  • this pleases me.

  • I, am going to learn this. its going to be awesome. during the process, every windo will be broken, and probably small fires around the house. makes me wanna hit stuff.

  • Totally the raddest twisted shovel core derived from Dutch spine slink. You fucking crybabies don't know shit about blast rock.

  • Doesn't anyone else hear black metal in this?

  • when emo means emotions....not stupid goth haircut or vampire lifestyle.....

  • screamo is a ofset of metal its that simple. to say that screamo isn metal is just stupid considering that without metal there would be no screamo. yes, screamo also has punk influence on avg but their are plenty of metal/screamo bands out there. screamo would best be classed as post hard rock punk infusion.

    the get up kids

    +

    sex pistols

    =

    screamo

  • @mrflumps01 i dont really think so, screamo, this form, is punk rock, plain and simple. I mean listen to anything like Bad Brains, TSOL, Gorilla Biscuits....whatever your flavor...screamo just has a dash of that downtempo in it like Electric Wizard, Sleep, or Weedeater....but at the core its just punk rock. I dont really dig on the mass idea that metal plays a huge part in the influence of this sound.

  • @mrflumps01

Screamo is not an offset of metal. Screamo evolved from hardcore punk. Screamo is not metal. They are two completely different genres. The Get Up Kids + The Sex Pistols = two completely different bands and genres.

  • metal is the father of anything hard and loud

  • @BedBrain Incorrect. The official founders of metal was Black Sabbath as you probobly know, and they were originally inspired by the Punk genre, from whitch both the Emo and the Screamo genre was also inspiret of (accept Metal isn't a subgenre of Punk)

  • What the fuck is this ear poison? .__.

I love metal and all..but this is awful.

  • @3DevilsNeverCry3 This is beautiful

  • @3DevilsNeverCry3 I'm not a screamo fan but I'm fairly certain that Screamo wants nothing to do with Metal - completely different genres.

  • @3DevilsNeverCry3 IT"S REAL SCREAMO/EMOVIOLENCE! NOT FUCKING METAL.

  • I love how I can understand every word he/she/it says.

  • it's all PUNK in nature. Posers

  • ALSO SPRACHT ZARATHUSTRA

  • Comment removed

  • why the fuck does every punk, metal, jazz, and edm subgenre need to be properly listed

just let it be gray area stuff so it can evolve properly

  • Go look at the Wiki. I see with my little eye a very white belt, that answers all your questions.

  • this is some nice polka

  • Emo depends on lyrics. So everyone stfu.

  • @vincent6445 Umm.. No. Emo is a genre in of itself. Rites of Spring, Sunny Day Real Estate, Braid, Empire! Empire!, etc.

  • @phoenixsingerpdx oh ok i always get bitched at by ppl at school when i say its a genre of its own. >___>

  • Comment removed

  • rights of spring= pioneers of post- hardcore

sunny day real estate, braid= technically post-hardcore

emo= not a real genre, "emo" was created to market bands to a mass audience.

read the book Post: a Look at the Influence of Post-Hardcore 1985-2007 by Eric Grubbs on google books.

  • @Cazpr1 Sunny Day and Braid being post-hardcore? Huh.

  • @Oneupsalesman everyone is confused. Sunny Day Real Estate is Altern. Rock which pioneered Emo and raised into mainstream. Braid is also Post-Hardcore, amirite?

  • @Cazpr1 not true really. bands like the get up kids pioneered real emo. if you compare say fall out boy and the get up kids you wouldnt think they are the same genre

  • @Cazpr1 Sunny Day Real Estate Post-Hardcore? Hmmm...

  • This is grindcore not fucking screamo, emoviolence, or any of that shit keep the emo out of it.

  • @cyanidedream THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FUCKING GRINDCORE YOU 2K11 FUCKING MORON, YOU CLUELESS FUCK UP, YOU'RE FUCKING RETARDED YOU FUCKING BRAINLESS FUCKING RETARDED CUNT

  • @cyanidedream screamo is not emo

  • @SLiPKnoT19891 scremo seems made for emo if emo was really driven by music and not fashion . this kids saying it was emo like wikiit.

    D, ,

  • @cyanidedream Sorry dude, not grindcore.

  • @cyanidedream This is origional fundemental screamo. The best, accept it.

  • song meaning? fuck the genre

  • [troll]

    Nietzsche is dead.

    - God

    [/troll]

    ^^

  • @AigreSonge fuck you

  • @AigreSonge God is Nietzsche - Dead

  • @Funechrist

Haha that's the greatest quote! ^^

  • yo peense que esto era crust :S

  • god is dead

  • Just here to say fuck Nietzsche. Overrated tool. good song though;.

  • this legit scared ne

  • Nietzche wrote thus spoke zarathustra and coined the term god is dead.

  • @XxImafxckingvxganxX he also had a bad ass mustache and walked in woods.

  • how to u pronounce nietzche and wut does it mean?

  • @NWHPjpplayer1 It's pronounced Neetchee, I think. He was a philosopher.

  • Guys, the genre marks are getting ridiculous. You can call this whatever you like, who cares. This band is fucking chaos, I dig it.

  • Not my cup of tea at all, but I can see somebody really intent on breaking stuff really enjoying this.

  • i know that feel bro

  • Someone should learn how to spell Nietzsche.

  • EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE EMOVIOLENCE....So shut up, scene kids and LISTEN TO FUCKING MUSIC!!!

  • omg THIS is who gives a fuck genre and enjoy the dam music! geeez

  • who really gives a fuck about what genre it is,?, its either good music or its not, either you like it or you dont, and if dont, then listen to something else

  • What is black veil brides doing in the suggesions?

  • The genre is emoviolence you dense hipster fucks.

  • screamo is a derrogatory term that ppl call ANY music with screaming in it. Stop using the fucking word

  • Comment removed

  • @mbphofan but thats what the genre is. screamo

  • @PneumonicHawk1 screamo implies emo with screaming. This band and alot of other bands arent emo with screaming. There was a popularity of emo bands around 1999-2003 for the most part, bands like saves the day, hot rod circuit, the getup kids...those are emo bands. Then screaming became increasingly popular with bands like alexisonfire and silverstein and other POST-HARDCORE bands. If anything, bands like hawthorne heights and saosin are screamo, and even then i dont agree with the name

  • @mbphofan its never really implied emo to me. but then theres so many bands that can fall under the category there is a lot of controversy about whats what,. when i think of emo i think of shit like black veil brides (i hate them) . its all just confusing. but then if this isnt screamo what is it?

  • @PneumonicHawk1 Black Veil Brides is metalcore, a shitband that brought stupid 13 yr olds into the emo scene

  • @ScandinavianEmokid exactly. theyre terrible

  • @mbphofan Screaming has been popular for a VERY long time, especially within the hardcore punk scene which emo later was an offspring of, but in my opinion this is what emos of today SHOULD listen to, and not pop-punk bands or anyone that play mainstream since the original old-school emo music was DIY. the term is so loose today that it's a shame

  • @mbphofan Screaming as always been popular in Post-Hardcore, since screaming was used ALOT in hardcore punk, and post hardcore is just a modern form / aftermath of hardcore punk. I dunno how else to describe it. I hate it when kids call everything with screaming vocals "screamo" Real screamo is now called Skramz

  • Comment removed

  • lol this aint not music its just a guy screemin into a micorphone come on srsly u gais hes not even trian to sing rly

  • @Nizzemanden 1. That's why it's called screamo.

    2. Please get yourself a dictionary and fix your spelling errors.

  • @metalcoreisnotmetal No, that's not the reason it's called screamo. A lot of music categorized as screamo doesn't feature screamed vocals. My spelling errors are none of your business. The first video on your page is Dimmu Borgir, your opinion doesn't count.

  • @Nizzemanden Trolling for someone to talk to ?

  • @joshjs667 nah. i was just too apathetic to keep it up.

  • real music

  • I never pay attention to what they're saying. i just make the screaming noises. This song roolz.

  • @kaiserwilhelm the lyrics are pretty good though

  • i get that genres arent supposed to be taken that seriously and they dont really matter but its kinda annoying when everyone thinks that all music with screaming vocals are considered screamo

  • @quinnofearth To me, genres work like categories, or sections like you have in a library, as an example. When someone calls Bring Me The Horizon screamo, it's so wrong to me, because it's nothing like this. Which is what it originally where. You get me? Like.. I'm not saying it's bad in anyway, or that genres should decide what you listen to. But without them, there would be no difference between this and say Eminem.

  • @WEIRDNGEEKY i agree. Genres are important to distinguish what kind of music you like or to find bands that you might like.

  • just once id like to see a nice discussion going on about something interesting instead of the usual derr derr derrppp derrrp scremo derppppp

  • Screamo... The official music sponsor of the emo culture

  • @GUAVcis06 Nope. That'd be emocore.

  • @GUAVcis06 not really

  • woah......AWESOME!!!

  • Reminds me of The Clash touching on some political topics. This is some new evolve punk taken to the maximum.

  • It's hilarious that people are arguing about a genre classification for a band that sang songs about Derrida.

  • Back when screamo/emo wasn't an offensive term.. Good times. No one knows what emo is anymore.

  • These guys just give me a headache, fucking love it.

  • Why can't you just listen to music and have your own thoughts. People have different tastes so chill the fuck out

  • People have a good reason to bicker about genre classification in this case. This is a screamo band, which alludes to something more than simply screamed introspective lyrics. Words have meanings, even if its a made up word. The reason genre terms are so stupid is because they lose meaning when people misapply them.

  • i absolutely hate seeing people talking about shitty bring me the horizon and devil wears prada on this video. fuck off trendies.

  • if you're so trying to enjoy the music, don't read the fucking comments. pay attention to the music, not the fan's comments. what are you, stupid??

  • i dunno why people think screamo is a genre of music its not. its an element of music not a genre

  • @Bluddyshadowhell whats an element of music? people forget that when something new comes around, the first wave of it, it doesnt have a preattatched genre name. screamo is a stupid ass name anyway, too bad, cause the good shit is badass.

  • @tehhron screamo is like rap. people call its own genre because they think that vocals define the music when in actually its not. its the instruments and how you play the instruments that define the genre not entirely depended on the vocals

  • Who cares what genre it is? Enjoy the music.

  • screamo music is o damn stupid.

  • 46 people are not Nietzsche.

  • I agree with the people defending the genre. All the new age underoath, chiodos, pierce the veil, pretty styled hair type scene kids need to not use the word screemo for their genre. ( I like some of that stuff too ) but this was ours first. years ago. technical punk with emotive topics. Not fashion infused whiny metal pop. Not in a spiteful way but educate yourselves.

  • @deadmothkbt There was none of that scene around Underoath when they started out, they were never like those other bands you mentioned anyway, (original Underoath I'm taking about). Genre, for the most part, means fuck all anyway.

  • I started listening to these guys 4 years ago, and I gotta say it truly is pure emotion

  • Guys, you have it all wrong. This is Progressive Post-Avant Math Jazzcore.

  • @FiendJesterChaos Greatest thing I've ever heard anyone say.

  • @FiendJesterChaos try jizzcore

  • @FiendJesterChaos NO! YOU have it all wrong! It's EMOVIOLENCE!!! So shut up and enjoy listening!

  • @TheDepressed100 Whoa dude, calm your tits, I'm just joking along lol

  • @FiendJesterChaos this kind of music (louise cyphre, neil perry, orchid, tristan tzara, etc) known as screamo/emoviolence. what ever, labels doesn't import. feel the music.

  • @payaxo1 I don't think anyone other than the 39 that thumbed up my comment realize I made a joke. You, sir, are full of butthurt.

  • i am really. really. angry. as fuck. i need to download this shit. can someone give me a fkn link

  • @thakey69 you can download this at savevid dot (com) just search savevid in google

  • wait... this is screamo? i like this but i thought that screamo was stuff like Hawthorn Heights which im not a fan of

  • @quinnofearth No. This is actually Neo-Classic Rock.

  • @Doodle0s 0_o god damn all these odd sub-genres are getting confusing af

  • @quinnofearth Erm... That was just a joke.

  • @Doodle0s

Honestly its hard to tell now

  • @quinnofearth lol n00b

  • @Doodle0s holly fucking shit, neo classic rock? I never heard chaotic screaming, along with discordant guitars on an AC DC or a Queen song, ever, not even modern versions of that bands use those elements in their music, this is probably why everyone seem confused about music genres, but you took it too far

  • @WorldEnslaved I love it when people don't get the joke.

  • @quinnofearth did yahoo answers bring you here

  • @titosugr

hahaha no i was sent a link to this video and i read the description

  • that's so fucking awesome ! *-*

  • ohhhh dis songggg

  • holy shit why do people bitch about other people bitching?! if you get so annoyed with the comments than dont read them fgt

  • i am cooler than you.

  • might be their best song.

  • Best thing to sream in my head while sitting in my religion classes.

  • i am trent reznor lol

  • i'm always nietzsche... I bet that's why people hate me... truth hurts

  • someone told me The Devil Wears Prada was screamo the other day.

    I told them "Orchid"

  • i'm nietzsche too

  • BEST SONG

  • Really chaotic and loud. I love it!!!!

  • WooHoo! I've looking to a new shit like that for months! ORCHID MADE MY DAY TODAY!

  • This is the first time I've ever heard this band. Now I'm gonna tell everyone how Screamo they are and ruin your lives. And say stuff like this: "sounds like they r ripping off chiodos these guys suckkkkkkk"

    Consider your lives ruined.

  • woo cool.

    kids stop arguing.

  • no, i am nietzche

  • Anybody ever thought that the intro to this and the intro to Eleventh Hour Tactics by Kaospilot sound somewhat similar but when you compare the two they sound nothing alike?

  • I played in two screamo bands from Portugal.

I have 30 years of age, the word screamo became used as sex. Nowadays you can find kids saying that funeral for a friend, bless the fall, underoath and many more shit is screamo! Screamo´s from 90´s, search and learn for those who talk nonsense. cheers

  • It´s "NietzSche"

  • Anyone who defends the genre of a band does so out of the interest of looking cool. The only reason why you would care about what genre the band is, is so that people who know what music you listen to can think that you are cool because you have a refined taste in music.

  • i prefer post-hardcore/metalcore, although this isn't bad

it's funny how so many people debate about how this is screamo and not post-hardcore

they're just labels, although i do hate when people say metal screams and what not

  • @MrHIMlover yep same here!

  • why does every screamo and other punkish related music video have a debate over the same exact craaaaaaaaap.

  • @IKIndaLoveScreamo Yeah, and probably someone is reading your comment right now and thinking "Screamo has nothing to do with punk, let's do an argue". But serioulsy, it has

This band is fuckin' great, I need more screamo in Orchid/Pg.99 style

  • If they came to the same conclusions as Mencken regarding Nietzche, I'd still be on board, politically. Now I can only claim that they're one of the greatest punk bands of the late 90s early 2000's..

  • @necrocoprophilia Actually bro... Post-Hardcore was the 2nd genre to have breakdowns, aside from the original hardcore. Hardcore- Post-hardcore- Grindcore- Deathcore is the order

  • Holy shit, why do people who are already familiar with this band perpetuate the topic of genre classification? Im just passing through, exploring music, looking for gems. The music is good, but the fans seem to be pretentious infantile slobs who concern themselves with others who have a difference in education or opinion. Pay more attention to the artful music, and less timr on the rhetoric and noise-chatter, please. Im trying to enjoy the music.

  • @endsequence well said

  • @endsequence How about you just listen to the music and like not bother reading any of the comments then? Fuckin weirdo.

  • @TheStroomis You clearly missed the context of my rant, TheStroomis. Tell me something I don't know about the band that may be more useful than trying to tell us all how to paint them into some random niched category. That is the point. I was looking for an interesting read about a great band, but instead, I got empty handed back and forth bickering. This is all almost as superficial as posted up hipsters in an endless debate about which shade of grey is the most grey. You a fan of Orchid?

  • @endsequence Yes I'm a fan of Orchid. I started listening to them like 8 or 9 years ago. The reason people bicker about the whole genre thing is because about 10 years ago this is what a screamo band was. Not many people listened to the shit. Then out of nowhere the word "screamo" just exploded and everyone out there started using it to describe bands that have nothing in common with shit like Orchid. That's why people who've been into this stuff for a long time get pissed off.

  • @TheStroomis yeah, so what? who really cares what people label shit. no point getting pissed over a label, thats just harvesting negative energy for no reason at all.

  • @TheStroomis And thats why people like us are getting pissed off, because they are using the term "screamo" for metalcore, deathcore, mathcore, post-hardcore etc.

Just because they scream doesnt mean it is screamo.

  • @KyleGranthamYTC Man I knew their were people who think like that!

I hate it when they call Bullet For My Valentine and old and new Bring Me The Horizon screamo.

  • @TheStroomis I get pissed off when they call Bring Me The Horizon (old and new) "screamo", or Bullet For My Valentine. Like what Derek Miller said, he said screamo describes a thousand different genres. Basically, ignorant people call any music "screamo" if it has screaming vocals in it. People have made the term "screamo" a pretty vague term nowadays with this new stuff. I call it new wave screamo, modern screamo, or screamocore mostly post- hardcore, that's what I usually listen to. Word limit

  • @dannijulio I would personally call Bring Me the Horizon poop scene shart core that I could care less about. It ain't fucking screamo at all though.

  • @TheStroomis Well they used to be fucking badass deathcore IMO, but now they are metalcore, the shitty kind live, because the frontman smoked too much. You hate the band or the singer or the sound? The drummer is badass, and the guitarist is too. They don't really suck live only the singer does, but the band suffers,. Also, without the singer they would lose the majority of their fanbase.

  • @dannijulio Their entire sound is lame as hell. I don't listen to scenester metal stuff. No offense. Not into it. Also I thought Bring Me the Horizon was always mislabeled grindcore actually? I've never heard anyone call them screamo but I always see people call them grindcore, which is completely wrong as well.

  • @TheStroomis Old conversation but Bring Me The Horizon, Devil Wears Prada and all that other shit is just modern boy bands. think about it. they appeal to mostly young girls and depend on marketing schemes, pop videos and cliche merch to promote themselves. These guys actually wanted to create something.

  • @fVc4FACE I agree about BMTH, but TDWP is in no way a boy band. They're Christians, so they definitely have something to say, and want to create music. I've never met a girl who was all "OMG Mike Hranica is so cute with his missing front tooth." It's all about Oli Sykes and shitty deathcore. TDWP is metal, and they're heavy as fuck. BMTH is, as you say, a modern day boy band.

  • @AceTrainerYT TDWP used to be like BMTH, with the weird song names, but they've grown up alot.

  • @EpicW1n Theyre hipsters now ;)

  • @EpicW1n Okay, I'll give you that.

  • @AceTrainerYT haha so the fact that a band sing about christianity in the "metal" scene suddenly makes it good, and suddenly has something to say?fuck that,TDWP is not heavy as fuck, its a fucking emo lame band that claims to play "hardcore". their fans along with the band would actually shit their pants if they listen to some real old good raw hardcore punk, listen to some disrupt or doom and tell me what the fuck is heavy,TDWP&BMTH MODERN BOY BANDS!!PERIOD

  • @WorldEnslaved I didn't say that's why they were good. The fact that they have a reason to be making music that they care about makes them good. They're also certainly not emo. I've never heard them whine about anything, or say they missed their girlfriend. I'm also sure no one would shit their pants if they listened to Disrupt or Doom or any of the other bands you claim to be "real old good raw hardcore punk" or whatever you said. TDWP is heavy, well-written, metal. Period.

  • @dannijulio Lol what do you mean he smoked to much? Like he smoked and it hurt his voice?

  • @normtheclone You never knew smoking hurts your voice? Smoking, drinking excessively damages it. Now he vocal fries.

  • @dannijulio I was just wondering if maybe you meant he started smoking weed and his taste in music changed.

  • @normtheclone From what I have herd, Oli was screaming incorectly which fucked his screams up. I still love the band.

  • @TheStroomis I can see why you're aggravated. People associate screamo these days as anything with screaming in it, but really it's not like that all. I remember being a kid who listened to shit like Silverstein, Atreyu, Scaring Kids Scaring Kids, but then when I heard bands like this, Daitro, Saetia, Raein, La Quiete, Pg. 99 I began to realize how much better music was when I was listening to bands like them versus that crap on Victory/Rise Records.

  • @TheStroomis Maybe. Maybe it's the angry music you're listening to that is pissing you off. Just a theory.

  • @onymousx Wow. That's one of the dumbest things anyone has ever said. Orchid isn't angry music. Sorry we can't all be cool and listen to awesome shit like Primus. Primus is really cool man!

  • @endsequence

They have every right to get pissed off at people throwing around terms without having a god-damn clue what they mean,

And promoting some of the most heavily compounded misconceptions i've ever seen.

If you don't like seeing people argue about genre classification, don't read Youtube comments.

I don't see why thousands of people have to lose their right to free-speech so you can scroll through some shit on the internet without finding things you don't like.
