When I got to my folder on the Astro & tried to install the Modaco r14 a message displayed saying "there is a problem parsing the package" So why can't I install it?

HTC Desire Z I did temporary root and it slowed down like it had 200MHz processor:O i tried to reboot me phone and it was very fucking slow! every sec it was stucking! for my goodluck 3-4 minutes after the reboot come back to normal!

I get the same problem as many people here did before: Visionary doesn't seem to work. The screen turns black and nothing happens; the phone slows down a lot. I tried rebooting, but nothing fixed. I finally uninstalled the application, but I can't go on with the tutorial without the temporary rooting. Any help, please?

@TechSaviSolution im having a problem rooting my desire z using visionary+. The app installs all fine, but after the temproot process 1. It doesnt reboot 2. when I reboot myself, it goes all laggy and stuff. when I first pressed the temproot now button, I left it for about an hour or so, and nothing happened. I wont get any superuser permissions on my phone, which is really killing me bad. Could you offer some advice please?

I was doing well until the temp. rooting. After I launched it, I was sent to a black screen. It did nothing for a long time, so I turned it off. Then tried to reroot it, but it wouldn't let me launch the app. Now my device is really laggy. Can you help me please?

Same problem here. JUst uninstall visionary and reboot you phone again that should the lag. But as for the root, its not working for me either .

@onetwogroove Yeah, I did that. It's running fine now, still unrooted. I went to a phone repair store and ask them to root my phone. Apparently, they couldn't because I already updated to Gingerbread. :/

you can do all this from the phone as long as you have astro file manager, all you have to do is go into settings and allow browser downloads

I did a slightly different way of installing but your code was spot on. Everything in your video matched up except the rotary unlock. For some reason the old pattern lock when disable its self. I was going to buy the G2 LX. Fat chance now! Got new interface, speed and I get to keep my keyboard.

I think this will not work. They release a 2.2.1 that destroy any root. T_T' No wonder I can't root my Desire Z. I did exactly what the vid say.

When I tried to download Visionary from the link under the description my antivirus found a trojan!!!!!!

@TechSaviSolution Its cool I realized the ragecage trojan thats identified by antivirus scanners is actually good not bad and you should ignore the antivirus. Everything went well and my computer is perfectly fine. I'm flashed to a Htc sense UI gingerbread rom now. Its nice..so funny that they update the g2 today when I got fed up and rooted and flashed last night finally. Its cool though because my rooted custom rom is wayyyyy better. Plus I can take screenshots which is a big deal too haha

@littlerayray77 If you're using a PC, it detects the VISIONary app as a Trojan, because it makes the OS vulnerable (Just like what real viruses do to PCs) IN ORDER TO root it. It's the main reason why most people have trouble rooting their phone, because their AntiVirus program either automatically deletes it, or informs the user, and the user deletes it, thinking it's a virus, but isn't. VISIONary's completely safe.

On my Desire Z I'm just getting a black screen when VISIONary is running. I've got USB tethering on and I have fast boot off like it specifies. What am I doing wrong? :/

You're not doing anything wrong as far as I can tell, I get the same issue, moreover I am now stuck with Visionary+ on my phone, trying to get the damn thing off... must be the ROM for Desire Z is slightly different and doesn't allow for this temprooting method to work. I'll let you know if I find an alternative, but given that I'm currently looking at my Astro uninstall screen and have been for 10+ minutes without Visionary+ actually getting removed, I'm a bit apprehensive now.
