I think it's funny how people talk about it being too violent. If you watched the original shows it was violent even though it was for kids. Just like the turtles, batman, etc. I guess it being in a cartoon form gave the illusion it wasn't violent but using more realistic graphics showed how it really looks.
I'm really surprised how anyone thought it was so amazing. It was just Robots fighting. That's cool but story? No we get comic relief. What if Spiderman 1 and 2 were all comic relief and action? It would be Spiderman 3 or Terminator 3.

tranf didnt look like the animated G1 version i grew up with...improved complex design (you could see every little part and bolt move in the movie), and wow with the human element! ITS ABOUT THE ROBOTS IMPACT ON OUR LIVES! COOL! Megatron looks vicious with those teeth! Clever how he wasn't a tank or huge cannon/howitzer, the story didn't require him to have an Earth disguise, loved the cannon in his his arms...that was kick ass and a nice tribute to the 80s animated series.

LOTR was a set of three films which were exactly the same as each other. They were long, boring and unnecessary. Peter Jackson needs to learn to pay more attention to story telling and to hire an editor who isn't afraid to cut a scene or two. I just saw this movie and, against my expectations, it rocks! The robots are so well done, they feel very realistic and metallic yet flexible (the great challenge for special fx people nowadays is to make CGI look like they aren't CGI- flicks like The Hulk 1 failed at this subject - since we all know how it's done. They pulled it off here! Cars and robots feel so dynamic - so sometimes you can't tell if it's gigantic real machines filmed or CGIs placed after! Nice trick).
I never saw Transofrmers before this, and I found this movie to be great..its got me interested about other autobot haracters etc..which I really dont like because I feel like a nerd but hey the movie has done its job..its introduced Transformers to a much wider audience than just the nerds who used to watch it as kids..may i just add how very sad some of you were to send Michael Bay death threats because he changed Optimus slightly..god damn what you gonna do throw your glasses at him?

i love transformers, but what the fuck were they smoking when they came up with the character designs. scorponok, i rest my case. what ever happened to the superbadass robot in the cartoon series headmasters. i really think they messed with a good thing i just hope the second movie stays true to G1! but i have a feeling the dinobots are going to look like jurassic freakin' park! every character could be incorperated to look like the originals just updated and more realistic versions!

I can't believe Transformers didn't win the Oscar for Best Visual Effects. It lost to the retarded Golden Compass. A car turning into a robot to a girl riding a polar bear, there's just no way this didn't win.

But one of the great things here are the charismatic robots (they made it possible, yes!) and the comic reliefs. It's a great screenplay. Plus, the epic battles are state of the art! I've never seen so much mayhem and destruction during a war scene, not even in Independence Day!

I just saw this movie and, against my expectations, it rocks! The robots are so well done, they feel very realistic and metallic yet flexible (the great challenge for special fx people nowadays is to make CGI look like they aren't CGI- flicks like The Hulk 1 failed at this subject - since we all know how it's done. They pulled it off here! Cars and robots feel so dynamic - so sometimes you can't tell if it's gigantic real machines filmed or CGIs placed after! Nice trick).

I never saw Transofrmers before this, and I found this movie to be great..its got me interested about other autobot haracters etc..which I really dont like because I feel like a nerd but hey the movie has done its job..its introduced Transformers to a much wider audience than just the nerds who used to watch it as kids..may i just add how very sad some of you were to send Michael Bay death threats because he changed Optimus slightly..god damn what you gonna do throw your glasses at him?
