everyone uses dlonz?! all you need is rei's agi 100+ for the container yard with chain formation and everyone gets an extra turn granted you're def is chopped in half but that doens't matter for those battles

i've beaten this guy its easy you just have to transform into kaiser form then focus 5 or more time then use shadowwalk dont worry if he kills both of your team he will just use benediction

The reason he never replenished was because of rei's speed. Later in the game, he always gets an extra turn.

I just beat both the archmage and the berserker with ryu, rei and peco (lv 45, 43and 43). Was kind of easy since my ryu had 478 Pwr and 136 Agi (Ex turn).

- The reason the guy in the video is using D'lonzo ought to be due to the bonus effects in suprise, dodge and accuracy (not written when you apprentice but it's there. Same as the fact that willpower isn't displayed. I'd use D'lonzo too if I cared to level to 99.. Not worth it before then imo). =)

hm, I cant beat this guy, but my characters are around level 30-35, and I couldn't even kill that guy with an hourglass (even when using ultimate kaiser) but ryu was apprenticed to meryleep, which does lower strength but not by much, I wonder if using elemental weapons affects anything, I wonder only because I was using ryus second best weapon the royal sword at the time (I do suppose I had nina in my party not rei)

Hmmm... I usually hunt ArchMages for fun and kill them way quicker without transforming. I'm at level 80 and obviously stat-boosted, but I've been doing that for a few levels already. ;P Same goes for Berserkr. (Though, it's usually shorter to transform when killing Berserkr. I can down him by the third turn.)

dude there are two ways to get the Royal sword. A guy lost it in the desert and you have to go backwards the way he told u to find it. and he lost the life armor in there. You can also get them both by Fishing. Go to where you first came over on the Black Ship. You have to cetch a whale and 2 sword fish i think. Then cetch that turtle thing and there you go. If you dont have the Deep diver then its in the steel grave(i think thats the name of the place)

i have a ninja with 999 int and my ryu has 500 attack and he owns but what you really need to do is :o transform into a mammoth fighting a archmage he uses vitalize on you and heals you all the time :o kinda weard but if your mammoth has bunch of hp and he does more then 1500 damage then this is a easy way to defeat an archmage ^^

my characters at lvl 99 were much stronger.. with swallow eyes power food etc ryu'spower was something like 700. and i had a hundred hp more than you. if you want to increase your pwr steal pwr food from nightbats in the final stage. in the same place you find goo king.

Ever heard of duplicating the stat boosting items, like Moxa, Swallow Eye, Power Food, etc... using the copy shop in the faerie village? It's called being smart, not cheating.

In addition all the stat items can be gotten in the faerie village gift shops, so if you set all of your faeries, not counting the food gatherers, to gift shop, you can time it right to get the stat up item of your choice (saving before you enter and checking it to see where it's at on the gift time scale). They aren't that bad. Duplicating the ThunderRing you get is also a nice help to deal with Myllonir.

Also, Warrior >> Kaiser. Two focuses with aura can be much more effective than shadowwalk kaiser. Also more AP conservative for longer battles. The main advantage is you can pick an elemental type for Warrior and not Kaiser. Thunder based Warrior form owns on Archmage. Some war shouts and focuses followed by aura can wreck. Although, I do enjoy this vid. If you farm enough stat up's you can kill anything, but a good strategy like this is always fun to watch :)

Being of level 99 doesn't do much. The stat gains around the 50+ levels are so horrible, it hardly seems worthwhile to get there especially since it's so DIFFICULT to get to level 99 normally. Still, using the masters properly can prove very useful. Also, one more note, having 999 strength doesn't do a lot either. Yeah it's better than 200, but you still won't be able to break to 2000 damage from a normal attack. Has anyone ever gotten 9999 damage? I think that's the cap.

I think it depends on what master you have. I know there are masters that only level up on stats rather than hp or ap and some that can stop hp and ap all together. You have to do it because some masters have some of the greatest skills but terrible stat upgrades.

I think you can beat them at a lower level than that. I remember beating them at level 60. I rarely transform with Ryu because I had such a low AP count but I'll admit that I used Rei's transform to beat Beserker, but Arch Mage is easy once you're up there!

ok even if this video is messed up, killing arch mage without transforming is easy i did when my chars were lv 44-45, i just war shout about 5 times then super combo with garr then do a shadowwalk with rei and that killed em, did 2400 somethingwith super combo :D

Actually, the ArchMage has 80 of Agl, so his Ryu and his Rei has more than 160 AGL (the double of 80, so he gets ExTurns, but no with Garr), just a little info, Berserker has 60, GooKing has 70 of AGL...so with 180AGL you get ExTurns with ALL enemies...including Myria of couse...;)

'gatewayg6350' The Archmage didn't regenerate because of Ryu and Rei's EX turn. At level 50 on, your teammates score very little stat gains, so the stats DO add up with the exception of the Faerie's gift shop and copy shop ("farming" stat boosters). The Ivory Charm is obtainable through the long distance exploration in your Faerie Village.

learn it from the vampires in the deeper part of myria station, they are the harder ones, they appear with mist knights and such, they use it sometimes.
