  • lol bow tie

  • Tucker Carlson is a dick.

  • did tucker ever wear a bow tie again.

  • kavalere, you do know this was when bush was in office, right

  • Arrrgh, my poor eyes ans ears. Who the hell let that babbling fool out of the nursery? And sorry Jon, but how can he be 'dickish' without one? He's like PeeWee Herman as Pinocchio and finally became a real boy...Tucker, I can see why you spend so much time fretting about attacks on your non-existent masculinity.

  • Jon Stewart needs to do another segment on that idiot Tucker Carlson after posing as Keith Olbermann just days ago via email.. what a loser he is!! Even if folks dont like Olbermann.. if Tucker had done this to any journalist or News Host.. it should be treated the same.. Olbermann should sue.. I doubt any person would like someone else posing as them that could have them lose their job and try to ruin their credibility in their line of work in any field that is made public for you to get fired!

  • tucker is a homo and an idiotic one at that too.. jon owned him..

  • @kavalere First off, comics don't care if "their" president is failing.

Their business is in the president and all the political goons plaguing our country failing and providing the humor.

  • tuckers laugh seems so contrived, body language is unconfortable and is jumpy throughout. he clearly felt intimidated.

  • this was lame. i thought it was supposed to be jon whooping up on tucker, or tucker destroying jon. There was hardly a debate just a bunch of silly words coming out of jon stewart's mouth and some logical points from tucker. there was one thing from jon stewart that was legit and respectable and thats that who cares if his show is asking too easy of questions, he's on comedy central that's not really his job. BUT he definitely didnt win that, but there wasn't really anything to win.

  • im glad tuckers off the air

  • Rape.

  • tucker carlson is a fucking idiot

he clearly doesnt have any idea what hes doing

  • @kakaownz I simply chose yours because you seem like one of the inane sheep that would hit and run a sort of reply without having any facts or background. Tell me, how is Tucker an idiot - go ahead and Wikipedia it, explain.

  • @TheOpprobrium I disagree with a number of Carlson's views and I think he carries himself like a jerk, but he is not an idiot. He is probably more intelligent and more successful than most of the people who post here. Remember folks: Rational debate.

"I disagree with your views, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler" :P

Now Sarah Palin is actually an idiot who is unqualified for office, but that's another question altogether.

  • What debate? This is mostly just John Stewart, very contentiously trying to define political spin as "dishonest arguments".... I'm not sure what point he actually makes though. All I see is a guy who went on a show trying to pick a fight with Tucker Carlson and succeeding without actually making any valid points.

  • Do you know whats interesting jon? I do think your more fun on your show.. Jon stewart: Well I think you're as big of a dick on your show. LOLOLOLOLOL

  • How did Tucker get "owned". Stewart (real name, what, Lobewitz or something?) Is a left-wing hack, and wanna be comedian (I did not think we was funny even before the Daily Show). He is not always wrong, and he has ever right to pick on the right-wingers, but Tucker didn't vote for Bush, and didn't support the War in Iraq and suddenly he is the "right wing" nut job poster boy?

  • @ScottMacFie The Daily Show is funny, and so was his standup. I think this interview made some good points. Specifically, giving left and right spin doesn't necessarily lead to the truth. Read "Politics and the English Language" by George Orwell. It's short and brilliant.

  • Action is always faster than reaction. Sure, Stewart looked like he was on top of these guys. He planned to attack, and the other guys were just reacting. He caught them off guard.

  • @theadmiralburns This was like shooting fish in a barrel for Jon, i've never seen people squirm so much, they hung themselves for sure. To say they were reacting is just lame. They got their asses handed to them, practically by their own hands.....Sad and then some.

  • Comment removed

  • Jesus, Stewart owned these guys...I almost felt bad for them....except that John was right and these guys got exposed!

  • @aaronmd50

    "I'm comedy , it doesn't matter what I do"?

Yeah man so is SNL, yet no politician wants to get a bad skit there either. Its a pretty naive argument that he doesn't hold any water and thus shouldn't question seriously.

That being said none of these three are impressive.

  • that ended his career on crossfire

  • That Tucker guy is such a poor debater. Couldn't help but cringe when he had to resort to weak insults instead of convincing points.

  • @avitty

Tucker didn't show up for a debate, but Stewart planned to attack.

  • @theadmiralburns @theadmiralburns Tucker didnt show up for a debate on the show --Crossfire--? I believe thats the main point of the show---Debate--- Also, please cite reference/s to support your claim that Stewart "...planned to attack" (perhaps a quote from Jon stating so.) other wise, perhaps you think you are God, knowing the hearts and mind of all.

  • jon stewart awesome smart man. your 35 wearing a bow tie hahaha

  • Amazing. Jon had such a vision, and yet now we only have 'partisan-hack networks.' How things have changed...for the worst...

  • text book definition of an asskicking.

  • soccerwez1, you are a monumental tool of epic proportions and you should really just set yourself on fire if you even for a nano-second consider defending your butt-body Tucker....

  • jon stewart kicks ass, he's got that fucker's own audience against him.

  • tucker's such a douche. as can be seen at around 5 minutes.

  • Marry me? Jon, please, please, marry me. xD

  • i am jon stewart.

  • Tucker is drowning and begging for help

  • This is a classic!

  • 35 years old, and wears a bow tie..lol

  • CNN fuck your selves. You assholes are horribly lying and misinterpreting news.

  • What did that tool say to which John Stewart replied, "You need to go to one". I couldn't hear it.

  • he said you need to get a job at a journalism school

  • bitter, party for one, that's your table!

  • why not? fox/cnn just spew biased bullshit, why not get a laugh out of it.

  • I love Jon Stewart!

  • Stewart's comments were right on the mark. And although they appeared to be aimed at Carlson, in reality, they are against the current political system.

I think Stewart would be a great spokesman for campaign reform. Brilliant, insightful commentary in this clip.

  • Jon Stewart is the hottest guy on TV.

  • he totalllllly is.

plus he's smart, so man. wow.

  • tuckers such a arrogant prick

he reminds me of a serial killer

  • Someone needs to tighten that bow tie.

  • Jon Stewart is just simply the best!

  • Tucker Carlson fails so hard.

  • This was awesome. Jon Stewart owned that Tuckers ass. 35 year old with a Bow tie. Hilarious!

  • Great!

  • Crossfire is gone, Jon Stewert lives on!

  • That Tucker guy should really relax a little bit. If Crossfire were that important, it would still be on tv. I like the fire in Stewart's eyes... too bad he doesn't have a book to publisize, because I'd like to see him hit the circuit again... funny shit for sure XD

  • Tucker didn't seem very prepared. One moment he's complaining about Stewart not being serious enough - once Steward gets serious Tucker gets pretty uncomfortable and complains about Stewart not being funny. Hard to hold a debate when you're simply reacting to what other say without thinking about the topic at hand.

  • Jon Stewart is so smart. They thought lets bring him on here, it'll be good, he'll be funny. But he totally owned them! He is really a witty guy.

  • THIS WAS GREAT. THANK JON.

  • That was deliciously enjoyful.

  • fym. The point is that the Cable Network News channel (CNN) should have a teensy bit more 'News' than COMEDY CENTRAL! for God's sake.

Just because you have a person 'from each side' doesn't mean it's 'balanced'. That just means you're giving as much time to the guy who's an idiot as you are to the guy who's brilliant.

All of the 'analysts' on the networks are now simply partisan shills. Three for one guy and three for the other... That's not balance. That's laziness.

  • Stewart is acerbic. These guys think they're serious.

  • And Crossfire is no longer on the air, how appropriate.

  • jon powned him.

    if that makes any sense.

  • it's "pwned"

wow, you messed up a meme.

  • jon stewart>tucker

  • Hasn't Tucker been cancelled? He got his just rewards. The vicious so-called "Right" attack dogs will get theirs in the end. From Savanarola to il Duce, to McCarthy, they all fall from their high horse eventually.

  • You may have some sort of magic power since u know what Jon Stuart is thinking, since u "know" "Stuart thinks the world is a joke". He his workin on comedy central in t name of god that is his job. Just listen to Jon during this vid he is exremely intelligent, and I doubt he believes every single thing in this word is a joke but humor can make u think more of certain issues than just sayin it. When you laugh you are thinking "why am I laughing" and the issue can be debated in more serious shows

  • It's admirable that you have the awareness to consider such a possibility (there are more than enough people who don't) but just because something is plausable, does not mean it's fact. They all have agendas, but I find him to be pretty genuine and his methods more of a way of connecting to a greater audience than the sinister workings of a sly, crooked man. You're entitled to your beliefs though.

  • i respect the fact that you look past jon's charisma and generally likability, but what you're saying is a pile of horseshit, sorry.

  • Ok "kid"

you sound like a credible source

  • the world is one big joke.

we're at a war over myths and childrens stories. that's fucking funny.

  • fuck Tucker

    Tucker sucks......... George Carlin

  • Crossfire got cancelled because Jon pwned them. That's just awesome.

"you are partisan, ..., what do you call them, ..., hacks"

  • That dude with the bow tie got owned

  • "you need to get a job at a journalism school"

"you need to go to one!"

    LMAO

  • This has very little to do with Stewart and everything to do with the hypocrisy prevalent in todays "unbiased" media.Stewart has no obligation to hide his bias. His show could be called the "Pinko,Gay,Abortionist Fun Land" and he still would not be held to the same standards of integrity other "serious" news outlets should be held.Carlson accuses him of being a suck up whilst Stewarts contention was that the show panders to politicians and their agendas.Calling Carlson a dick was justified.

  • and god bless him for it

  • Why is Tucker complaining that he doesn't ask hard enough questions?? His show is not a real news show. It's a fucking comedy show!!

  • Man, I can't stand Tucker. I'm soooo glad he lost that lame ass show of his on MSNBC.

  • OMG -

i spilled my coffe ...FUNNY S&^T

This is my #1 right next to the bill moyers and the Faux lunatic ambush video.

when jon asked tucker how old are you, he should never answer that.(oooooH)

you are 35 and you are wearing a bowtie.

HE KILLED THE GUY AND HIS SHOW

  • did he just say left vs white....talking about a Freudian slip

  • lol...i know.

  • jon def did NOT get owned! Jon annhilated this two... lmao i wouldn't show my face for a while if i was whupped as bad as these two.

  • Haha, 2 vs 1 on your own show and you lose horribly and have the audience applauding John.

  • you are 35 and you are wearing a bowtie

  • aspetwhy, you are insane. did you hear the audience? they backed john stewart the whole time. tucker is a little panzy and i guarantee that after this episode the ratings probably dropped enough to cancel the show.

  • MSNBC JAN 15 2004-"Hardball" to "Hannity & Colmes," and even moving "Crossfire" to a live audience at George Washington University did little to stem its declining ratings. The show, which now averages 450,000 viewers, lost its luster when it was cut from 60 to 30 minutes and moved from its 7 p.m. slot to 4:30.

  • Really? thats why the show was canceled soon after John went on, you must be sniffing gas if you think they made John Stewart look bad.

  • Where exactly are either of these fools now? and where is John Stewart? So unless you want to post ratings for the show I am not gonna buy at, at any rate it was the nail in the coffin for a piece of crap partisan circus show that was only entertaining to idiotic, narrow minded gits like yourself, so go tune in Rush or O'Reilly or any other right wing machine mouthpiece, with the mind of a bitter simpleton these moronic broadcasts are just what you need to reinforce your twisted views.

  • jon made carlson look like the spoiled, mamas boy that he is...what were you watching?!

  • clearly aspetwhy you did not see the video I just saw... where stewart tore the other guys up from head to toe

  • Watch from 12:40 on... Stewart "I don't think it's difficult, its just that they don't have their feet held to the fire. They get to come on shows like..."{deer in headlights look} Tucker " Shows like yours where you ask them easy questions like how are you holding up?" OWNED!!!!

  • he's a comedy show on COMEDY CENTRAL... THEY (TUCKER AND WHATEVER) are on CNN... theyre supposed to be a news channel... this should be very simple to understand

  • well whatever your twisted viewpoint is... that is not how I and the majority of people saw it... its a comedy, try to say this with me now... the obligation of a comedy show is to make people laugh... the obligation of a news show is to inform people of the news... you might have to look up the words in the dictionary or something because your viewpoint is certainly skewed...

  • LMAO Crossfire was a news show???????!!!!! It was a political debate show! ROFLMAO... You sipping on grandpa's cough syrup or what?

  • its a news station vs a comedy station... yes cnn is a news station... and youve gotta be crazy if you call what they were doing a DEBATE... a debate would be nice

  • Now your just Plagiarizing Stewart.

  • Definitions of debate * argue with one another; "We debated the question of abortion"; "John debated Mary" * consider: think about carefully; weigh; "They considered the possibility of a strike"; "Turn the proposal over in your mind" * argument: a discussion in which reasons are advanced for and against some proposition or proposal; "the argument over foreign aid goes on and on" * discuss the pros and cons of an issue * argue: have an argument about something

  • his point was that its not honest... im not plagiarizing anyone im simply stating the facts... anyway it doesnt matter how you want to twist it... its CNN vs COMEDY CENTRAL???? really? are you really trying to hold them to the same standards and obligations?

  • clearly he did not youre just stubborn and or stupid

  • You are an absolute moron. Crossfire got CANCELLED after this, as a result of the verbal pwnage that Stewart handed to both fake hosts. Clearly his points went way over your simple head, CNN is designed by the politicians as is Fox News.

  • i am not sure many people realize this.

  • "There's nothing more dangerous than a resourceful idiot."

    ~unknown

  • Actually you know what, you belong on whatever side Tucker is on, with all the other lame bow-tie wearing republican shit stains.

  • Whoa...let's not get personal.

  • Too far? Sorry...

  • lol...I am not sure you got the point of that video! Maybe you should watch it again.

  • wow tucker and paul are fuckin stupid... they dont know how to listen worth shyt. and if they are gonna have jon on there show they should atleast let him finish a sentence without them interupting.

  • Did Jon really call him a dick on his own show? Ha!

  • "You know what's funny? You're as big a dick on this show as you are on any show!" ... Tucker Carlson, the little bow-tied richie-rich kid from La Jolla, laughs lamely. Very hilarious.

    Sometimes there is a God.

  • Ding! Dong!

The (crossfire) witch is DEAD! And Jon Stewart killed that farce of a political "debate" show.

    Good riddance.

  • This; and Colbert at the Washinton Corrospondents Dinner on C-span was the greatest use of Television EVER!

  • Tucker just doesn't get that the Daily Show is a COMEDY show. He is not supposed to ask pointed, thought-provoking questions, and if they are using Comedy Central as the model of news integrity, then we are in trouble.

  • I hadn't seen the whole part of this show just the time he told Tucker he wears a bow. It's good to see Jon trash these people, they were such tools.

  • I actually don't think Jon argues as aggressively as he wants to - he does it in the form of beging them to stop - which is funny! - but he really wants to get into the detail about how the show is encoraging real debate and analysis and political scrutiny, like say Question Time. His job is to tell jokes, anything else is a bonus - he's doing his job, why can't they do theirs? (Sorry, I mean past tense. And Tucker's a cunt.)

  • 630! lmfao hilarious

  • How old are you?

    35

    And you wear a bowtie.

    OWNED

  • Omg this is the best i hate the tucker's ass after what he said about obama

  • Jon destroyed crossfire. they have no idea. its like saying "hey, whoa. why aren't you being serious Robot Chicken." they couldn't make Jon look bad in any way from the moment Jon said his first word on this. this was the only crossfire i have ever been interested in.

  • And you clearly don't know a thing about Jon and what satire is. you can't do satire without knowing a LOT about politics and other social issues. when it comes to politics (and many other subjects) Jon is a genius. you'll notice the older guy got quieter and quieter, unlike junior bow tie who didn't know when to stop talking as he made crossfire look worse and worse.

  • frank zappa's appearance in 86' is pretty good too.

  • tucker is a rascist and a dumb#$#

  • Tucker Carlson is a complete and utter moron. He would be the one person in the Demetri Martin crowd that doesn't understand a joke.

  • tucker, unfortunately is still employed, and is still spewing his nonsense crap on tv...Jon hasn't mentioned him on his show in a long time, and I wish he would rip into that asshole occasionally, tucker is literally a goldmine of hypocrisy.

  • I disagree. There are many smart persons that subscribe to a liberal philosophy of government as well as those who are conversative. Your judgement on governments in past 2000 years is bleak. Governments (our modern representative democracy) are active instruments for good. The regulation of commerce, public projects (rural electrification, highways, bridges, dams, internet, etc)been catalysts for economic growth and emergence of new markets. These tasks were accomplished where free markets failed.

  • You are a narrow-minded idiot.

  • Bill Clinton was a Rhodes scholar.

Geore W. Bush barely passed a written apitude test with 25% percentile for the National Air Texas Guard.

Characterizing half the nation as being intellectually superior to the other is just mindnumbingly dumb. Besides, aren't most creationists conservatives? (BTW I'm not a democrat but if they are dumber at least they aren't quite as evil)

  • I don't think the issue is over the validity of either philosophy or tucker being a turd; I think the point of it is that these people are so concerned about scoring points that they don't allow themselves to ENGAGE in a real debate. They end up playing a sad game of dozens; deflecting, twisting, and misrepresenting. The last thing they leave room for is any kind of reasonable discourse. It's like watching bickering gradeshcoolers.

  • In your comment you noted your conclusions about the validity of two broad political philosophies, then insulted people who would disagree. Do you honestly expect any serious person to be swayed by what you wrote? Is that really how you want to represent yourself and your ideas? I'm sure you have more to offer than that. You made what a debater would call a 'polarizing statement'. Speaking as a conservative and based on your level of sophistication, I would not want you on the debate team.

  • Right, because the George Bush administration is the epitome of the least amount of government intervention.

  • Tucker the tool! wHERE IS HE NOW?

  • the new season "a daily show" proves you wrong.

    fail.

  • Tucker is an idiot. I don't think Tucker has a sense of humor. Or if he does then its not very sophisticated... probably limited to knock-knock jokes and silly children's jokes involving puns and other play on words. Jackass. Jon was so funny... he kept having to remind Tucker that his show was comedy show on an all comedy channel... not real journalism. He just throws manipulative rhetoric at people in polarizing arguments.

  • Think about it, as Jon says---In this "democracy" we're forcing on others, the only candidates who feel or are "allowed to speak freely" are the ones "who know they can't win"!

  • Yes, playing cruel and brutal games of semantics in an effort to further polarize a nation that is so devided that it's tearing apart homes, is a gooood thing. I see.

  • NICE!

  • John rocked both morons ! GO JOHN!!!

    PEOPLE 1 , CORRUPTS 0

  • the truth hurts...

  • lmao Tucker was PISSEd! High larious

  • OWNAGE

  • Tucker's a dumbass.

  • I definitely agree. I bet his sense of humor is limited to knock-knock jokes and cheesy puns.

  • Yah Johnny!!

  • we don't pay well but you can sleep at night!was good answer from Jon

  • "It's quite obvious jon has a higher iq than either of them, and the studio audience knewï
