afaultytoaster, I must agree with you on your point, that an Japanese invasion of European front of Russia is absurd (with Manchukuo under Japanese control in 1932) we must remember that according to the story-line of RA1 and RA2 deals with time travel. So WWII as we know it never occurred. This includes Japan not conquering any territory outside of the home islands.

Why would the Japanese have to undertake a naval invasion of Russia if they already controlled Manchukuo by 1932? The idea of an amphibious invasion of the European front of Russia is absurd as the logistics of convoying supplies all the way around Africa (assuming the mediteranean is blocked by Britain in Suez and Gibraltar) would be impossible. The most likely location of an invasion would have been Mongolia, as border skirmishes historically occurred there.

While I do agree that an assualt of the European front would be absurd, I am confused as to what made you decide that this invasion was of the Soviet Union's western borders instead of its Pacific coastline. Are you making this judgement from this trailer or do you have auxillery information?
