  • 3:18 Serge Gainsbourg :)

  • those who appreciate early Pink Floyd cannot hate Kaleidoscope

  • Always found it strange that they chose one of the least obviously commercial tracks from the album as a single. Great stuff though! Amazing to think stuff like this has suddenly been discovered.

  • It is France Gall!

  • Is the blonde girl France Gall????!!!!

  • This band was ahead of it's time...

  • Wow wow wow!!!!!!

  • Fantastic clip.

  • Help me to make my hair in his style! I need piece of advice from the professionals, lol'd

  • Unbelivible, a know an original LP in a shop i Stockholm, saw it 23 sept.

  • Amazing band, amazing shit.

  • Two great songs done under the best possible 60's conditions (except that it's lip-synched) AND France Gall? Sometimes youtube can really be rewarding.

  • this is the greatest thing ever! never seen them move before!!!!!

  • What a wonderful find. Thanks for sharing this footage

  • It is so sad that they look like Austin Powers, because this song is so awesome. But it is so cute how the singer is so shy. And the answer: "It just ends".

  • @aeropueroto It's so sad Austin Powers tried to look like them !

  • This track is "Flight From Ashiya" for those wondering what track is being performed here

  • For me, one of the best band in the fantastic psychedelic-swingin era.

The gorgeous Blonde here is FRANCE GALL (great female french singer) and the ugly man on the piano is the great SERGE GAINSBOURG.

  • Thanks a lot for share. Great band.

  • kaleidoscope+ serge gainsbourg- what a find ! god bless you and youtube!

  • Damn the little brunette in the background!!!

  • @generix83 she was in a couple ERIC ROHMER movies.

  • Iv'e been waiting all my life to see footage of the band( Well since i was 16 in 1992) but WOW!! I use to wear clothes similar to the guys in the mid 1990's which i bought from charity shops, needless to say i got a fair amount of abuse in the streets from Neds/Chavs LOL But who cares,i dig late 60's music/fashions & it was fun! wish i could have met some girls like the ones in the vid though.

  • Thanks so much for this ~ FANTASTIC. Trust Johnny F. to keep the tapes. Remember seeing Fairfield Parlour playing 'Bordeaux Rose' and/or 'Just Another Day' on TV, on Top Of Pops. The tapes must have been scrubbed ~ Blast the BBC!! Got to love the french for having attractive young girls posing around the set for no reason whatsoever. At least the band weren't flecked with black paint by Salvador Dali like Nirvana (UK) were.

  • Wow !! Amazing stuff ! thank you thank you !!

  • Thanks Pete (the vocalist in this clip) for your personal acount of this "happening". Nice.Although highly into psychedelics,at the time ,I was a latecomer to this band, via Mojo's "Acid Drops,Spacedust & Flying Saucers".

  • Thank you SO much for posting this video!

enjoy them along with mon petit France Gall.. If only the France Gall "Teenie Weenie Boppie"segment hadn't been cut out !!

I've been looking for Kaleidoscope ever since i discovered youtube !

    i'm speechless...

  • Wheeee, K footage! Holy grail is such an understatement! And what groovy clothes they have too (not to mention that wonderful guitar at the beginning)! Thanks so much for this gem :)

  • Amazing find! Never thought I'd see this band. I also see Serge Gainsbourg in the clip. What show was this from?

  • @Alquit4

french TV show "Le Petit Dimanshe Ilustry"

  • @hall9calation genius!

  • PETER DALTREY

One of our first outings under the new banner was to Paris to appear on a live TV show. Those frogs. We entered the studio to find ourselves in the midst of unorganised chaos. They complained about our frilly white shirts; too white for colour transmission. Suddenly we were dragged on set and we realised the show was on air. A group of guests sat on a sofa smirking at a tasty young girl; someone threw their arm in our direction and we grinned...

  • (PETER DALTREY continues)

... Then everyone began wandering around; we were off air. In fact we had to wait for hours for the real show. Ed fell over a cello and then we mimed expertly to the single and then we were in the street, in a taxi, in a plane and off home before you could say, `J`taime.`

    WAS THIS IN COLOUR THEN???

(Like those early Soft Machine clips on French TV)

  • @realdinho Those chicks are WAY BEYOND tasty!!

  • @Alquit4 Damn.... Amazing! I see even Serge Gainsbourg sitting at his piano. And the blonde girl is France Gall I presume. MADD!

  • A fantastic find. Wonderful stuff. Thanks.
