The person in the vehicle had already shown that he had reckless disregard for the safety of the community. He DID back up and sideswipe one of the officers. The other officer was standing in front of the vehicle, and saw the perp trying to shift into drive. He had to shoot in order to stop the threat.

Haha I've read a lot on this vid and a got a couple of things myself to say. We all make decisions some good, some bad, and some being the worst. Based on the stress and the reality of the situation you may be entitled to do things u normally wouldn't(I.E kill that criminal in this cops case) The criminal was obviously wrong from running from he law and in the high speed chase endangering everyones lives but this cop really had no reason to shoot the man like he did.

The officers should have stayed in the car, and they should have done what they needed to do to block the back of the car against the car he hit in the neighborhood. As the officer had said it's the hardest thing he has ever had to deal with because of the choice he made to not use his car to his advantage in blocking the back of the car. Then the other officer should have gotten out and pulled his gun on him. Before they shot him, they put their self in danger and as a result they shot him.

I don't know, it didn't look to me like the guys life was in danger until he got out of his car. Maybe he should have stayed in the car until the chase was over and he wouldn't have had to kill the guy. Haha I've read a lot on this vid and a got a couple of things myself to say. We all make decisions some good, some bad, and some being the worst. Based on the stress and the reality of the situation you may be entitled to do things u normally wouldn't(I.E kill that criminal in this cops case) The criminal was obviously wrong from running from he law and in the high speed chase endangering everyones lives but this cop really had no reason to shoot the man like he did.

The officers should have stayed in the car, and they should have done what they needed to do to block the back of the car against the car he hit in the neighborhood. As the officer had said it's the hardest thing he has ever had to deal with because of the choice he made to not use his car to his advantage in blocking the back of the car. Then the other officer should have gotten out and pulled his gun on him. Before they shot him, they put their self in danger and as a result they shot him.

I don't know, it didn't look to me like the guys life was in danger until he got out of his car. Maybe he should have stayed in the car until the chase was over and he wouldn't have had to kill the guy. Even, after the officers were out of the car, they weren't in danger unless they wanted to be or put themselves in a dangerous proximity to the vehicle. I know that they can justify the shooting but I believe a lot of cops would have handled it differently.
