My Zii EGG screen is unresponsive to the touch in about 50 % of the overall area. Is there a way to calibrate the screen or is it defective. ??

That is what I was afraid of. I was hopeful that it released as non-crippled PMP. Too good to be true I suppose. What leads you to believe that it will be a phone? I know Creative is holding a summit Dec 1st and 2nd to showcase the ZII platform.

This looks pretty excruciating to use, so far. The touch screen doesn't look very responsive and if I'm not mistaken, it looks like the Zii chip has trouble keeping up with your input commands.

Either Creative will have to make the UI more responsive through software optimizations or they'll have to release a more powerful device when it goes mainstream.

very nice seeing android coming along! Does the current build have access to all the hardware (gps, etc)? You mentioned google marketplace, do you think it will be made available on 2.0? Does the zii qualify for the "google experience?"
