My favorite type of green tea is Genmaicha. I don't know why but Sencha makes me way too relaxed but Genmaicha gives me that mental boost sometimes better than coffee!
I love my gunpowder green tea, nice smokey flavor to it. By the way thanks for the tip on letting the boil cool for 5 minutes. My friend told me some other way of boiling half of the water then mixing half cold water into that to steep it.
QUESTION: I heard that black tea was bad for you, is it bad? I know green tea is good for you, I was just wondering because I drink Earl Grey Tea a lot, I know Green Tea has more benefits, so I might go back to drinking it, Great vid : )
I like green tea!!! I buy my loose leaf green tea from an asian grocerey store. I have a glass type tea pot with a little metal basket that you put the loose leaf into it, and it has a plastic handle and holder. I can see it steeping and know when it is ready to serve. I love hearing about all the health benefits it has, and how easy it is to make. When eating at a Japanese or chinese restaurant, they serve the tea very hot and some friends do too, that can cause burning & effect benefits.
Mike, if you would...... please spell out that brand of the first cut green tea that you're using in this video! The tin is beautiful! I would like to see if I can get it online! Thanks for the video and as always, you're awesome! Be well!
@In2HealthyLiving it's spelled hatsuzumi shncha. it's imported from Japan and sold at a local asian specialty shop. good luck, hope you find some....peace
So first cut tea tastes better? Or has better antioxidant properties?
I don't really drink the green tea for taste, I just like to drink it early in the morning when it's still dark and really quiet. Very calming. I'm just not sure the premium stuff is worth the price difference.
@k0d14k1 like i say in the vid, first cut is the best cut with the most benefits...other than that, all green teas are better for you than most drinks...
I have seen the same kind of little teapot you have at a thrift store, so next time I will buy one since you explained how to use one. I did not realize there was a mesh inside it. Thank you for your informative videos.:) *Peace to you and yours* and Take Care :) ohhh yeah Happy Holidays. :)

i love green tea! i drink 2-3 cups every day.
but i can't find that kind of tea here. i buy green tea in 'health food' stores and leaves are dried out and kind of scrumbled.. rolled up.
i don't like tea in filter bags.. who knows what they put in there.. :S
