind of held the card down. I actually thought the Matt Hardy VS. Mark Henry Match Was Good for what it was. It's probably the best I ever seen Mark Henry Work.
Triple H did make him look Jeff Hardy look good in the match. Hardy controlled the pace of it early on, broke out of the Pedigree either 2-3 times, hit a few good spots and all 3 of his big signature moves/finishers
Triple H wins without hitting a Pedigree: when the fuck was the last time ANYONE saw that??
I think Jeff will get the strap eventually, maybe RR or WM 2010. Like Eddie (RIP) before him, even though he's WAY over, he justs needs more time to prove he can be reliable and drug free
As long as HHH is married to Stephanie, some fans are going to scrutinise everything he does and come up with the wrong answer at times. It is a shame some peopl;e can get so vindictive nut that is just the way it goes.
Good points you made there, TSlay, although many people's problems with the match was not that Triple H didn't put Jeff Hardy over and made him look equal to him, because he did, many people's problems with HHH in this match was the fact that he not only survived *2* finishers, one right after the other, but actually proceeded to win with a *roll up* on top of it, that's what people concerns are with the match.
that was the point of the finish like the match finished like that on purpose to prove that jeff hardy is catching up to hhh and that hhh is barely holding on to the gold to prove that jeff may have been better on the night but hhh had the exp to still beat him dont forget all this is done on purpose for dramatics in the storyline of the boyhood dream coming true story...jeff will have the belt soon enough
Triple H is the flag Bearer...Hardy's time will come when he stays clean....Triple H is awesome and I dont give a fuck fuck all you HHH haters Ive spoke up for the man since he was Terror Ryzn
I agree that this was a good - great ppv, but I will attempt to explaine how I feel someone could think HHH buried Jeff. People are so fed up with HHH screwing guys over and burying others in matches that if he ever wins they perceive it as burying that wrestler. HHH winning with a backslide could be perceived by some as burying Jeff because the backslide is such a simple move, so it could by taken as HHH not even having to make an effort to beat Jeff. But really, people complaine either way.
it was a good match with a bad ending, they could have had triple h reverse the twist of fate with a pedigree. but you cant change the past. good vid tslay
Even though I hate HHH more than any other wrestler, I have to agree that HHH winning isn't that bad. Jeff Hardy beat HHH at Armageddon via fluke, and HHH beat Jeff via fluke. Plus I'd rather see Jeff win his 1st world title at Wrestlemania. Keep fighting the haters TruthSlayer.
Truthslayer is right lets look at how other guys became over like this...Wrestlemania X Shawn Michaels lost the match but came out of it bigger than he was before...Fast forward 3 years later Wresltemania 13 Stone Cold went in as the heel and came out as the baby face and became bigger than anyone ever thought which lead to him being more over than hogan
Not to mention, something that has kind of forgotten through anles of time, is the rub Trips gave to Y2J at FL 2000 with their LMS match. Trips had to cheat, and even than, was just BARELY able to get up at the count of 9, and claim victory. And even than, after doing so, collapsed afterwards.
BTW forgot to mention that if you add this ending + HHH history of not putting people over, it pisses people off. so to say that we dont know what we are talking about becomes a little ignorant but i know where you are coming from TSlay
The Majority of wrestling And iwc fans did like the ppv and Did like the HHH match. If we took a poll of people who liked the match among the iwc fans, the majority would say the liked it, and the people who you are talking about who didn't like it probably streamed the ppv and match so they didn't really even experience the match
Hardy was pretty dominating the match, and the people who watched knows that
youre right,2 or 3 years ahead we will look back and watch this match and the first thing we will say after the match is.."jeff pwned hhh the whole match and hhh won via fluke"...tslay is right jeff belongs in the main event but i dont know as a champion
If Hardy/Henry was 2.5 whichon a 10 point scale equals 5(and I'll do this with all of them), Phoenix/Michelle was 3, Kane/Mysterio was a 4, JBL/Batista was a 3, Show/Taker was a 6, HHH/Hardy was an 8 and Jericho/HBK was a 9 which is a total combined of 38 dived by 7 which is 5.4, how is the PPV an 8?
jeff is over with the fans, but is very very hard for wwe to put the main title on hardy, just because of jeff himself
and about putting someone over, just look at kozlof,he hasnt wrestled hhh but he comes every week and beats hhh,so putting over doesnt always means win or lose,it means belonging in the spot with the main guy
alot of the IWC thinks all it takes to be put over is win, and you can get buried just buy losing, I've seen people argue HHH put over Hardy at Armageddon, and didn't at No Mercy. It's completely retarded. It's just as bad as Cena hate, it's like the majority of the IWC has their mouth located on their ass
I argued this point on spinnernet's video when he compares HHH to Hogan & Warrior. Its not like HHH no sold the swanton or kicked out at 2 then hit his all his , atomic drop, spinebuster combo then the pedigree for the win.
I will say that they could have done a better ending, but I don't think it completely undid the elevation Hardy got from the match. It kinda hurt his finishers credibility but the Swanton already looks like crap in comparision to the SSP and Matt's ToF looks 10x better.
if hardy would of won people would have said it was a great ppv but cause he won they put the match down. ive told people before i understand why wwe doesn't give title to jeff hardy but no one want to look at it from there view, so everyone on here says same shit everytime HHH wins its his ego and bla bla, Jeff made his own bed
i don't think he buried hardy, i think he he made jeff's finshers look like shit. it's like he buried the finshing move of jeff hardy. both or 3 of them you could argue that wisper in the wind is a finsher to since he beat people like umaga with it.
I honestly liked the match. I came around the fact Hardy went over, but the ending was a sour taste imo. It was a damn a good match, HHH did what he suppose to do, let Jeff go over.
The ending was just uh. But man, I thought Jeff was going to win. But I knew he wouldn't.
im not getting bend all out of shape im saying that i dont like feeling like im being talked down to and made to feel like i dont know what im talking about by someone i respect
So true. Is it our fault that we are accustomed to great quality? I mean, some people have high standards and some haven't. I also hate when people say: "Enjoy it for what it is". It fuc.... depends on what it is!
THANK YOU TRUTH. As I said on the forums, the people going "HHHitler " are just having this FUCKING INFURIATING kneejerk reaction where HHH can't do anything right. WE KNOW HHH POLITICS. IT'S NOT RIGHT. But that doesn't mean the man CAN'T do what's right. And god fucking dammit he did not do the wrong thing in this situation.
I was a big HHH fan growing up, but he has recently not been very entertaining.... but this match you speak of, was one of the first matches, of his, in a long time (that i have seen, mind you) that actually was enjoyable. Jeff Hardy made HHH look better than he looks with other wrestlers he has faced recently, with execption to Shelton Benjamin on Smackdown a few weeks back. Hardy definitely wasn't squashed and I believe he came out looking like the better man or at least equal to HHH.
I Really haven't heard anyone complaining that triple h buried jeff hardy.
i think it hurt jeffs chances of ever winning the title because the whole build was he had already been so close to winning the world title and he never did it. and then that was the same thing in this match. so where does jeff go from here?
but all and all like i said on the fourum i give triple h credit because he actually made or let someone look good for once.
but i do think triple h hurt matt hardy on smackdown last week because it did make matt hardy look like he didn't belong in that match through most of it at least when HHH was in it.and then of course when matt started to build momentum then he turns around kick pedigree and its over.of course matt got the clean win over henry at no mercy which helped but i still wish the triple threat would have been booked differently.
If you want to see complaining about HHH burying Hardy, check out the comments to TSlay's review of No Mercy. You'll get more than your share of angry IWC members ready to start a riot over the finish.
I don't understand why people actually thought Hardy would win at No Mercy, which is generally not regarded as a major PPV. Hardy's first major title win needs to happen at a major PPV. I personally had no problem with that match at all. Only thing I wasn't really a fan of was the Batista-JBL match and the Orton-MVP promo. Other than that, pretty good PPV. I'd give it a 7.5
The only way it hurt Hardy was this way. If wwe keeps teasing his win by having him lose, albeit barely it is still a loss, then the fans will stop caring and his win when it finally happens will be meaningless if the fans don't give a fuck. With 100 ppv's a year and more tv time than it should have the world title, and hhh vs hardy in general will get old because we all know they will fight every week and ppv until hardy finally wins. This is wwe people, we have seen this shit before.
Jeff Hardy needs to prove himself to the WWE office before they let him run with the belt, once they can fully trust him THEN he will get the belt, And attaxwrongnes is right, i can't think of may people that have kicked out of the pedigree.
I don't like hhh but he deserves the belt till mania for all the guys he HAS moved up the card . To the jeff hardy fans the guy will not be a world champion because he is to much of a risk .
Tslay you're so right on this one. It was the same with this year's summerslam. I just think the IWC have an incredibly romanticised vision of what wrestling was like 7-10 years ago. This Summerslam was better than 98, much better than 99, on par with 2000, better than 01 but not as good as 02. This No Mercy was one of the best ones yet in terms of match quality; if you go back through time none of the other ones had 2 4*+ matches apart from 99.
I definitely think the last two matches saved the ppv.HHH winning at No Mercy doesn't bother me. I prefer Jeff Hardy to win it at a bigger PPV. The complaint I have with how HHH won was that it made it appear like nothing Hardy could have done would get him the win. Usually when a guy gets hit with a finisher and doesn't lose the pinfall, they slowly get back up and fight on. Instead HHH just rolled Hardy over like it was no big deal. Either way, I still don't think it was a burial or a bad ppv.
Thats what I thought too I mean look at the Cena/Batista match from SS or any match between two big guys that goes over 10 minutes. Everbody kicks out of everbodys finisher. HHH didnt kick out of the Swanton and keep going he used a sneaky pin & won.
If HHH had kicked out & the match had gone another five minutes nobody would be talking about this. Especially if Jeff had won, even if HHH owned those extra five minutes & Jeff won with a jacknife I'm sure ppl would be saying HHH put Jeff over.
I think the reason people hate this so much is because of how much they don't like HHH. I don't really have a problem with it, I don't think Jeff Hardy would be a very good Champion, even though he's one of my favorite wrestlers. But I think that's where the problem is. HHH has been champion off and on now for around 10 years. I think people just want something new. And if that's not the reason why people are upset then I really don't know why they would be mad.
excellent vid, its true alot of people on here dont get the concept of putting over. like all the rants after the elimination chamber match and after the no mercy one. i mean triple h was still on the mat after the ending he didnt ridiculously celebrate or no sell hardys finishers and "hulk up."
i thought for once in my life that HHH worked a great match with hardy. i just thought that the ending was a slight let down but i thought he put hardy over well and didnt bury him lik he usually does with his PPV oponents
As far as HHH goes, I don't think he buried Jeff. I just think he, or someone on creative, believe HHH's own hype.
As far as the ppv goes, maybe some people think that if a ppv doesn't have nothing but good matches, then they fail. If a few matches are bad, then the ppv was bad. Could be why some people said No Mercy sucked.
As far as internet fans never being happy, I think that's the case sadly. They always seem to bitch about one thing, then bitch about when what they want is done.
Perfect example is the Attitude era, and how people say why can't WWE be like it was then?Yet, when WWE tries some things they would do in the Attitude era, people bitch and say " they are just trying to recreate the attitude era. "
Lol-Tslay, I had the same idea right before watching this vid. The Triple H rants need to stop! When people like us talked about his politics, it made sense. Now people are complaining at Triple H all the time. I saw a video with HHH vs. Kenny Dykstra and people were bitching about politics. Do they really expect Triple H to loose cleanly to everyone? Hell; I would argue that HHH gave Hardy a rub in the chamber match.
With no question, did you see the video spinnernet1 made, ranting about hhh super natural powers, omg its so stupid,or you have MBwrestler making a video, about how the bitching is now being defended,Monoxide rants how hhh burys, the longer we have fans like that in the IWC,no one is going to listen to us,the bitching is old now.
MBWrestler's vid had a point to it! He was (as the title said) was defending why people were complaining about HHH and for the RIGHT reasons. Have you even watched the vid? Now that HHH does one thing right, people should just stop complaing even though it's likey that he'll go back to doing the same shit over and over again.
My previous comment on the initial video regards Jeff's bad promo work. I'd like to see somebody convince me how Jeff has good promo skills, cause it ain't happening.
He's embarrassingly bad on the Mike, but he has other qualities. As an upper mid carder Jeff works best. The problem is the Smackdown roster is hurting for viable title contenders. If not Jeff then who? koslov? Triple H's title run's as dry as Melba toast been there done that didn't buy the T-shirt. Who's set to dethrone him?
Mr.Truth Slayer once again, great vid, first of i apologize, that i did not see the ppv,i watch the NFL most of the time,on sundays, when there are WWE ppv events, from my point of view, only IMO,is that the WWE only had 2 of the greatest ppv's this year of 2008,Mania24,and SummerSlam,i saw those, but so far as the rest,i was not interested,if there would be more WWE events compared to Starcade 85,Mania3,i would tune in to every ppv,but thats not going to happend,as for HHH points well made,i agree.
I have never called myself a "smart fan" because I don't think many are, and most that do have read a few things then they know the business. I think I know a fair bit about wrestling after about 15years or so but I can tell through reading/watching reviews and forums online some people just assume they know all because they know the lingo. This specifically comes down to having the HHHaters (justified or not) who are also Hardy marks, so if Jeff lost they couldnt be happy. Were all marks!
This is a perfect example of fans trying to be "smart fans". It's cool to bash everything Triple H does so they think any match Triple H wins he buries them. Undertaker basically did the same thing at Wrestlemania when he put the gogoplata on Edge after the spear. But nobody complained about that. You know why? BECAUSE EDGE LOOKED STRONGER IN THE MATCH JUST LIKE JEFF HARDY.
these last few months in TNA, since the week before slammiversey, Kaz's angle was hes so good and great but cant win the big matches, against petey, joe, as the leader of team tna, and a few more title matches, but he still looked great in every match, alot of people didnt even pick up on the losing streak, because each match he looked like the winner, he was being so hard on himself but no one was disappointed in him, everyone was shocked that he felt like shit, cause they saw him as the winner
dude im sorry but theres no excuse for HHH ignoring both of jeffs finishers and pinning him like nothing happen! he completely ignored the psychology by not selling those two moves. he did put over jeff this time, i can admit that, but with him doing that one thing, he ust made the whole thing look like it shoudn't of happened. its like a referee no selling a chair shot. it makes no sense. HHH should've stayed down for a bit to sell it, a 10 count, kicked out, then ended the match.
You saw a diffrent match than i did then. This is what I saw. Jeff hit two finishers( when was the last time he won with the twist of fate?) He Laid across HHH and HHH then backslid him for the win..basicly selling the moves. If he didn't sell the moves then he woudl have kicked out gotten up and peddegreed Jeff like nothing had happend.
you have a different interpretation of selling than i do then, because to sell the move if must make it look like it had some type of effect of rendering you immobile. i didn't see that kind of selling for jeff's moves, i seen jeff hit 2 finhishers, and HHH didn't even bother to do atleast the dignity of making his move look like did some type of damage, BEFORE the end of the match, not after it. but like i said, i agree with you of him putting jeff over.
Give me a break. HE WON WITH A ROLL UP! THE SAME WAY JEFF BEAT TRIPLE H. It isn't like Triple H got up and Hulked up and hit him with 8 pedigrees then beat him. He beat him with a DESPERATION MOVE. I suppose you haven't watched wrestling long enough to know what that is since it happens all the time.
I remeber a match between Jeff Hardy and Carlito. Even though Carlito lost the match, he still looked amazing. If I am right, that is an example of losing a match and yet going over at the same time.
I agree with u 100% tslay, when I watched the match and Triple H won, at first I was like "omg.. he won again.." but then I thought to myself "Fuck Hardy looked great in that match" I mean knowing Triple H and knowing how Jeff has fucked up in the past, there was no way Jeff was gonna come away with the strap, but at the same time HHH could of done alot worse to Hardy, he could of completely buried the fuck out of him, but in the end he didnt and still the IWC is pissed, weird..
Who're these phantom IWC masses that supposedly bitch about Jeff's lack of a title run? What I mean is that there are far more posts complaints regarding the IWC (which I mite add we are all apart of), then people complaining about that match. I really don't know why Tslay needed a secound video on this topic but hell why not. At least this one was more concise.
I am taking it you saw the match? Becouse he didn't really roll him over. Jeff was laying on him and he just did almost a big slide to him. With the way Jeff was laying it still looked like HHH was out of it.
i really enjoyed no mercy, to me its like an 8.5, thing is, i felt that if the last 3 matches had different winners, wwe would have had alot of fans happy, and could've automatically beaten this sundays bound for glory before it even started, but even with the different results, the matches were incredible (last 2), and the storytelling has no competition at all, like u said, jeff was put over, kind of like kaz vs kurt after last years genensis, kurt had no offense, no chance, got his ass kicked
then snuck away with the win, kaz was even signaling that kurt got lucky, it was great as hell, people dont know what they want most of the times, i litterly saw people that said they want punk to be champ, marked out when he won, next week said he doesnt look like a champ, not steroid up enough, but complain when vince wants people with muscles to be champ, imo, HHH made jeff look like the 2nd best guy on SD!, which means he looked better than edge, undertaker, and anyone else, which means...
he could fued with these guys, look just as good with them, maybe sport a new attire or twist to his current, start building that main event veteran feel to him, like edge has after all these years, then he comes full circle and wins, because of this no mercy match, everyone knows he can do it, he just needs another chance which will come one day, with HHH as champ, he could look unstoppable cause of all the wins, but whoever gets close gets put over, that also builds whoever actually beats him
''Dont know what they're talking about'' To be very honest Tslay, If peoples opinions vary, That doesnt mean that they don't know what their talking about. Thats very near sighted and odd. Just because u dont have the title dont mean nothing, Jeff Hardy has the underdog gimmick they building him up more and more, they dont wanna just give him the title right away without any build up or if that person is not over.
KingOfRock8887 3 years ago
/facepalm
but...they CAN'T give him the title.

It is a shame some peopl;e can get so vindictive nut that is just the way it goes.
thisherethatthere 3 years ago
Good points you made there, TSlay, although many people's problems with the match was not that Triple H didn't put Jeff Hardy over and made him look equal to him, because he did, many people's problems with HHH in this match was the fact that he not only survived *2* finishers, one right after the other, but actually proceeded to win with a *roll up* on top of it, that's what people concerns are with the match.
Headhunter004 3 years ago
that was the point of the finish like the match finished like that on purpose to prove that jeff hardy is catching up to hhh and that hhh is barely holding on to the gold to prove that jeff may have been better on the night but hhh had the exp to still beat him dont forget all this is done on purpose for dramatics in the storyline of the boyhood dream coming true story...jeff will have the belt soon enough

Hardy was pretty dominating the match, and the people who watched knows that

If Hardy/Henry was 2.5 whichon a 10 point scale equals 5(and I'll do this with all of them), Phoenix/Michelle was 3, Kane/Mysterio was a 4, JBL/Batista was a 3, Show/Taker was a 6, HHH/Hardy was an 8 and Jericho/HBK was a 9 which is a total combined of 38 dived by 7 which is 5.4, how is the PPV an 8?
RDizzle12345 3 years ago
jeff is over with the fans, but is very very hard for wwe to put the main title on hardy, just because of jeff himself
and about putting someone over, just look at kozlof,he hasnt wrestled hhh but he comes every week and beats hhh,so putting over doesnt always means win or lose,it means belonging in the spot with the main guy
great vid TSlay
ore24 3 years ago
alot of the IWC thinks all it takes to be put over is win, and you can get buried just buy losing, I've seen people argue HHH put over Hardy at Armageddon, and didn't at No Mercy. It's completely retarded. It's just as bad as Cena hate, it's like the majority of the IWC has their mouth located on their ass
tmac9311 3 years ago
Well HHH had to win that match. Hardy's a fuck up. The Unreliable Enigma! He shouldn't even be in the World Title scene in the 1st place.
NYG4LIFE123 3 years ago
I argued this point on spinnernet's video when he compares HHH to Hogan & Warrior. Its not like HHH no sold the swanton or kicked out at 2 then hit his all his , atomic drop, spinebuster combo then the pedigree for the win.
I will say that they could have done a better ending, but I don't think it completely undid the elevation Hardy got from the match. It kinda hurt his finishers credibility but the Swanton already looks like crap in comparision to the SSP and Matt's ToF looks 10x better.

I honestly liked the match. I came around the fact Hardy went over, but the ending was a sour taste imo. It was a damn a good match, HHH did what he suppose to do, let Jeff go over.

Hardy definitely wasn't squashed and I believe he came out looking like the better man or at least equal to HHH.
jonfostersucks 3 years ago
I Really haven't heard anyone complaining that triple h buried jeff hardy.
i think it hurt jeffs chances of ever winning the title because the whole build was he had already been so close to winning the world title and he never did it. and then that was the same thing in this match. so where does jeff go from here?
but all and all like i said on the fourum i give triple h credit because he actually made or let someone look good for once.
Adampro123 3 years ago 3
but i do think triple h hurt matt hardy on smackdown last week because it did make matt hardy look like he didn't belong in that match through most of it at least when HHH was in it.and then of course when matt started to build momentum then he turns around kick pedigree and its over.of course matt got the clean win over henry at no mercy which helped but i still wish the triple threat would have been booked differently.
Adampro123 3 years ago 3

Jeff Hardy needs to prove himself to the WWE office before they let him run with the belt, once they can fully trust him THEN he will get the belt, And attaxwrongnes is right, i can't think of may people that have kicked out of the pedigree.
vogras 3 years ago 5
I don't like hhh but he deserves the belt till mania for all the guys he HAS moved up the card . To the jeff hardy fans the guy will not be a world champion because he is to much of a risk .
mikie1973 3 years ago
Tslay you're so right on this one. It was the same with this year's summerslam. I just think the IWC have an incredibly romanticised vision of what wrestling was like 7-10 years ago. This Summerslam was better than 98, much better than 99, on par with 2000, better than 01 but not as good as 02. This No Mercy was one of the best ones yet in terms of match quality; if you go back through time none of the other ones had 2 4*+ matches apart from 99.
macaskill87 3 years ago
I definitely think the last two matches saved the ppv.HHH winning at No Mercy doesn't bother me. I prefer Jeff Hardy to win it at a bigger PPV. The complaint I have with how HHH won was that it made it appear like nothing Hardy could have done would get him the win. Usually when a guy gets hit with a finisher and doesn't lose the pinfall, they slowly get back up and fight on. Instead HHH just rolled Hardy over like it was no big deal. Either way, I still don't think it was a burial or a bad ppv.
ratnick 3 years ago
Thats what I thought too I mean look at the Cena/Batista match from SS or any match between two big guys that goes over 10 minutes. Everbody kicks out of everbodys finisher. HHH didnt kick out of the Swanton and keep going he used a sneaky pin & won.
If HHH had kicked out & the match had gone another five minutes nobody would be talking about this. Especially if Jeff had won, even if HHH owned those extra five minutes & Jeff won with a jacknife I'm sure ppl would be saying HHH put Jeff over.
Nic1700 3 years ago
exactly.
ratnick 3 years ago
I think the reason people hate this so much is because of how much they don't like HHH. I don't really have a problem with it, I don't think Jeff Hardy would be a very good Champion, even though he's one of my favorite wrestlers. But I think that's where the problem is. HHH has been champion off and on now for around 10 years. I think people just want something new. And if that's not the reason why people are upset then I really don't know why they would be mad.
DolphinsNUM34 3 years ago
excellent vid, its true alot of people on here dont get the concept of putting over. like all the rants after the elimination chamber match and after the no mercy one. i mean triple h was still on the mat after the ending he didnt ridiculously celebrate or no sell hardys finishers and "hulk up."
attaxwrongnes 3 years ago
i thought for once in my life that HHH worked a great match with hardy. i just thought that the ending was a slight let down but i thought he put hardy over well and didnt bury him lik he usually does with his PPV oponents
zibzooster 3 years ago
As far as HHH goes, I don't think he buried Jeff. I just think he, or someone on creative, believe HHH's own hype.
As far as the ppv goes, maybe some people think that if a ppv doesn't have nothing but good matches, then they fail. If a few matches are bad, then the ppv was bad. Could be why some people said No Mercy sucked.
As far as internet fans never being happy, I think that's the case sadly. They always seem to bitch about one thing, then bitch about when what they want is done.
ShadowRowin 3 years ago 2
Perfect example is the Attitude era, and how people say why can't WWE be like it was then?Yet, when WWE tries some things they would do in the Attitude era, people bitch and say " they are just trying to recreate the attitude era. "
........ Isn't that what they wanted?
ShadowRowin 3 years ago 3
Lol-Tslay, I had the same idea right before watching this vid. The Triple H rants need to stop! When people like us talked about his politics, it made sense. Now people are complaining at Triple H all the time. I saw a video with HHH vs. Kenny Dykstra and people were bitching about politics. Do they really expect Triple H to loose cleanly to everyone? Hell; I would argue that HHH gave Hardy a rub in the chamber match.
crazymike1706 3 years ago 6
With no question, did you see the video spinnernet1 made, ranting about hhh super natural powers, omg its so stupid,or you have MBwrestler making a video, about how the bitching is now being defended,Monoxide rants how hhh burys, the longer we have fans like that in the IWC,no one is going to listen to us,the bitching is old now.
SweetNSourINC 3 years ago 2
MBWrestler's vid had a point to it! He was (as the title said) was defending why people were complaining about HHH and for the RIGHT reasons. Have you even watched the vid? My previous comment on the initial video regards Jeff's bad promo work. I'd like to see somebody convince me how Jeff has good promo skills, cause it ain't happening.
He's embarrassingly bad on the Mike, but he has other qualities. As an upper mid carder Jeff works best. The problem is the Smackdown roster is hurting for viable title contenders. If not Jeff then who? koslov? Triple H's title run's as dry as Melba toast been there done that didn't buy the T-shirt. Who's set to dethrone him?

I have never called myself a "smart fan" because I don't think many are, and most that do have read a few things then they know the business. I think I know a fair bit about wrestling after about 15years or so but I can tell through reading/watching reviews and forums online some people just assume they know all because they know the lingo. This specifically comes down to having the HHHaters (justified or not) who are also Hardy marks, so if Jeff lost they couldnt be happy. Were all marks!
Nule2k 3 years ago 2
I have enough hate to spread around ;}
TheRealParagon 3 years ago
This is a perfect example of fans trying to be "smart fans". It's cool to bash everything Triple H does so they think any match Triple H wins he buries them. Undertaker basically did the same thing at Wrestlemania when he put the gogoplata on Edge after the spear. But nobody complained about that. You know why? BECAUSE EDGE LOOKED STRONGER IN THE MATCH JUST LIKE JEFF HARDY.
smeefan 3 years ago 3
these last few months in TNA, since the week before slammiversey, Kaz's angle was hes so good and great but cant win the big matches, against petey, joe, as the leader of team tna, and a few more title matches, but he still looked great in every match, alot of people didnt even pick up on the losing streak, because each match he looked like the winner, he was being so hard on himself but no one was disappointed in him, everyone was shocked that he felt like shit, cause they saw him as the winner
MrPlatano1989 3 years ago 3
This has been flagged as spam show
dude im sorry but theres no excuse for HHH ignoring both of jeffs finishers and pinning him like nothing happen! he completely ignored the psychology by not selling those two moves. he did put over jeff this time, i can admit that, but with him doing that one thing, he ust made the whole thing look like it shoudn't of happened. its like a referee no selling a chair shot. it makes no sense. HHH should've stayed down for a bit to sell it, a 10 count, kicked out, then ended the match.
diddyman4real 3 years ago
You saw a diffrent match than i did then. This is what I saw. Jeff hit two finishers( when was the last time he won with the twist of fate?) He Laid across HHH and HHH then backslid him for the win..basicly selling the moves. If he didn't sell the moves then he woudl have kicked out gotten up and peddegreed Jeff like nothing had happend.
TSlay1974 3 years ago
you have a different interpretation of selling than i do then, because to sell the move if must make it look like it had some type of effect of rendering you immobile. i didn't see that kind of selling for jeff's moves, i seen jeff hit 2 finhishers, and HHH didn't even bother to do atleast the dignity of making his move look like did some type of damage, BEFORE the end of the match, not after it. but like i said, i agree with you of him putting jeff over.
diddyman4real 3 years ago
Give me a break. HE WON WITH A ROLL UP! THE SAME WAY JEFF BEAT TRIPLE H. It isn't like Triple H got up and Hulked up and hit him with 8 pedigrees then beat him. He beat him with a DESPERATION MOVE. I agree with u 100% tslay, when I watched the match and Triple H won, at first I was like "omg.. he won again.." but then I thought to myself "Fuck Hardy looked great in that match" I mean knowing Triple H and knowing how Jeff has fucked up in the past, there was no way Jeff was gonna come away with the strap, but at the same time HHH could of done alot worse to Hardy, he could of completely buried the fuck out of him, but in the end he didnt and still the IWC is pissed, weird..
sXeJca 3 years ago 2
Who're these phantom IWC masses that supposedly bitch about Jeff's lack of a title run? What I mean is that there are far more posts complaints regarding the IWC (which I mite add we are all apart of), then people complaining about that match. I really don't know why Tslay needed a secound video on this topic but hell why not. At least this one was more concise.
TheRealParagon 3 years ago
I am taking it you saw the match? Becouse he didn't really roll him over. Jeff was laying on him and he just did almost a big slide to him. With the way Jeff was laying it still looked like HHH was out of it.
TSlay1974 3 years ago
i really enjoyed no mercy, to me its like an 8.5, thing is, i felt that if the last 3 matches had different winners, wwe would have had alot of fans happy, and could've automatically beaten this sundays bound for glory before it even started, but even with the different results, the matches were incredible (last 2), and the storytelling has no competition at all, like u said, jeff was put over, kind of like kaz vs kurt after last years genensis, kurt had no offense, no chance, got his ass kicked
MrPlatano1989 3 years ago
then snuck away with the win, kaz was even signaling that kurt got lucky, it was great as hell, people dont know what they want most of the times, i litterly saw people that said they want punk to be champ, marked out when he won, next week said he doesnt look like a champ, not steroid up enough, but complain when vince wants people with muscles to be champ, imo, HHH made jeff look like the 2nd best guy on SD!, which means he looked better than edge, undertaker, and anyone else, which means...
MrPlatano1989 3 years ago
he could fued with these guys, look just as good with them, maybe sport a new attire or twist to his current, start building that main event veteran feel to him, like edge has after all these years, then he comes full circle and wins, because of this no mercy match, everyone knows he can do it, he just needs another chance which will come one day, with HHH as champ, he could look unstoppable cause of all the wins, but whoever gets close gets put over, that also builds whoever actually beats him
