@thexerxes25 According to Jaime Lerner, they chose buses because compared to trams or a subway system, the combination of longer buses and bus only lanes could transport more passengers, the cost was 100-200 times cheaper than the other systems, and it could be implemented in less than two years. Check out the video "City of Dreams- Brazil" for his interview :)
@nostalgiamelancolia1,hello, my friend. So you are watching the videos that I liked. In fact Brazil is already the largest economy in "Latin America" and is between the 10 biggest in the world. Curitiba in the South is considered one of the best cities in Brazil, with good examples. See other videos about it.
Yet Curitiba has the biggest car fleet per inhabitant in Brazil (twice the national average).... but that's another problem down here, caused by something else.
I already went to this city and I can certainly testify that it is a combination of a modern city and well-developed green preserved parks. Once you get to know this city you will redefine your concept of living in a city where the nature is surrounding the new concepts of construction.
5:22 Que exemplo do cidadão lá, hein?? Maldito!

this is great but why not use trams or a light rail. they are cleaner and more energy efficient than buses that run on gas
