I can't see how this is techno since techno has a four-to-the-floor bit whereas this tune hasn't. It isa beautiful ambient/proto-IDM tune from the 90s though

I love Global Communication, I've been listening to this since I was 15 or something, that's 14 years ago... Time goes so fast when you're listening to brilliant music!

BTW I've been trying to record milkdrop clips from winamp but it's always messed up with every program I try it. This seems pretty good though, apart from the somewhat low frame rate. Any tips please? Cheers

Ok, I tried fraps once on my old pc but it couldn't cope with it :-D

But I have dual core now and a lot of ram and video memory so I guess I should just try it again with fraps.

Its nice to know how people reference this sort of music, so you can find more of it. Too bad there wasnt a musical database of sort, where the beats per min, sounds related, frequencies and rhythms were put on a "tree" so to speak.

It is techno!.... techno just means technology based music (ie, synths, computers.... little electro box's that go bleep.... whatever!)! It's ambient techno....

what about rock played on electric guitars made by technological devices, connected to synths playing out of speakers, recorded on techno computers played by techno radios and listened on techno ipods.....its still rock..not tehno..your coffee with sandwich is techno, yet its food and drink, not techno....just to be clear here..this is not ambient techno..techno is techno, ambient is ambient...

What about rock played on electric guitars then?.... i agree that that is still tehnology... but the term is a way of defining electronic music recorded on untraditional instruments with synthetic sounds.... your just being picky now...

Ambient music, is more like a collage of timbral sounds performed in such away as it is to create atmospheric sensation.... ambience if you will... this album 7614 combines both elements of techno and ambience.... the ambience in the background, and the mellow techno music (not all techno is hardcore)on top...

techno is techno+ambient is ambient=ambient techno

great track, exactly what I was searching for with the whispering and stuff, was just listening to a Jean Michel Jarre track which has whispering on and reminded me of this, I looked on Space NIght 2 but that has a different tune from the album which this track is from (By the way, download Space Night 2 for more stuff like this).
