Does the Hurom Juicer do Wheatgrass & Banana Ice Cream, #278

I found that when I add a little water after the juicing, dark green water continues to come out, and it prompts the pulp to pop out (or poop out, as I say, haha). I like to squeeze out all the nutrients I can! Thanks for the banana idea...I'm going to try it although a food processor works as well.

This would make or brake my purchase of the Hurom over the Breville. I was reading the description of the new model (3rd generation) and it says that frozen foods will put stress on the strainer. Was this always the case before, but it still worked out? Also, does this void the warranty?

be wary, word round the camp fire is Huroms 100 customer service is really bad, the sieve part is poorly made and breaks readily and this device does not cope well with GREEN vegetables. Also, juicing carrot leaves alot of mush in with your juice and you cant shove them in like you see usually on vids without the sieve breaking.

I'm ordering a Hurom and I can't wait for it to arrive! I'm concerned though, I really want to try doing the banana ice cream thing, although I'm afraid I may break the machine. :(

Maybe it will be ok if I cut the bananas in small pieces and make sure it's not rock solid frozen prior to me putting it down the chute?

OMG! I have been craving banana but all my bananas are frozen! I am so going for the sludgy slodge bodge! I am going to use the little yellow cap to close the pulp side and have ALL the ice cream goodness come out as a fat thick bodge on the juice side. YUM!!

lol. I'm with Matt, I have never tolerated Wheat Grass before. The smell of it makes me nauseous, but i can eat spirulina, green barley, kale & dandelion juice, chlorella any day. It tastes sweet to me too. These video demonstrations are very helpful. THANK YOU!!

if wheatgrass comes out comes out that "espumante" (foamy) that tells you that the heat toke a lot of the nutrients of the grass... so this juicer good for banana ice cream BUT NOT so good for Wheatgrass.

Was the coarse screen damaged after doing frozen bananas? Do you have to have a screen in there for doing frozen bananas? I think some juicers offer a blank screen for that.

The Hurom juicer is awesome. I ordered it about a month ago from The Raw Food world. Its very easy to clean compared to other machines and works great. On a side note does anyone know how to reduce the amount of foam when juicing wheatgrass? Lately, I seem to be getting much more foam than I used to and it doesn't seem any different wheather I use the Hurom or my manual hand crank juice still a lot of foam then I am use to having.

I have been told to put the top end of the Wheatgrass into the juicer first, not the roots first because apparently we get more juice out of the Wheatgrass that way....I don't know, just what I had been told.

NO way am I going to throw out my Green Star!! My hubby just bought me one for this Christmas and I CAN'T WAIT to get my hands on it although there is no harm in having two or three juicers and I will buy a Hurom ALSO!! I already have a Samson..teehee now a GS also..yeehaa

It's the exact same juice made in the same factor in Korea! check out youtube user's rawfoods' comparing the 2. I bought the hurom cuz its lower in price. if it breaks 10 year warranty just like omega...plus the part should hurom not survive can just be bought from omega!
