A fantastic player, good quality for a good price, but I'm sorry I have the cdj1000 mk3 and I tested the cdj400 and there are so many differences in terms of precision and functions.

Probably the best of this machine:

-price

-quality

-look

-size

-usb for ipod and hard disk

I think especially if your used to the 1000mk3, using any other cdj will feel strange, like the 800mk2, a lot more touchy, and then through the Cdj400 in with its smaller size. I think these decks are a great value, but being compared to the 1000 that cost twice as much is a little over board.

CDJ-400 is fully compatible with MP3 + u can connect a UB-stick or external harddisk.. soo nice.. just ordered 2 myself.. :D

Im not sure but I assume that it handles it almoste exactly the same.

The 400 does not like VBR mp3s. I've found that the USB functionality can be v dodgy at times, especially with ipods and large hard drives

Ive noticed it doesent like Vbrs much on mine too. I have two 4 gb thumb dirves and playing them its completely fine. However, the tempo does not usually sync up right, and the jog wheel becomes limited. Thats all Ive really noticed though, but still, its annoying.

Nice video, simple and gentle. But the usb read time is to slow, whenever when you plug USB, it shuld be for a long, cuz you have a lot of musics over there.

It only took about 10 seconds from what i saw. It seems as though once its loaded, there isnt an issue as far as accessing the tracks after that.
