yeah Raul is such a good handler he doesn't give him instructions on what rifle to buy and sends him back to exchange the first one! what is this amateur hour?
The assassination of MLK, Got Samuel L Jackson, Too join the Black panther's.
That is a true fact, For those of you who did not know.
This was obviously bullshit, Just like how oswald was in it by himself when he shot JFK, That's why two hours after he shoots JFK some guy named Ruby comes out of the crowd, While Oswald is hand cuffed and shot him in the Abdomen. I do believe JFK got assassinated by the mafia. Oswald was a low iffliate of the mafia, Than he got killed himself, Too silence him.
This is what happened - Ray was coaxed into shooting MLK and before he could shoot MLK, another sniper shot MLK. He knowingly didn't make the shot and tried to escape. This is also what happened with JFK but Oswald made the shot as well as the sniper who was in charge of carrying out the hit if oswald didn't make it.
Did James Earl Ray have any gun experience? Let alone sniper rifle? Why did he leave his gun on a sidewalk in plain view? What? People with bags would get checked out? Just don't act strange around police and they wouldn't check you out. Seems odd to me.
Ray did it. He shadowed King for months, but is seems likely he had help to be able both financially and physically to move around as he did following the assassination.
@inkyguy Then he did it as part of an organized plot.
Ray certainly could have done it but I find it interesting that an ex-con with no experience as a killer or assassin and who basically majored in burglary and thievery would be able to easily to shoot and kill MLK with one shot and one shot only.
@MultiSmartass1 And same with JFK was killed by one guy. Kennedy was in a moving car and somehow was killed pretty easily by one guy. A guy who happened to have a gun at his work place and knew he was going to show up and have the top down.
@scottieman2 Not a gun, a bolt-action Italian rifle with misaligned sight-obviously the ideal rifle to use on a head of state.
Getting back to Ray, even if we assume that he was a racist who hated King and wanted him dead why do very few people wonder why he was put himself under the most intense national and worldwide media spotlight when he was a convict who went to great lengths to not only escape from prison but to stay low-key?
I guess you are not supposed to ask those questions.
Pretty weird that a guy without ANY violence in his past, decides to kill King - 1 shot one kill, for no reason? I think he had help, recruited and was trained.
@tellurye At least no violence in his criminal activity.
Ray was a low-rent criminal who specialized in robberies- a hit like this was a quantum leap in criminality for him.
Again, keep in mind that Ray had escaped from Jefferson City Missouri's Prison, a tough prison to escape from.
We are believe that Ray was skilled enough to keep himself on the run under a alias without attracting undue attention to himself and then foolishly decided to track MLK and shoot him?
@MultiSmartass1 Yeah, I agree. I know they say the shot was easy so anyone could have made it, but like you said that's a BIG first step. He was smart, cunning, maybe strong, but to cross that line to murder?
Do you think he was trained / had help or that he never even shot at all? In my opinion, for him to cross that line must have promised him millions, or a new life, or what have you. What are your thoughts on the shooting?
@tellurye What you say might make some sense. Why hire a thief and robber to assassinate a major public figure? Why not get a professional? If it was a hit, it was done so that Ray would easily take the fall.
Even someone like Oswald-if he killed Kennedy-never took the rifle with him. Ray actions don't make any sense even for an untrained killer.
Again, I state, he was wily enough to use a false name and keep himself hidden from cops and authorities but he kills and clumsily leaves the rifle?
What's odd about Ray and what should be noted is that Ray was an escaped convict.
He broke out of the prison in Jefferson City and crisscrossed certain parts of the country
Since he obviously wanted to remain free, why take on such a hugely risky undertaking?
I mean Ray was basically a thief and robber not a killer or assasin.
WE are asked to believe that Ray was able to shoot and kill King with one shot and yet he was foolish enough to panic and leave his rifle and personal effects outside?
@MultiSmartass1 I think he would take on such a huge undertaking because he needed to get out of the country. If the conspiracy theories and Ray's own statements are true, the man known as Raul was the ticket up to Canada or someplace else. A little quid pro quo.
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to kill someone in one shot, any mook could pull that off. As far as leaving the gun, Ray's own lawyer admits that he was incompotent in terms of criminal actions.
@PeterBluth You can kill someone with one shot at point blank range.
From Ray position at the boarding house to shoot King with one shot and one shot alone? You have to be at the very least a good shooter.
I haven't read or seen anything to suggest that Ray was a skilled marksman or proficient with guns.
Also, you and others have not addressed the essential nature of my point about Ray. Why would an escaped convict risk recapture to kill a high profile target?
@MultiSmartass1 They say it's better to be lucky than good. Ray could've been the lucky one.
No, he wasn't a good shot, but dumb luck goes a long way.
I have addressed it. He wanted to get out of the country. My theory is that this Raul character was the one who wanted him to pull the trigger in exchange for him to get out of the country. That Raul's hands weren't on the rifle and Ray could get the hell outta Dodge. Quid pro quo.
@PeterBluth If Ray did pull the trigger then he is one of the least and most effective assasins I have seen for he left several pieces of evidence yet he was able to elude law enforcement and leave the country.
@MultiSmartass1 I never said he did it alone. I'm merely saying he could've shot King. Ray's own lawyer has said that Ray wasn't a good criminal. One time, trying to outrun the cops in a stolen car, he turned and went into a driveway. Another time, he left his wallet at a crime scene. And if he was able to pull the shooting off, it would dumb luck if he hit the target.
I explained why an escaped convict would do something like this. It could've been his only way out of the country.
I love MLK jr <3 He really had a huge impact on me. That's why im never racist. =/ all people should be EQUAL

Anyone WITH experience can shoot a dialed-in rifle at a target hundred yards away.
If that scope's not dialed in,
the Lone Ranger couldn't do it.
Try it yourself and see what happens.
Guns don't typically come with scopes-
they are from two different manufacturers.
Scopes continue to need to be sighted in regularly to remain accurate.
Gun shops don't sight them in for you on a brand new rifle.
They sell a brand new UNFIRED gun with a scope right out of the box attached.

If this is a true recount of this supposed "shadowy character"
called "Raul",, it's obvious Raul is part of an organised
group capable of setting-up such assassinations, have the
power erase or change their identity, pose unknown, nor exist
and get away with just about anything without any trace and
use "pawns" that are considered petty people to commit the
crime. These type of characters i wouldn't mess with.
Filomenon73 1 year ago

MultiSmartass1 1 year ago
@MultiSmartass1 Yeah bu ti don't think Ray, - even as you state
a low-rent type of criminal - isn't capable of murder. Criminal
regardless he is known for low type crime, is still capable of
killing. He obviously had assistance in getting to where he got to
to commit the assassination including planning where to do it
exactly.
Filomenon73 1 year ago
@Filomenon73 Being capable of killing is not the same as being able to assassinate someone.
Even of Ray was filled to the brim with hatred for King and other blacks, why risk his freefom by killing King?
Again, common sense wasn't used.
Even an amateur knows you don't take a rifle used in a killing, panic and then leave in front of a building in broad daylight. That's just dumb.
If Ray was a complete moron, it would make sense. By all accounts, he was fairly intelligent.
I dont buy it.

Why would he dropped the gun, that was funny
89Ryanhoward 1 year ago
@89Ryanhoward Good point. Even a sloppy first-time killer knows that you don't leave a gun or rifle behind near or at the crime scene.
Frankly, Ray could have shot King-certainly he lived at that boardinghouse at the time.
However, the witness testimony was suspect.
The main person who saw Ray was often drunk.
Even if you think Ray killed King-What reason other than racism would he have to kill King?
Ray was an escaped convict who had been traveling all over the nation.
Why kill King?
