Lift is the hight which a cam lobe raises a lifter. duration depends on the opening ramp and opening flank on the camshaft to get your number of degrees of crankshaft travel when the valve is of the seat. now you are the dumb ass.

maxou5757 - I agree and funny thing is quattro is more effective in bad weather than X-drive because doesn't have to wait for the computer to think. In the dry Acura's SH-AWD is good from a technical standpoint - but Acura's chassis and suspension tuning (handling-wise) don't match Audi's in terms of dynamic ability. So overall I would agree that quattro is the best because of how it performs in a performance and safey means. Now on the RS5 Audi updated it again.

yeah, SAWC hasn't changed much at all. it is still in essence the same system now as when it was new. in the front and rear diffs, there are two extra shafts, one rotating at +15% axle speed, and one at -15%. to vector torque, the computer will lock the the inner or outer wheels to these shafts.(depending on what drive mode is selected, it may or may not adjust throttle also).
basically it's an over-complicated version of what Mitsubishi already does in their lancer evolution's differentials... except instead of using planetary transmissions and clutch packs, the evo has two shafts in the differentials that are rotating at + and - 15% normal axle speed. when the computer detects slippage or insufficient torque it reacts by locking the corresponding wheel to one of the shafts to compensate. Audi doesn't DO "revolutionary".
if you lift off the throttle does the outside wheel produce more engine braking and slow down more than the inside???
