  • Beautiful tune!

  • I intend one day go to Europe to buy a Flamenco Guitar.

Could give me some tips to it?

  • @Kevenre sorry I have no idea, I have never had a flamenco guitar!

  • @Kevenre A flamenco guitar is the same as a classical guitar. The strings would have lighter tension on them, but tuned the same. You should get the lightest gauge of nylon strings you can find. Flamenco is a specific style of music that needs the "bang" of light gauge.

  • @JFAcoustic

A "real Flamenco Guitar" also has a somewhat hardened corpus sometimes even with some kind kind of plastic shield fixed to it so that you can make percussive sounds on that. So you can not say they are totally the same although there are indeed "Flamenco string sets" for the classical guitar.

But except for that I agree. They are almost the same and you can perfectly well play Flamenco on a good classical guitar... (:

  • @LukasVideosify The difference is on the wood, as for a flamenco guitar they use ciprus wood as it is louder then the others they needed it so cover the dancers and they are very loud. With other wood it would not been possible. Also the srings are 1 mm closer to the neck on the 12th fret so you can get a harser sound and also it is easier to play on it. The plastic that they stick on it called golpe.

  • @csybu

Ah, thank you! I don't play the guitar that often anymore but it's still nice to know. :-)
