  • 6.h3 to play Be3(else Ng4) and g4(stops f5). GM Suba played a lot of games with this move in the 80 s

  • Which two patzers disliked this vid?!

  • why would carlsen play a3 on move 6.?

    be2 is better?

  • Carlsen had in his mind to go on King side attack quickly. Thats why he later played b4. Be2 would have been better move if he would have prepared for King side castle.

  • @chazmaster1995

the power of the 2 knights and the 3 pawns in the center is very-very strong. and it gave him the advantage of Tempo in move g4 as you can see in 0:30; because he knew he'll have to put all of his forces on the opponent's king side and castle his king on the queen side.

i hope that i helped you.

  • @chazmaster1995

its h3 and its also good:)

  • I´m a chess noob. Could someone please explain why exactly topalov gave up? The material is equal, but i don´t see why carlsen has such a big advantage. I don´t see it

  • Topalov gave up the c file with his last move, and was going to be checkmated 3 moves later

  • @HeavyweightThinker

Next black move is irrelevent, he either gives up a full piece or does a nuthing move... White goes Rc7 (chk) Then black king has to back to 8th row, then White goes Queen f6 or h6 (depending if Black Rook has gone e6 or not), then, again, black is irrelevent, Queen goes g7 and its mate ...

    Cheers!!

  • Fun to see how a master does it

  • perfect speed. thanks!
