  • wow!!!

I was one of the lead animators on this game, never thought I'd see it again..

The guy who wrote this delirious game is my business partner now, we have an animation studio together.. and yes his imagination hasn't changed a bit, he is one of the wackiest people I know :)

This video brought me back so many memories from the 90's, I actually remembered working on some of the videos you show here.. it seems like yesterday.

    wow again, and thanks!

  • btw, we had a few meetings back then to decide the name of the game, I wanted to call it:

Migraine (My Gran) but it was rejected :)

  • I've gotta hand it to you, the animations in this game a far advanced for when it came out. I was really impressed with how consistent the shadows and lighting were even in the strangest environments, not to mention the attention paid to all the numerous little details littering the game. They add a lot of personality to things.

  • @BigBangBlitz

hehe thanks! it was done using such primitive tools.. the animation was 9 frames per second (that's why its so choppy), all pre-rendered, no IK just FK (if that interesting to anyone) , it was animated on 3D studio DOS v3 and v4.. and design-wise.. errr actualy there was no design, everyone did what ever they wanted :)

I just showed it to Benny the guy who wrote it.. he actually tried and failed to solve this game back then, he needed the cheat sheet :))

  • so? looks like the average republican political outlook to me.

  • From the minds of David Lynch and Hunter S. Thompson...

  • not your average LSD induced animation

  • 6:19 nothing's as it seems. what if you can't grasp anything, is it something?

  • @BigBangBlitz damn, another piece of live-action-meets-animation mayhem starring Christopher Lloyd! How did I not know about that game? Oh well, i still say it applies to A&D too. How else do you explain entire scenes and setpieces being a door to some come completely different setting? That infinite sky above you? Yeah, it was a hoax. You're in a 20-foot high corridor.

  • This entire video is deserving of THIS videoclip.

    watch?v=vhe3vSe-mmw

  • Could Armed and Delirious be a substitute to illicit drugs?

  • It's a bit too overwhelming to merely be a substitute.

  • @AdmiralMcFish your comment still blows my mind ...

  • @AdmiralMcFlash your comment just blew my mind ...

@BigBangBlitz it'd be crazy to see a LP of this game. I'd do it myself but i have zero patience with Normal Point-n-click games, let alone this madness. Interesting idea, though: what if take Looney Tunes logic and make an adventure game out of it?

  • I guess you'd have Toonstruck.

...check out the video I just uploaded, but I warn you now, it might be more than you can handle..

  • Did someone slip me some acid?

  • FUCK

  • WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!!

  • @akelith Your issue is assuming they where on only one thing.

  • uh...

  • I think I lost a few iq points watching this

  • 1,337th viewer.

  • This is like experiencing delirium tremens when you're sober.

  • I think it's supposed to simulate what senility is like, but that's debatable. Anyway, I can't wait until i'm 70!

  • To a stoner this would make Ren and Stimpy look like Starwars.

  • This looks like one of those Canadian flash cartoons.

  • This shit is fifty different kinds of bananas.

  • Holy fucking jesus christ - what was THAT?

  • This game is about about about about about

  • The following is an accurate portrayal of what happens every night in West Virginia.

  • Not only will you need buy the game, but you'll have also have to pay for a psychiatrist to help guide you through each screen just to make sure you're sane.

  • This is what drove Rorschach insane in Watchmen.

  • I've been slipping in and out of consciousness lately, and have begun to lose my grip on reality. Suddenly I feel right at home.

  • What the fuck were they thinking?

  • What is this, I don't even...

  • The inner realms of the mind, too incomprehensible to bare, are brought to life in this esoteric and, over all, very existentialistic game. Truth be told, it boldly expresses the only truth about society; that behind it all lurks chaos. Armed and Delirious expresses a society that has reached perfection not through its attempts to maintain a form of pseudo-stability, but instead by embracing the natural order of chaos that exists in the universe. Unfortunately, we cannot truly appreciate this.

  • This doesn't have shit on Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong Nou.

  • Ive seen some shit

  • Here goes:

In the tradition of Shakespeare's Hamlet and Conrad's Heart of Darkness, Armed and Delirious challenges its audience to question the foundations of culture and society and the very nature of existence. In the game's tormented protagonist, Granny, the audience sees itself.

  • i'm a wizard, and that shit is fucked up

  • Dynamite Heady was an amazing game, never forgot it

  • Someone divided by zero.

  • What is this fuckery?

  • Maybe its just a PSA on LSD. They hid shit like that into EVERYTHING from the 90s.

  • I don't think theirs anything wrong with this?

Then again i did take a hit of acid and this flower that just started growing out of my computer with the face of hitler is screaming at me "THIS IS MAKES NO SENCE!" so i might be wrong?

  • For those who still have brain cells left in their fragile skulls, we present the game that will make all the rest of them commit seppuku in mere seconds.

  • I'm pretty sure there's blood coming out of somewhere, I know I'm missing some now.

  • *pinches self* ......... *pinches self again*

  • This is what the world would look like when Gozer the Gozerian would have won over the Ghostbusters.

  • Added to description

  • I think I left my brain in a balloon somewhere thanks to this video.

For another bat shit insane game, check out E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy for the PC. Everything about that game I've heard is deliciously mental. It deserves a look-see.

  • That's one game I wish I had and may actually buy even if I don't have time to play it. It kicks a good deal of ass.

  • Welcome to a world beyond logic and reason, a place that even the Twilight Zone would have trouble fully explaining, a point and click adventure that ACTIVELY denies you the ability to fully grasp what's going on with strange musical interludes, odd characters, and events that make less sense as time goes on in what can only be described as the designers trying to gaslight the player into a sense of madness. Nothing to do left but sit back and let the madness set in and just try to keep up.

  • so is the premise of this whole game an old lady looking for a cookbook?

  • EHhh

Maybe? I think that has something to do with it aside from setting Granny off at the start.

  • I love dynamite Headyy and Stretch panic

  • this game would probably be normal when on drugs.

  • this is just a really elaborate 3D Movie Maker clip

  • That's the best description so far!

  • This is the most disturbing thing I've ever seen in my life.

  • It just makes to little sense to even bother me. Is this un edited? It's hard to tell.

  • It's heavily, heavily edited. It shouldn't be possible to tell if you didn't play it but it actually makes less sense than this.

  • @BigBangBlitz Ah. Thanks. I have a feeling the unedited game is weird and just so weird it's not that intersting after a while?

  • It's weird in a compelling way, but weird as such that it being a point and click adventure you're going to run into a brick wall while trying to make progress. Man, you will hit it HARD.

  • @BigBangBlitz Man I run into a brick wall in a NORMAL point and click. I bet I would have issues in the first room!

Thansk a lot of showing off this weird games, and more overlooked games coming anytime soon? I liked those

  • I have a really good one actually. I just can't stop playing it, and I want to showcase it properly so i'll be researching it a while.

  • Looks very interesting. I like it.

  • My...brain.. it's about too-hjgfwsak;alsdklgnsndazsp;kglnsalokgfdsogpn
