My old dad served 33 years as a RMP and was proud of his red beret up until the day he passed away,his grandson(my son) now has it in pride of place alongside grandads medals in his bedroom,men and women of high moral standing they all are and a shining example to us all,im always proud to say my dad was a monkey and instilled his best bits in me,a vastly undersung corp doing a very difficult job,my thoughts are with you all serving,come home safe.

I am currently a serving Military Police Officer and im confident enough to say that 90% of those images are nothing to do with the Military Police. Guards being petrol Bombed, Scots on Ireland patrol, Royal Artillery holding a Union Flag, 9/12 Lancers on Iraq Patrol. Very disappointing. Could have done much better with this video to really show what our boys have sacrificed .
Good effort. I'm ex RMP and knew one of the guys featured in the pics who was killed on duty. It's a nice tribute but the music is just terrible. Sorry to sound like Simon Cowell but it's completely the wrong choice - Lives get lost which is always sad, but those of us alive are very proud... So I'd prefer to hear 'proud' music, not wrist slashing Kate bloody Bush! Anyway, like I said, good effort even though it doesn't really capture the whole history. Cheers.

it sickens me to see some of the comments on this video, my dad was an RMP sergeant and was in the army for 22 years. Having grown up in army life, I have utmost respect for the soldiers and their families who travel the world with them.
I'm not usually one to raise an issue on immigration, but if certain people have sick comments to make, then maybe they should head back to their country of origin, either that or respect the countrya dn culture they chose to move in to.

A word of warning. When I joined we were asked "Who are the smartest soldiers in the Army" and we all said "The Guards". NO! The RMP are the smartest as we can't pull a Guardsman about his bearing or state of uniform is we are a mess.
So Google 'How to join the Royal Military Police' and look for the MOD website for the RMP.

This is the problem with people in the Army - they demand respect but give none in return. They think we owe them something. We don't.

I dislike the way these people are portrayed as "heroes" when ultimately they are fighting a completely pointless war that has nothing to do with the UK. Furthermore, thanks to their presence in Afghanistan, we face a domestic terrorist threat like never before.

People seem too think RMP are just normal police with weapons. RMP are not ordinary, they are special, they go too war as other soldiers do and they face problems as other soldiers do. it sickens me to see some of the comments on this video, my dad was an RMP sergeant and was in the army for 22 years. Having grown up in army life, I have utmost respect for the soldiers and their families who travel the world with them.
I'm not usually one to raise an issue on immigration, but if certain people have sick comments to make, then maybe they should head back to their country of origin, either that or respect the countrya dn culture they chose to move in to.

A word of warning. When I joined we were asked "Who are the smartest soldiers in the Army" and we all said "The Guards". NO! The RMP are the smartest as we can't pull a Guardsman about his bearing or state of uniform is we are a mess.
So Google 'How to join the Royal Military Police' and look for the MOD website for the RMP.

This is the problem with people in the Army - they demand respect but give none in return. They think we owe them something. We don't.
If, however, they were fighting for a worthwhile cause that benefited this country, then I would respect them for it. I respect the ones who went to Northern Ireland, because that actually meant something.

In what way are they "heroes"? Nothing they are doing in Afghanistan is benefiting this country whatsoever. As I said earlier, the war in Afghanistan is only making Britain more unsafe because of the growth in domestic terrorism.
