When I'd come home from school and mess around in the backyard.

When light began to submerge into heavens, I would come back inside.

I'd battle for the TV when Friends or Seinfield was on.

When it was my turn, I would turn on the playstation, and hunt for a game.

There was Syphon Filter, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil.

I threw in Resident Evil 3 and played it as hard as I watched X-Files.

@crdr98 Well, technically, for Resident Evil... Code Veronica was the 4th installment...then 0. RE4 is actually the 6th installment to the main story. But I do agree with you about Silent Hill 4. Funny thing about that..it originally wasn't gonna be called Silent Hill. They figured it would sell more if it were part of the SH franchise. :P

Great theme. This is the best save room musoc in all the RE games because it has a certain charm and class to it that the other ones lack. In fact the game RE3 had a certain charm and class that the rest lacked

I remember this music so well, the sound of the footsteps, then the box opening and the typewriter when you save it. It all comes back to me now :). Soo many good memories. Scary when you know nemisis is outside and the music changes, then it goes black as you go through the door and that scary music is still playing and you know he's outside!! I never really got around to playing Resident Evil 1, but I did play 2,3,4 and 5. And I can by far say that this was the best one of them all.

2 and 3 were simply amazing, then along came Resident Evil 4, which sort of ruined it for me. It just did not, not even remotely, give the same feeling as the old ones did.

Nonetheless, I find #4,5 both great games gameplay-wise, but they pretty much left out every element of the game that made it scary.

This of course, is my personal opinion.

The horror/survival games got old. I mean how many times can we play the same shit over and over again. The old RE games are awesome but RE4 is one of the greatest games ever made and is just as good as anything in the series. Capcom specifically said MULTIPLE times before RE5's release that they wanted they game to play out like an action movie because they wanted to try something different.

In my opinion, the only good thing that 4 and 5 brought to the series was the over-the-shoulder camera angle.

I admit, it was a good idea for Capcom to try new things, but I don't want them to keep going in the "Action" direction they've taken with the series.

I think they need to fuse the old gameplay with the new camera angles. That would be pretty good. As long as it doesn't turn out like Dead Space, which was a good game, but not ever scary, at all.

If only they would have brought in the concept that they had with the "Hooked Man" and "Fog" Versions of Resident Evil 4...I know it was too paranormal, but it kept the same atmosphere as the other games, while adding in the Over-Shoulder perspective. If they would have went with that, I think the RE series wouldn't be as action-oriented as it is now...
