PPLH (Private Pilot Licence Helicopter) takes 50 hrs and costs about $35,000 AUD to $40,000 AUD depending on how many hours you need to do. Most people don't do it in 50 hrs. More like 60 to 70 hrs. CPLH (Commercial Pilot Licence Helicopter) needs about 110 hours, and the same is the case, no one does it in 110. More like 120 to 130 required. Cost of the CPLH when I last heard someone talk cost is about $75,000 AUD to $80,000 AUD. You then have to get a job and recoup that. Hope that helps.

How much does it cost for a standard Helicopter CPL these days??? And I dont mean what the flight schools tell you on minimum numbers I mean what are people generally paying to walk away with a CPL? Thanks
